@@Joy25-ce6vz and @louiseanne5075, this is a more researched response available online: Your comment about the apartheid government not planting trees is likely referring to the historical legacy of apartheid in South Africa, which has had lasting effects on the distribution of green spaces and trees in urban areas. During the apartheid era, public parks and street trees were mainly developed for beautification purposes in the historically affluent northern white suburbs of cities like Johannesburg. This has resulted in an unequal distribution of tree canopy cover between different parts of the city. A study found that virtually all (96%) South African cities remain under a form of “green apartheid” - an uneven distribution of city trees, greenery, and parks across racial and income geographies. White citizens tend to live in areas with many more trees, greener vegetation, and easier access to public parks than areas with predominantly black African, Indian, and coloured residents. Efforts have been made to address this issue. For example, groups like Greenpop have started initiatives to plant trees in marginalized communities. However, fully uprooting green apartheid in South Africa will take time. It’s important to note that the distribution of green spaces is just one aspect of the broader socio-economic inequalities that persist in South Africa post-apartheid. These inequalities are complex and multifaceted, involving issues of land ownership, wealth distribution, and access to resources. I hope you both find this information helpful. @LivinginSAtv will blow your mind🤯

Diepkloof Ext 3
So soweto is like the chitungwisa of south africa because I'm seeing there are nice places in soweto just like chitungwisa.
Educate us please where is chitugwisa
@@thembimaseko9600 just right below harare its a satellite town that feeds into harare with 45 wards just like harare with high density areas, medium density and low density areas.
chitungwisa is a Soweto of your country not the other way around.Soweto has always been like this we didnt copy from anyone else .Put some respect on Soweto please. The black middle class is doing amazing here and they are educated
@@consulargeneral8136 WHY are you running away from home if you have chitungwisa. Your people make places in Diepsloot to be slums where ever you are it collapse. Mandela led us down.
@@thembimaseko9600 exactly they create these shanty towns all over jhb then turn around call our country a mkhukhu nation, the irony
200000 in Diepkloof??isn't that overpopulated???why is there no litter??? But far too much litter and filth 7n the city other suburbs
Many factors lead to that even illegal immigration most townships are spared from it coz they are viewed as shanty towns that are dangerous nobody wanna live in the surburbs n cities it's easy for people to hijack abandoned houses n buildings
south Africans love there...
Go to rural areas ❤as well please
i have not been there but i have heard of it and are not sure about it
May you please review/show us (Meyersdal Eco Estate)

Why are there so few trees,
The apartheid government didn't plant them😢
@@Joy25-ce6vz and @louiseanne5075, this is a more researched response available online: Your comment about the apartheid government not planting trees is likely referring to the historical legacy of apartheid in South Africa, which has had lasting effects on the distribution of green spaces and trees in urban areas.
Great point...
people need to be encouraged to do so🙌🔥
Oh really !!!!
You luck you never experience apartheid
Looks like makoko
you daft
you are moving too fast
You people brag with upper class in Soweto, but crucified those in Cape town. Don't do that.
Well its not our problem that they not investing in their townships
Looks like criminals live in this area 😂
