I've had 2 K-2's for over 20 years. One I used regularly, the other I robbed parts from. I have all the parts for the other one now, just have to assemble it. You did a beautiful job on that, God love you , I know the parts prices are insane!
Hey, thanks for watching Thomas! You are correct, they definitely are not cheap to piece together. If you haven’t seen my last video on this build, I summarized the total cost to build it (a LOT more than I was expecting!). Best of luck with your 2nd build.
new subscriber here!! im currently building up a 1970 z50 that i had as a child, 20 years ago,i recently bought it back off my cuzzen and in the process of rebuilding the top end..i found out that c50 are basicly the same motor, mine needs new kick start shaft and the return spring that we r gonna take from the spare motor we got with it ,the bottom end is mint on mine.! thanks for the good content!
Thanks man, I appreciate hearing that. Awesome to have the exact same bike back that you had as a kid. Wish I still had my first bike (from 26 years ago)… it was a Rockport Chibi (60cc 2-stroke)… not as cool as these Hondas, but very hard to come by these days.
Great timing, just staring my restoration. Did both kickstarter shafts come from the same supplier/Company? Agree with some others regarding the music🥴🥴🥴. Less is more, but it’s your video so your choice.
Thanks for watching. I’ve definitely cut back on this type of music. Yes, both shafts were from PhatMX (they replace at no charge), and both were TB Parts brand. Seems that TB Parts packaged and labelled the first one wrong.
Thanks! A few other guys pointed that out back when I posted a photo of it on Instagram while I was building the bike. Made that correction right away before finishing off the build (thanks to those guys). But thanks again… nice to have experienced people like you who are willing to help others out 🙏
Yes, the camera was going during the entire tear down and reassembly. Actually had to stop the reassembly, watching the tear down videos, then reassemble (twice) as I kept missing parts. I don’t always have the time (or motivation) to push through builds in a short period, so videoing everything really helps to refer back on.
Hey, thanks for watching and providing this feedback. I’m not much of a talker at all, but working on that. I’ll use this for future videos. I was actually thinking of creating some videos on techniques for restoring suck parts.
Hey, thank you for watching and dropping that comment. I actually made that stand myself. Check out the video where I made it here: ua-cam.com/video/9Fs3S0uuvfE/v-deo.htmlsi=dKqUvLyV3gS7mNVn
Thank you for validating that! The place I bought it from suggested that’s what it may have been, although it was certainly packed and sold as being correct for my bike. Fortunately they shipped out the correct one at no charge. I’m still hanging onto this one, as it may come in handy one day for my daughter’s XR50. Thanks for watching and providing this input!
Haha, looking back at this I agree 🤦♂️… unfortunately you are limited with what audio you can use without copyright infringement. I’ve made several videos that get taken down for that reason. This audio is from the free UA-cam library (selection there isn’t great)
@@hamptonmanufacturing3566 yes, absolutely… used just part of a remixed song once and got a strike from UA-cam and video can’t be made public… was just a short audio clip added to a video of the kids riding around on their bikes. I’ve since switched to a mobile video app and use the audio on there… only been bothered once from UA-cam with that audio 🙄
Thank you for watching and dropping the comment… certainly a lot of others who feel the same about the music. I got a few copyright strikes for the music I was using, so I opted to use the free (non-copyright) music available from UA-cam’s library… unfortunately a lot of it sounds like this 👎… I’m learning to do without music now, or look for something more subtle and without lyrics. Thanks again for watching!
Nice work. Looks like new

Copper washer on head stud is in the wrong position...just saying. very good video.

Do you have the whole rebuild in video? Helps me in my reassembly?

If you ever have questions on the reassembly I can always upload a video and send to you for reference.

@@JMKGarage can you send the full video?
Better if you explained the process more less music.

@@JMKGarage you have good voice. Don't mean to offend. Keep up the good work
@msenterprisellc2640 thanks, really appreciate that!
Great job! I really like that engine stand. Where did you get it?

The first kick shaft is for later honda 12v engines (z50, crf50, crf70)

Can you send me the full video…..don’t care how long it is….more info the better
The music is just atrocious

@@JMKGarage 😂 yeah I totally get it. The copyright stuff on UA-cam is way over the top.
