Hi Kyle, Hi Casey, such a beautiful day at sea. The Crowns Edge is not for me so I would put that money towards food or merch. I agree Kyle, that domed area is my favorite spot - sun and A/C, can't beat that in my book 😀👍
I would not even pay a dollar for the zip line. I’m kind of offended that they are charging for it especially with how much the cruise is. I’m protesting 😂
We have done all the specialty dining venues on the new RC ships(and we are vegetarian) and honestly, unless you want peace and quite or an experience (like Wonderland, Izumi, Mason Jar which has great live bands on certain nights, etc.) I don’t think the specialty dining is worth it. It was better ten years ago, just in my opinion. RC has so many good dining options (that are included) which people do not know about or discover on their last day! 😊
We did lunch at Jamie’s Italian, with the sale going on it was $18.99 for unlimited fresh pasta, appetizers and desserts. All really good. It was worth it! But I wouldn’t pay more than $30 for an upgraded dinner.
A fresh take on UA-cam cruise videos. Much appreciated. It’s the cruise lines’ job to get your money on-board. It’s your job to try and hold on to it! They need to pay for their billion-dollar ships. But you’ll also need to pay your regular bills after the cruise. Hints like yours help find the right balance. Thanks. (How did you know- if you can share- that the minute-long sky ride originally was intended to be free?)

I always shocked more people dont know the loop hole for the drink package. You can call royal and tell them that only one person wants the package. You can say the other person does not drink then one can buy the deluxe and one can get the refreshment package. I have done this depending on who i am sailing with. Also there are cases like my mother who dont drink anything but water so my dad can buy the deluxe package and my mom doesnt have to get any package at all. You can definitely save money doing this
All of this just adds up to one thing: Virgin Voyages style is the way to go. All included, and the drink 'package' is just a per drink credit you establish. Easier to go that way, if you want.
Yes, I don’t like all that extra charging for food and activity. I believe inclusiveness is a smarter way for cruising. Our next cruise will be on Virgin Voyages and super excited.
We're going on Icon next month yay!!! Thank you for all the info. Binge watching these. We got the drink package for little under $800 for two of us (one deluxe and one refreshment) on our 7 night cruise. We drink a lot of coffees, energy drinks, smoothies and alcohol 🎉😅
Icon just looks cluttered in contrast to the Oasis class ships. But whenever I can I try to book a Junior Suite if it's affordable for the double crown and anchor points.

To upgrade your wardrobe you just need to get couple of outfits to wear out including all male accessories. The shoes were nice Kyle get a belt to match.

Hi KP and fam! Just found this channel cause I am planning a 2025 anniversary cruise with the hubby. Just making my way through all your playlists and you ask here about if an unlimited drink package is worth it. I’ll have 2-3 champagnes with breakfast, all my coffees. 3-4 drinks during the day and then 4-5 between dinner and sleeping. Drink packages are ALWAYS worth it for vacation ❤
Norwegian joy hibachi is worth the price they have a lot left over that you can ask for also it’s very entertaining they do songs like we will rock you, they do ice ice baby with the rice and make it a heart and very nice! I recommend and also Norwegian joy has a really good theater songs they have footloose and elements and footloose what my fav and something you do if you ever go🥇
Just so u know both people in your room do not have to get the deluxe beverage package, you can call Royal and the 2nd person in the room can switch to the refreshment package instead of the deluxe beverage package. On my icon cruise in sept the refreshment package is $29.99 instead of the deluxe beverage package at $77.99 a day.
Did you both have to buy the Deluxe package and then call afterwards and get one switched? And if so, do you get your money refunded or in cruise credit?
Personally many of you know how things are especially in the cruise field I’m not surprised. It’s either expect to pay for extra things or don’t go. There are certain vacations that you just have to be prepared to spend extra on. It might not seem right but it’s a business. Selling tickets and giving everything out for free wouldn’t cut it. I have a booking for three on star of the seas so I’m already expecting to dish out extra money. You just have to have that mindset when you are on vacation you might spend more. Great video by the way!

The water is a this deal but sometimes I take a couple of empty water bottles. I keep refilling them and put them in the cooler. Then I always have a cold one available.
We carry on couple 12 packs ( Can ) of Coke on Carnival cruise / also on Royal Caribbean September 2023 on Adventure of the Seas - with no said nothing about it on Royal Caribbean ship

Compared to Princess I've noticed that Royal is actually much more expensive for their upcharge restaurants. The ship looks beautiful and extremely large. Not my cup of tea but I'm certain younger families with children would love it.

Chops and 150 Central Park are Royal Caribbeans best specialty restaurants. If you can get a reservation there, it’s worth the money. Also when Kyle said “Hey Siri, play runway music” my Siri heard and started playing music! 😂😂
I have been cruising for 35 years and have always been happy with the meals in the main dining room. The specialty restaurants are too expensive. At home, you can get a very good Hibachi meal for $35 or $40 each. Make sure you have breakfast in the main dining room the day that they have the chocolate breakfast. So good!
Does the ship feel less crowded than other big ships? The last two cruises I took on big ships felt very crowded (Liberty of the Seas and Norwegian Escape). I also had difficulty getting seats at the shows on these cruises.
They will suffer at the end - hate grabbing cruise ship charging for everything- give me the order ships less people and more relaxing- bigger isn’t always better- already there are paying customers than all the hired help and entertainment people, that makes a crowded ship - no thanks
