Same here in Nova Scotia they think they spotted a cougar , we have run hounds every winter for rabbits going on 50 years or more , never ever saw any tracks that would suggest cougars ate here , hounds have run bobcats many times.
It's only a matter of time. Phone cameras are getting better and better, more and more people using security cameras as well. One day someone will be able to get the proof needed to put a portion of this study to rest.
True Charlie , it’s only a matter of time .i have spoken to family members who have seen the cougar years ago . They have been here all along . Have been in the outdoors my whole life and have only seen a couple of lynx . These big cats are just as elusive, and our woods very dense , making very hard to get close , unless they want you too . Have you come across any sign on your guide trips ?
I seen a big black cat north of Rocky Harbour around the green point, bakers Brook area 3-4 years back! There were 3 other cars, ahead of me that pulled over to get pictures! I spoke to one fella, from Main, at the Irving in Rocky harbour shortly after! He got one pic of the ass end of it as it was going into the bush! I also reported it to wild life and they told me they’re have had few sightings around the same area!
With all the trail cams covering virually all of the island now, someone will connect with one. Keep up the good work.

they have found proof in NB and NS with confirmed hair snag samples from 20 different rubbing posts.
We may have seen one at our cabin on the bay de spearre highway
Awesome video and great information.. yes just a matter of time
I'm hoping the cameras catch something soon!
That video from the house is a lynx, I’ve trapped plenty of them and had lots on trail cams over the years. You can tell the way it walks it’s a lynx.
Way to go Charlie. Can't wait for that perfect time. That perfect proof.

@NLGhostWolf it will be very interesting to see .
I've see 2 cougars in nova scotia while driving truck
outstanding, at the same time or two different sightings?
Right on Charlie
thanks
My pin didn’t show up in bay D’espoir lol
Hopefully you get some footage
somebody will, I truly don't care who gets it, just as long as someone gets it.

If anyone can find it you can for sure !!
thanks Juanita... I don't care who find them just as long as someone does...
Cougars and bears grab their kills by the back of the neck and walk backward with them for miles
yes I know, and they are very strong animals. I've watched as much videos and documentaries as possible on them. Incredible animals...
@@NLGhostWolf Good Video as always -- Take care
Wolf
Claws proof not a cat
100% absolutely false, do your research. They deploy their claws when needed for traction, holding and climbing...
Tracks are also very convincing love it!

Sooner or later, the 100% proof will come...
Keep at it Charlie. There will be a better sighting some day for sure.
Yes there's enough cameras around someone's got to capture one sooner or later!
Everyone must have the Bigfoot cameras lol. Can someone put out a bait site and setup trail cams.
