      Nice! Pretty cool bike for a 7 year old. My first bike was a Keystone Chibi at 9 years old.

      @@JMKGarage I was proud as can be. Other kids had Rupp or Artic cat. 😁. Love old Mini Bikes. Great time to be a Kidback then😀

    Your little boy isn't going to let it go! Building my 71 mini 50. Great job!

      He’s in love with this bike. I actually have it sitting in our bedroom on display (surprisingly the wife hasn’t told me to toss it out) and our boy always comes in and admires it. I’m working on a 1988 Yamaha Pw50 right now to go to him for his 3rd birthday next January… he’s excited for that.

    Great videos! Horrible music lol. Thanks for putting these together.

      Thanks. Haha, second comment someone has made on these videos about the music. Unfortunately you are limited to UA-cam’s free downloads for music to use, otherwise you risk getting your video restricted due to copyright infringement. I’ve had a few videos that they kept deleting, so since then have stuck with their copyright-free downloads… the selection isn’t the greatest 👎

      @@JMKGarage Your build on the k1 was really great. I’m currently in the middle of one on the same bike. Unless you’ve done one you can’t appreciate properly the time and effort that is involved. And you with young kids as well! Bravo, sir.

      @@ryanparr8669 thanks Ryan. This rebuild was certainly MUCH more work than I ever anticipated for such a small bike (also cost a lot more too than excepted). Thanks for watching!

    She’s a beauty. You did a nice job! My son and I are doing the exact same bike right now. A person wouldn’t think of how many hours you have restoring one of these z50a, but it’s a lot. Nice video

    Where did the bike stand come from?

    • @JMKGarage
      @JMKGarage  2 роки тому +1

      If you are referring to the red stand that I started with the engine on, I built it. Here’s a video of how I built it… ua-cam.com/video/9Fs3S0uuvfE/v-deo.html

    Wow epic rebuild bro! That 50 looks amazing!
    Getting a Honda 50 for Christmas was the best Christmas ever when I was a kid! I have great memories from those Honda 50 riding days and was thinking about finding an old one to restore so I’d have a Honda 50 ready for my kid when he’s big enough to ride one. He’s almost 3 so I gotta get on it! Lol Thanks for showing your 50 build. It’s inspiring! 🤙🍻

      Thank you very much man! I would have loved to have gotten a bike for Christmas as a kid. Got my first bike (Rockford Cibi) for my 9th birthday, and wish I still had it. Yeah, you better get on it… my oldest 3 have each been riding since their 3rd birthdays now.

      Thank you!
      Here is the website: phatmx.com
      Note that Phat MX is a Canadian company, local to me. If you’re in the US there may be better options, but for me this saved on shipping and customs expenses, and supported a local guy (Keith). Interesting story, Keith used to also be into classic VW’s and car audio… a friend now owns his old ‘67 beetle that has been featured in magazines.

    Bag the music.

    • @JMKGarage
      @JMKGarage  Рік тому +1

      Yes, I’ve stopped using this in my videos since then. I’ve had several other people comment on the horrendous music as well and gave them a similar reply… unfortunately UA-cam’s copyright rules are very strict, so if you use any music other than what they have available from their downloads the video ends up getting flagged and either removed, or restricted to only certain countries. I got tired of that, so started using sounds from their downloads list (there’s a reason why these aren’t copyrighted, because they aren’t popular and most people don’t like them). Due to all these comments, I’ve stopped using them and either use no music, or music from my video editing app (it usually doesn’t get flagged my UA-cam, but it has on occasion too 👎).
      Thanks for watching though, I appreciate it!
