Imagine doing this for 10 hours a day.... everyday......every single day just up, down, up, down.... I love these machines, but I could never work one. Respect
It's easy to tell he is on the bottom of the shot or he has cut all the loose material off the top of the drill bench I know I've been there I have 25 years experience on a d 11 in the coal fields of Southwest Virginia
I can’t understand why Cat wants to put mirrors on top of the lift jacks. Obviously they’ve never had track lights shine in their eyes for 10 hours from those mirrors lol.
If you ask me I'm not an engineer but just watching these machines work the bigger they get the wider the tracks need to be the deeper the tread needs to be and the longer they need to be because I watch these great big dozers and you can see the tracks slipping they push huge loads downhill just fine because they got the weight behind their ass and a giant blade but they can't push loads on flat ground or uphill near is good because the tracks just slip if they were deeper maybe put teeth in them or cups for forward movement make them whiter and will much longer there's plenty of room to make them longer for the size of the machine if you look at it proportionately
All the material he is ripping has to be pushed in the up hill direction. Ripping downhill would mean constantly turning around 180 degrees for not much benefit.
@@andrewrobertson5602 Ripping down hill is the most effective way, You rip your entire work area, then you push it off, this way you only turn around once, then once its all pushed as per the slot dozing technique you then clean up your windows, then proceed to rip you hole work area again. I do this for a living on a D11t in an oilsand mine, I have done many Caterpillar sponsored dozer courses, we have 25 D11's where I work with more on the way to support our 90 plus 400 ton truck fleet.
Call me crazy or maybe I'll just stick to moving dirt or digging trench with the trackheo but I've always been told by dozer guys DON'T PUSH UP HILL!!!!! ITS HARD ON THE MACHINES!? 🤷🏻♂️ WHATEVER but I've always been told that huh 🤷🏻♂️
This may be a stupid question but why would a machine of this size need to rip gravel? It should easily cut that material with the blade. If you have frozen ground or solid rock yes ripping is a must. Ripping this looks like a waste of valuable time wear and fuel. Unless there is some unseen reason that camera doesn't show.
Ken Jett it’s much harder than it looks. You can also get pockets of really hard stuff. I have a video of Komatsu’s D11 equivalent not being able to penetrate material like this at all with the ripper.
@@AwesomeEarthmovers well that makes sense was just wondering sometimes you cant see everything with a camera. But in general with gravel ripping isnt necessary. But that is why i asked was a heavy equipment operator myself for years and have pushed my share of all kinds of material. One of my most precarious jobs was pushing blasted rock off a 200 foot high wall. That can test your nerves.
@@specialk3373 just exactly what are you trying to refer? All i was doing was laying out the fact that i had alot of experience to justify my original question. I wasnt trying to be a troll or some smart a$$.
Sorry but to push up hill is stupidity and yes I know the loader is underneath the stockpile. But surely their is a better way of working than this..ripping and pushing up hill.fuel efficiency or what. Been in this Quarry and I've worked here..doing this is destroying the undercarriage..
He has to push it up into a stockpile for a wheel loader. When he first started on that gravel deposit he would have been pushing and ripping downhill but as he’s got deeper he can only go uphill.
Hola soy dominicano y mi sueño es poder operar el dozer d11 porfabol soy muy buen operador y mi sueño es poder operar cada equipo ya se operar 6 pero quiero trabajar en un d11 porfabol alguien me ayuda es mi sueño
My hat is off the the videographer, it's obvious he worked hard. Fantastic job.
This shows that a video can be made using just the sound of the equipment, brilliant.
Damn right not those fuking crap music playing
Este es un claro ejemplo de un buen operador y una excelente maquina . Realizando un trabajo impecable sin forzar la maquina . Excelente video
Awesome video, great operator, great dozer.
What a beast! Cool vid
This dozer is my favourite because of its weight. Power is ideal. Quality is another reason. It gets the job done . 🇨🇦 .

The gravel deposit is probably on top of a hard clay base.

Why not make the stockpile in the middle of the two sides. Fuel n undercarriages costa lotsa money. That way he would be pushing down hill.🤷🏻♂️

Fuckin love it,
You dont need to use reaper that kind of material you west your time..d11t is so powerful enough to push that materials.

Deveria ter uma estreira mais larga. Pelo o tamanho da maquina a esteira e estreita
