@23:13 wait what!?! I've been researching moving abroad slowly for years and ive never heard you can work remotely on the French Long Stay Visa.
That's amazing. Any documents or links anyone has to support this? Or people/blogs even?

Hello, I appreciate all the wonderful information. Had a question about getting an address for a long stay Visa. I was told many times you can use a long-term Airbnb as an address but in this video he was saying you cannot? I would think it would be difficult to rent a proper apartment without a Visa through a French landlord. I would be coming from the United States. Also, curious are there any kind of post boxes with proper addresses in France? I use that as my address in the States. Thank you.

Interestingly, people who provide relocation services claim a proper 12-month rental contract is mandatory. In Facebook expat groups, some people successfully got visas with 3 months of AirBnB contacts.
I hope it is not the case of conflict of interest here.

I spoke with VFS Global who is actually a 3rd party that handles all of the French Visa’s and they informed me that an Airbnb, hotel or attestation from a friend you are staying with as acceptable proof of residence and it needs to be a minimum of three months.

Lots of useful info, thanks! Could you clarify what Richard stated @1:14.37, regarding the visa required if you rent out your property in France? This is the first option if you're not doing a B&B. He mumbled the first bit, followed by 'passive income of a secondary home'. The transcript didn't pick it up either.

Thanks for your comment, Richard mentioned Loueur en Meublé Non Professionnel, which isn't a visa but how you register if your gîte is not your primary income source for example. Please be aware that some changes are being made which you'll need to consider if you're running a gite business, you can find more information on our website: www.frenchentree.com/french-property/gite-business/loi-des-finances-2024-why-it-could-stop-your-dream-of-running-a-french-gite/

Hello, I would like to ask you a question. I have a spouse visa and I am going to France soon from Venezuela. Neither when I applied for the visa nor when I was granted it I was asked if I had medical insurance. Is it mandatory to have medical insurance to be able to enter without problems? I understand that I have to wait three months to apply for the Carte Vitale, but in the meantime, can I go to France without insurance? I am not a European citizen. Thank you very much.

If you have been issued a visa, then the health insurance requirements should have been covered at the visa application stage. However, it is still highly recommended to take out cover for the period between arrival and receiving your Carte Vitale. Best regards, FrenchEntrée
