In your position of being without a home do you panhandle? If I passed someone with a Terrence McKenna quote on a sign I couldn’t help but feel the synchronicity and want to help. Idk good luck
26:43 We never in the whole discussion about legalizing cannabis have come to grips with what I think is the real issue, which is: it does change people, and the way in which it changes them makes it hostile towards the values of industrial capitalism.
Danit thankyou so much for this. These lectures often bring me to tears at the value of knowledge and wisdom that Terence brought into this world. Such treasures these are. From my heart thankyou 💚🙏
Thank you always @artemisXsidecross Happy to have something you have not heard. Got this without dates, but I asked for help in finding the exact date of each talk
Hey Danit, as a student of Psychology currently enrolled, Without a doubt, Terence McKenna And Jordan Peterson has influenced me the most in terms of My fascination with psychology. I want to get a masters and combine psychedelia as well as Psychotherapy!!!! Timothy Leary really opened my mind as well when it came to combining the 2. Anyways, do you have the live version video? If so could you please send me a link? If so thank you❤️🌹❤️
Hey @Gen_Jutsu_Itachi Thank you for sharing. Most of the content exists as audio files. Also most of this talks are from radio shows. try searching for his website as @cxv8414 said, also see the links I provided on my channel. Wish the best for you and on your masters
Many thanks for these posts. I started listening avidly to Terence and Alan Watts over 10 years ago and finding new talks is quite surprising considering how many channels share them (and the sheer amount of content I've listened to). I love playing these when going to bed. It's so soothing. The black screen is perfect for such purposes. Blessings.
Listened from start to finish at the gym. McKenna explains the complexity of history biology through time and space. Like fractals that seemingly repeat themselves but evolve over time. There are a lot of statements that add onto the observations of Krishnamurti and Watts. I am curious why he thinks meditation is not enough in comparison to psychedelics. I think they can serve the same purpose since psychedelics are not safe for everyone. But then again, meditation is not safe for those who have severe underlying mental issues. Im just thinking out loud. Thank you for sharing, this was eye opening, especially that section on cannabis.
Thank you for sharing this @ericlee6222 I as well think that through meditation or in another natural occurring, you can get nirvana or awaken and such. But it's only an opinion. Happy you liked this one You're awesome
Meditation is akin to using puddles to observe the microscopic world, while we have microscopes available and accessible. Although meditation can bring you this state of shamanic ecstasy, psychedelics deliver time and time again.
What a joy to listen to someone that 'gets' the nature of creation, evolution and the concrescence of the human experience. Mind blown, thank you for posting.
Earth Day 2024 “…Telling the tale of the cranes as they wing their way north over our upturned faces, enacting in rituals the wondrous return of each species from the brink of extinction-while marking in story, and ceremony, the demise of those species we let slip from the real, so that we’ll remember, collectively, the awesome cost of our hubris. These are ancient and elemental ways to awaken our own animal senses, binding the imagination of our bodies back into the wider life of the animate earth. ☮ …culture is thus not at all a matter of “turning back the clock,” but rather of stepping, now and then, out of clock time entirely. It is not a matter of “going back” to an earlier way of life, but of aligning ourselves with the full depth of the present, expanding awareness beyond the gleaming veneer of our mass-produced artifacts, dropping our attention beneath the recently sedimented strata of commercial civilization (beneath the inert, plastic layers of tossed-out toys and discarded water bottles) to make conscious contact with the darker humus in which our humanity is still rooted. The soil at that depth is made of dances, and songs, and the hushed cadence of spoken stories. By remembering ourselves at that depth, by tapping the nutrients in that timeless soil, we draw fresh water on up into the stems and leaves of the open present. We re-create civilization by tapping the primordial wellsprings of culture, replenishing the practice of wonder that lies at the indigenous heart of all culture.” David Abram: Becoming Animal (p. 292)
This was such a good one. Hands down my favorite compilation so far. The clip of Terence reading The Hashish Eater sounded like something that could've been written by Edgar Allen Poe and was beautifully narrated by Terence. 5/5 stars on this one.
I’ve never heard that hashish story until now. What a great story, it’s closest I’ve heard someone accurately describe what a high dose edible trip is like
I never tried DMT, I hardly ever tried anything at all but I my gut feeling is that death or the realms beyond death might be something along these lines...
quick-fire wisdom quotes by Terence, I loved that last one :) Also the book reading was fascinating, I think I've read it before and Terence does it justice!
Thank you. I've been long at work figuring out a set of values and habits that resonate with the energies (teachings?) I received during the Eschaton. For the first time since 2012 I feel like it's catching on and I am able to connect to people about those same things I've been trying to say for the last eleven years. My art is also improving :)
Danit -words of gratitude barely cut it here but your work (to my view) - is utmost, timeless, and of deepest import - priceless human treasure far beyond measure. ❤ Thank you.
I wish the world had places where Terence appreciators could meet up. I’m currently homeless and I never meet other homeless who even know who he is
Hope you will find your place to call home @user-dr8ko8ui5y
Blessings

Thank you for the black screen (: listen to Terrance helps me fall asleep.
Every night, only man I sleep with now. ❤
The hashish eater is so funny in the the basic paranoid experience of weed has never really changed over the years
We need a 19th century-style write up of that 911 call where the cop and his wife are convinced they're dead from eating brownies :D
Thank you!!!! 💖💖💖👏👏👏
Bravo Danit, always grateful. ❤
Thanks for your work uploading these talks, we appreciate 🙏
Thank you @Cp_9900
I appreciate you!
I'm new to his talks and I love how he sounds like a gleeful supervillain revealing his plan
Thanks for this, hope all is well in your life.
I appreciate your kind heart @bensilverstein5883
Hope the same for you
Terence had such a wonderful linguistic mastery. His words are connected directly to the resonance of his understanding.

Alot of terence mckennas talks are available for download on his website
How you could mix Terence McKenna and Jordan Peterson as joint influencers is beyond me.
@artemisXsidecross i like them both also.

What links or agreements do you understand between McKenna and Peterson?
❤ It would be nice to listen to you express your thoughts on McKenna's teachings sometime.
What's terrifying about terrence is the depths of his experiences. What has that mind witnessed?!
Thanks danit, love these videos
Try it.

The hashish eater is one of my absolute favorite readings of his. It’s hilarious.
Awesome. Cheers fellow psychonauts. 🍄🍄

does the website still exist at 33:44
Yes that's what I'd like to know too
Twenty years after this conversation....( The kpfk interview) Viola
Thank you ❤ thank you all for making this experience so amazing
Thank you
I’ve never heard that hashish story until now. What a great story, it’s closest I’ve heard someone accurately describe what a high dose edible trip is like
Did he say “lanterns”? If so, I’ve experienced them as well and they are highly intelligent.
Does anyone know if his website is still operating I tried searching for it and could not find, perhaps I heard it wrong.
Please help me out here
I never tried DMT, I hardly ever tried anything at all but I my gut feeling is that death or the realms beyond death might be something along these lines...
Please remove the horrible sounds from the hashish eater section
I'm having a hard time finding the clip at the beginning of this talk anywhere. Can someone help me pinpoint it?
As a Shaman. Terrence is my religion. Thank you so much! 🙌💜✨️🛸☀️🐊🍄🌴🐬🌓🌬🌌🪐🛸🏞🦁
