That Nickmercs segment man. I know someone who's super sweet but she shares those views and we have gotten into it before over it. She refuses to acknowledge people's identity unless they "look" like the gender they identify with. It breaks my heart to see someone who's normally nice be so umempathetic about a group of people.

There is are speakers you can connect you headphones to so both people get audio. If the twitter dude really cared that much he should he gotten one instead of inconveniencing others.
I really don’t like NickMercs, and honestly his argument is trash, but despite how poorly he articulated it his argument is valid. The general argument is that when someone says they’re trans, they’re making a truth claim that is dependent upon things wholly outside of their control and those things are not consistent with their assertion. That’s it.

From my experience when I went to tournaments in Europe, many, if not most, gaming monitors don't have speakers at all, so how can someone that "needs game audio" expect to get game audio without bringing headphones? Is it that different in NA? Is it not commonplace to bring your headphones + splitter? For me it just sounds like the other guy wanted to nerf his opponent that cares about game audio, while not actually caring about game audio himself.
Also tournaments can be noisy as shit so I feel like having the audio through speakers wouldn't even accomplish much. Especially if everyone thinks like that and so you have every single monitor in the venue blasting sound effects and music making it impossible to actually use the sound to your advantage.
