I look how you described that the Boost was firmer but still did its job for impact protection. This helped me choose which shoe I wanted better. I saw other reviews that simply said you can't feel shit. Thanks Nightwing! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I got em. I balled in em. The traction is awesome. Cushion is adequate. It feels premium... plush. It's a good shoe. I was hoping it would be legendary. It wasn't. Heel slip. Bulky. Lacing needs a lot of adjustments and that old adidas dead space over your toes. That said... for the money its good.
I actually did hoop in these and everything you mentioned from the traction to support I totally agree these were my go to low cut shoes, until I started playing in the AJ XXXI Low but I always keep these in the gym bag for sure ! I appreciate the reviews very helpful bro keep it up.

I was really tempted to get a pair of KD 9s, but after seeing this I'm gonna go the CL Boost 2016 route. If Nightwing thinks these are the best low tops for ball, you know they're the real deal.
Reason why some colours don't have Continental Tires material is because the tire materials just can't produce in those colours. (Ex. Tires are not Translucent, where black will have Conti on it.)
I’ve played an AAU season with these and I went half a size down and the heel slips a little bit and take some break in time but the traction is pretty good but the cushioning feels really good and tight at first but fits to your foot after a couple plays.

One thing I wished you did a little more is a comparison test. I bought the clutchfit drive because of your review, but have recently been interested in the D lillard 2 because of your reviews. I have no idea how the clutchfit would compare to recent release shoes. When you say this is the best low top, I now wonder how it compared to the D lillard 2. Which do you think is better? I've also heard the D lillard 2 is a "heavier" shoe. That's something you don't consistently talk about is the shoe's weight.
Weight is always listed on the shoes score card. You can also compare score cards from one shoe to the next. What you're asking for is not really a comparison, but you wish for me to choose your shoe for you. I won't do that. You need to be able to take the information provided and apply it to your wants/ needs.

+Edward Wang That's based on build. I think I discussed it a long time ago in the KD 3 review. Some shoes are blocky feeling due to build, not weight. The Lillard 2 and CL Boost '16 have pretty different scores in key attributes. Figure out which of those attributes you hold highest then start comparing. I've designed the grading system to be so easy that anyone at any age can compare kicks with ease.
Can you kinda review the Nike Hyperize? I remember some NBA teams complaining about players twisting their ankles in em. I know you gonna be able to detail that whole thing. Comparisons would awesome too. Love your work!
Yeah a big boy can hoop in these and be happy. I think with a high top model you feel more secure, usually get less heel slippage and it will keep your Achilles ligaments warmer and less prone to injury. I'm looking forward to the dRose 7. That said the kd 9 kills all shoes right now. It may be the best hoop shoe Nike ever made. If you can deal with the fit issues and the struggles to get them on and off you will be rewarded. Now KD needs a high top elite version of this.

The DRose 6 looks almost the same as this, except for the added materials to make it a high top model. I love PrimeKnit on my Boost ZG and Stan Smith, and I'm really intrigued how it will perform on a basketball shoe.
I've always been scared to play in a low top. Tried different low tops in store (Kobes, Curry low), but the CLB 2016 is the only one I felt comfortable with on foot. Incredible support and cushioning.
