Awesome, I bought a Yamaha LL16 a couple months ago, which I absolutely love and judging by the video would compare in many respects (solid wood, beautiful inlays, solid construction, maple and cream binding, gold tuners) and was similar price. There was a Takamine there to try but if I had known about this guitar it would been the competition when deciding. If I ever shop again for another acoustic, I plan to go with a cutaway and a preamp since mine has neither (I actually prefer the zero impact piezo in my LL16, but then I'd have two options).
    Good review.

I second that, the 93 appears to have a muddy cheap strumming sound

Hi there!! Just got a GD90 today, and having already tested both guitars, I can tell you the following. In terms of woods, quality, and manufacturing, the GD 90 is slightly better. The woods are just amazing on this guitar, whereas in GD93, they just look well, they are not special (im talking about the gorgeous 3-piece back). In terms of sound, I personally prefer GD90's sound, as It's crystal clear, way over the top for its money, and because of the woods it will be improved throughout the years. Gd93 also has a noticeably clear sound, but for me in these terms the two guitars are just incomparable. Only the playability that gd93 has might be slightly better, but not a big difference there!! Happy new year!

I just bought the GN 90 ce. Love the tone.
What you are playing is the GD 90 ce.
    What is the difference?

Do you know what caused the extinction of brazilian rosewood? how it was used ? i mean past's guitar manufacturing only done it? was it used in other departments too in bigger quantities? Im very sad that i can't have a guitar with brazilian rosewood back and sides in my generation (years) but i have to spend really a LOT of money to find and buy one while previous generations were enjoying this beautiful tonewood.

Fender used it in large quantities for some of its electric guitars, maybe thats why it got extinct.

I have a question about the Takamine guitar model. Is the GD90 CE ZC model newer or older than the GD93 CE model?

They are made in China but China has been building top quality instruments since the 1920s.
