- We finally get the Van wrapped and its epic!! Todays video i repalce a leaking evaporator coil, that should have gone smoothly but NOPE OIL IN THE LINE, the TXV wasnt with the coil and then i forgot to take the plug out 🤦♂️ wasnt my best day but we got the customer back up and running and another happy satified custoner!!

Get it busy bee. I went to LG installation class and now I don't use any fittings and hand bend all the line sets try to have only 4 braze joints

Wrap looks great, what’s the range on getting a taller van done around you? I’ve seen a few places in North Carolina that do full wraps, 3/4 and 1/2 wraps

Yeah Goodman nor ICP gives you the damn TXV on any coil. ICP don’t give you the damn drain pan either, at least Goodman, which I am not a fan of at least gives you the Drain Pan.

Same shit happened to me. I had to go back to get the txv. I figured the supply house would say something.
Right?! Generally when I order them from distributors I ask for evap with txv 🤷♂️ bastards lol

@@mattbilodeau2433fieldpiece : pros- small, flexible hose, loud, tip illuminates, rechargeable.
Cons- not as sensitive, I hate the blue backlight from all FP devices why they haven’t switched to a white backlight 🤷♂️ but I haven’t had much an issue
H-10 pros : the manual adjustment, fine tune the sensitivity, rechargeable, red blinking light,
Cons- the tethers wand (they make extension) sometimes takes awhile to fine tune it, the battery sucks (prob need new one)it’s big and gets in the way.
I do prefer the accuracy of the h 10 but prefer the ease ability of the fieldpiece

Is it a good idea to pressure test the coil before installing it? Just to be sure?
They generally come sealed and under pressure, so once ready to install you’ll have to release the pressure and then you’ll know if your in trouble or not

Could have but didn’t 🤷♂️ order the coil with txv installed. Never had an issue with my goodman there before after 4 years figured why would it start now
I hate HOA’s they are so stupid. They’re in the same boat as unions. Yes, that’s a generalization I know not all unions suck
