Great gun, I used to have the full-size and wish I still had it. The chambering issue you mentioned is actually not an issue with the gun. A lot of guns will not fully go into battery if you ride the slide, which is why most classes tell you to not do that. All handguns slides are meant to be racked hard to the back then released or the slide stop/release to be used. You should only ride the slide forward on an empty chamber to reduce wear and tear, but treat it like it owns you money when loading rounds. Great video.
That stoppage will happen with every gun if you ride the slide forward slow enough. Guns are designed to work under the strength of the recoil spring. Don’t ride the slide. Just let it go. Just ordered mine recently. I owned a stock PX4 compact and loved it.
Picked one up from Palmetto State a few years ago. Love it. They had the PX4 Compact Carry’s on sale for $680 so I snagged one. It is “Langdon’ized” but not the full blown version you buy direct from LTT. It has the Sniper Gray coating, LTT decocker (no safety), trigger job, Talon grips, etc.
Yeah that out of battery thing has always been quite frequent with new px4s, both 9 and .40 versions. It should disappear over time, but some skilled polishing is the best solution. You might want to monitor which ammo kinds she does and doesn’t like, full power loads and cases with a good crimping should be trouble free from day 0 on px4s
Just ordered mine. Counting down the days until it ships. What options did you include with yours? I got basically everything and cut to run an RMR. Out of curiosity, did it not come with talon grips? I saw that on their site for the company carry. Great video!
I did everything except the optic cut. Probably should have done that too. May do another one way down the road. It. Is. Freakishly. Good. GREAT actually. It did come w Talon grips - I just chose not to install them. I like it as is. Thank YOU so much for watching!!! And GO VOLS!!! (I lived in Knoxville for 12 years )
@@TheArkansasGunGuyVery cool! Go Vols! I just received mine and love it so far. Question: Does your trigger have a quarter or half-cocked spot where there is an audible click and the trigger stays like a 1/4 position? Wondering if all LTT triggers for the PX4 Storm CC are like this.
nice video! I just picked up a used standard version of the px4 compact, had been keeping my eye out for one. Needs a good cleaning so I figured I’d put a lighter hammer spring in and a spurless hammer like yours. Super comfy in my hand, looking forward to burning through some ammo with it.
Hi, I Have a regular PX4 compact . No issues at All. You may want to try a Vedder LightTuck™ Kydex IWB . this is my EDC. im looking foward to upgrade to the LTT trigger in a bag.
My JM custom kydex holsters are great for my px4, the recoil spring doesn’t have to be as strong with the da/sa (hammer spring helps slow the slide down) so if you follow the slide home it will tend to hang up
Awesome feedback - thank you for the feedback AND for watching!! Oh - and thanks for the holster reco. Have heard good things about them - will check them out!
@@TheArkansasGunGuy yes, I’m new(ish) but it’s now owned by Reliance Firearms. I was recently there for a tactical class. We should meet up. I have nothing to teach but so much (everything) to learn 😂
it's a lanyard loop. several european guns used to have, and many still do have a loop that you can put a lanyard on to keep gun on the officers so they can't be easily stolen. THANKS SO MUCH FOR WATCHING!
Yeah i had to search pretty hard for my px4 compact 9. Still waiting on my background check to go through before i can pick it up. You can still find them though especially if you're ok with having a 40 s&w version.
The issue with the back strap pin that you call a lanyard which it’s not and your slide failing to go back into battery is your lack of knowledge with the firearm and how it actually works. Amateur.
You are correct sir. Once I stopped riding the slide it has been flawless!! Great pistol!! The compact carry model actually does come with a lanyard loop - sits right in front of the back strap pin. Thank you for watching!!!! This is the part: www.midwestgunworks.com/page/mgwi/prod/C5E026

Thanks for the review Brother!! I want to get me a PX4.
Thank YOU for watching!!!! I would definitely recommend one!!! They are king of hard to find - at least here in AR!!
Great review! I don't have the Langdon Tac version, but I have a full size PX4 in 40 SW and I love it!!
I have an appendix carry ITWB holster from Keepers Concealment. It is serving me very well.
Checking them out!!! Thank you for the suggestion - AND for watching!!!! How is your slide holding up? Much/any wear on the slide?
A small amount from my holster but very acceptable imho. It is mainly on the edges.@@TheArkansasGunGuy

Might look at the kanyard loop again. Haven't hadva PX4 in a while but i think that is the U spring clip holding the backstrap on
its a beretta. you gotta let go. you dont hold the slide or push it foward. unless its empty.

I added the Ltt trigger bar you think the reset is short add that you’ll see what short really is

I bought a PX4 full size today, along with the Beretta APX A1 full size. Just found out, the PX4 compact are no longer made by Beretta.

I believe the compact carry is still in production but the subcompact has been discontinued.
Beretta still makes the PX4 Compact - it is still in production. Your statement is not correct.
