    Really nice! Big money already invested in another brand however this system will go in my currently unbuilt 700 heli. Good video!

    This. Is. AWESOME! I've really been loving the Spirit GT units (flying FrSky with Ethos integration), and this just takes it a step further. I'm looking forward to seeing the regular receiver options too, I'm hoping this can become my "one" radio.

    looks fantastic. I know Tamas is marketing this to be a system for all model types, not just helis. Lots of people do fly planes as well as helis. this being the case it would be good to see how you do a plane setup, especially something complex like a 4 servo wing glider with adjustable camber flights modes etc.

      Yup this radio can be used with Helicopters, planes, quads, and cars!

    Locking really nice - some things for next video: 1) Setting up a plank - yes some of us fly them and for this money one radio will have to do all. 2) Startup time seems a bit longer than promised - maybe show that it is just the interface…??? 3) Trims - again for us the fly planks, what does that look like on the radio. Auto trim is fine but with a limited amount of switch’s that becomes an issue too

    wow I need one! I hope it gets sold as a combo with an FBL unit that works as a receiver too

    • @JustPlaneChris

      The Spirit W1 unit will have a built in Wave receiver. They say there will be stand-alone receivers (without gyros) for use in fixed wing as well.

      I'd consider the switch but i also fly planes, both power and gliders. I'm not so far seeing support for those. Guess that will be shown later.

  • @r7_guy941

    The Gimbals and Case look like they are from Radiomaster, is this correct ?

    • @REVOS5
      @REVOS5 10 місяців тому

      The gimbals are hobby porter gimbals, commonly known as radiomaster AG01 gimbals. They are certainly one of the best on the market right now. I have seen a lot of people retro fitting them into various radios recently. There is no other components shared with radiomaster, internally or externally.

    can you confirm that I can use this radio to fly FHSS protocol as well?

    • @JustPlaneChris
      @JustPlaneChris 10 місяців тому

      You will not be able to use FHSS protocol. The Wave will have its own protocol, and they say there will be a line of regular receivers available as well so it can be used in fixed wing models.

    • @REVOS5
      @REVOS5 10 місяців тому

      What the gentleman above said, this radio is not multi protocol however you can use the radio with any FBL with a Spirit rx! As well as any Rx with the Spirit W1 FBL. 😮

    • @jetplaneflyer
      @jetplaneflyer 10 місяців тому

      @@JustPlaneChris the range of receivers and if they have to be 'fancy' programmable receivers with inbuilt gyros has yet to be revealed. The video didnt show any capability to set the Tx up like a traditional Tx (rates, curves, expo, flight modes etc etc stored in the actual Tx). I suspect (based on the fact that the Tx has no trims) that the airplane receivers will have to have gyros inbuilt and will be intelligent, running Spirit Aero. This might make them relatively expensive but only time will tell.

    • @REVOS5

  • @Ultimatevr123

    Of course the gimbals feel fantastic . They’re ag01 gimbals. Not a better gimbal on the market for 130$ a set. Every mfg should be putting these in they’re radios. Especially companies like vbar where your spending over 1k on a radio and still getting ANALOGUE GIMBALS!!😂😂

    • @REVOS5
      @REVOS5 10 місяців тому

      Yup great gimbals are one of the most important things in a radio and I love these ones!

    • @REVOS5
      @REVOS5 10 місяців тому

      We don't have official USD pricing yet, but the spirit website shows MSRP for the standard version is 999 euros, and the PRO is 1399 euros.

    I'm curious but won't buy anything if there isn't decent parts availability. I like Mikado but if they're similar or worse with parts then it will be a hard no for me.

    • @REVOS5
