Just here to say that the best part of pro tours to me is the draft portion, I really love limited, i's literally the only format where magic remains pure, combat matters and basically: Magic as Richard Garfield intended.

That would make it a significantly better card, yes. Honestly, I don't think it would even be too good if they didn't increase the activated ability cost, since she's still significantly smaller than Topiary Stomper (albeit can attack/block earlier) and activating it would still get pretty rekt by opponents holding up Cut Down.
28:57 Ojer reads storm to me. Fill your deck with pump spells that cantrip, cheap burn spells, Rituals, him and grapeshot. Dig for grapeshot and burn spells asap. worst case you don't pump him you need a storm count of 5 if you didn't do any dmg before hand. If you did as the burn deck and find a pump spell you can easily win with a storm count of 2-3. Now will that be consistent in anyway? Probably not
It's so weird and interesting how green is either the best color by far or unplayable. There's no in-between it seems. Remember Esika's Charriot + Ranger Class? Then green was S tier. The second they lost Ranger Class though it fell apart and none of the green creatures mattered. It was also pretty strong when you could t1 elf and t2 Courser of Kruphix.
So the thing about Day of the moon is that you choose a card name, so it gets around hexproof, and it hits all tokens of a chosen name, and it regoads each turn. I think it'll be good, not super busted, but it'll be good
Though notably choosing a card name requires you to name an actual card so for the most part only token copies will be affected as you can't name "soldier token"
With Ojer, the land side isn't legendary. I wonder if there is some way to cycling between sides as the front side will make enough damage to flip the land side back?
I like the idea of Ojer with Mayhem Devil. Each ping becomes 4 damage, and it also plays nice with your decks sac outlets because it gives you another bonus for sac effects like Cauldron (turning it into a land).
My guess is that ghalta goes into show and tell decks. If you think about it hey are build to cheat something big into play and if they bring a second creature along thats even better. Reanimation could also work but it would depend largely on there being enough one shot options and/or consistent carddraw to make sure you get something worthwhile out of it.
The ManaLogs just basically put out a vid explaining why cards like Ghalta are printed: Mana Tempo. If I spend 8 mana to play my big haymaker and it gets immediately removed by a 2 mana spell, then I'm at a massive disadvantage and big boi creatures never see play. So MTG design has gone two routes: either give creatures a meaningful ETB/Cast trigger so that they still impact the board or give them protection. And since people got bent on Shroud>Hexproof, Ward is the new protection ability that help balance the resources spent between the creature and the spell spent to remove the creature. Ghalta isn't a WinMore, shes a natural progressing of game design and the arms race that is Control vs Stompy
River Song's Diary's problem is that it's best (I think) in a Narset turns deck. You could also play it in a land destruction deck. Or an infinite wrath deck. None of these sound fun.
Allowing mechanics to bleed over to successive sets is very important because as it is, a standard deck built around a mechanic which only appears in one set will almost always be less competitive than a colour pair good stuff deck pulling the best generic cards in those colours from all of standard. We need each mechanic to appear in at least 3 successive sets to give us enough cards to build around and then maybe mechanic themed decks will rival XY midrange deck and Mono X aggro.
I've been hurt too many times recently with mythic four-drops that seem good in burn. Solphem, Urabrask...hopefully this one is different. It is a cool design!

Skullspore is gunna be great. That card is gunna be awesome. Bargain being in Standard giving your creatures second life and then token value it’s gunna be good.
Ojer, Gutshot, Grapeshot = 16 dmg (can also combo with mutagenic growth) Can attack with other stuff, too. On the other hand, it still dies to a single Fury trigger, Unholy Heat, etc. But that's more Fury being a miserable card than anything.
Breeches seems like a really nice payoff for a pirate aggro deck. The first and third mode is Ragavan, and the second means they can't just chump block your pirates.
Draft is now my favourite format to watch and I think its one of the most interesting ways to play. I love using the draft token from the Arena mastery pass each set. I would also play it more on Arena if it was more accessible than using a fairly large number of coins or gems.
I will never get off my high horse in that the "good" episode "Blink" is a plagiarism of iirc "my summer homework" children's short story written for the 9th doctor in the doctor who activity book, up to and including the name of the episodes MC Sally sparrow. The only change they made was how Moffat, for no particular reason, wanted to make children cry, so they made it horror with the dogcrap weeping angels. Not to mention this was the only episode where the angels were any good and not the aforementioned dogcrap they became.
I love Dr. Who and i love the fact that they are doing suspend matters and all that, the card designs are so unique. But i hate universes beyond, i hate that The Flux is tied to a episode of Dr. Who so that if i play it in another deck it's going to look so out of place

And they keep pretending that 8 mana in green is a lot, when you can consistently get them by turn 5. Then you drop this and the game might end on the spot, such fun games.

Nah Historic is dead to me. If the cards can't be used IRL it's completely worthless and a waste of time. I wish people weren't pretending like it's a cool idea to mix Alchemy in. I also don't understand why they don't have two Historic formats. One with alchemy + rebalances and one without. Obviously the pure version would be a few thousand times more popular than the alchemy sullied one so maybe that's why they don't want it.
@as95ms98 Explorer is trying to become pure pioneer. Historic has a lot of modern and legacy power level cards. They're kind of similar I guess but there's no Thought Monitor in explorer or pioneer for example, the literal best affinity payoff.

Mana Tithe, Mind Stone, Necropotence, Griselbrand...these cards are in Historic, but not Explorer. Liquimetal Coating, Stone Rain, and more. I'd love to play a real-cards-only historic, AND actual-every-card-Pioneer...I'll keep dreaming. :D

I have zero care for historic period; also have zero care for arena/standard, pioneer, legacy, and modern. I play paper only; casual edh, pauper edh (commons and uncommons, and 60 card pauper (to have a competitive format and its also super cheap). People who take edh too seriously and pubstomp or play cedh into casual lgs pods need to either buy a precon or go play an actual competitive format, which every other mtg format is. 60 card is for sweaty, 100 card to have a game experience.

K9 is nuts in Rona, Herald of Invasion decks. Its a legend and it gives every creature in your deck ward 1. Seems good to me.
Day of the Moon was definitely designed as an anti-token goad against the Villain pre-con that seems token creature based.

Day of the Moon is that card that is good in specific play groups. The ones that play Rats, Nazgul, etc. After that, it just feels okay.

Ojer might be an against the odds card for modern using devil tokens and goblin bombardment.
With 0 pump each sac to the bombardment will deal 8
