I first watched Justin on As the World Turns as Tom Hughes. I was elated when he joined Guiding Light. The character of Buzz was wonderful and he played it so well. Frank always unlucky in love. I loved him with Melina Kanakaredes as Eleni were pure magic though. I was enough to meet Beth in the early 90's in a bar in NYC along with Morgan Englund (Dylan), they were both so much fun, down to earth and lovely. My friends knew that I was a huge fan of the show and met them first, and asked if they would be fine with them calling me to join them. They enthusiastically said of course. A great moment in my early NYC life and still an amazing memory. The Coopers were a wonderfully, real and down to earth family. I wanted to be Harleys best friend.
ALWAYS LOVED HARLEY!!! BETH FOR PRESIDENT!!! Justin, you rocked your role as Buzz AND Tom Hughes! Great enthusiasm. My mom and I are REALLY MISSING GL and ATWT!Time for a GL reboot! "The New Norn"
Sorry to be so offtopic but does any of you know of a method to get back into an instagram account? I stupidly forgot the account password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me.
@Moses Thiago I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
I just went back and watched this again. It's so great to see the Cooper family. It was extra wonderful to see John Driscoll and to see that he's serving for our country. What a great guy.
Met Justin in JFK airport many moons ago. We were both waiting for our flights. I knew who he was cause GL was great only soap I watched. We had lovely conversation. He’s a real nice guy!
I so enjoyed this one with the Cooper family. One of my favorites so far!!! There's such a genuine connection, love and mutual respect between these five individuals and amazing actors. Justin Deas is so freakin' HILARIOUS on top of being such an incredible actor!!! GL is my all time favorite soap. This was such a treat!!!!
I have watched this twice both times with a huge smile on my face. You could feel the love that they all share for each other. I was touched by the father son/daughter relationship Justin talked about for Beth, Frank, and John. Fiona was a delight too! I was always a huge Harley fan (especially during the Harley/Mallet (Mark Derwin) times). I just went back and watched their scenes together during the root cellar, cross creek, and their times in the Honeymoon suite. Guiding Light will always have a special place in my heart and these reunions just make me realize how lucky we were to have them in our lives for so long. Looking forward to many more of these reunions. Would love one with some of the writers, producers or directors who could give us their input on working behind the scenes at GL. Thanks again Alan!
I just watched this for the second time. I could listen to these 5 for hours! Not only are they all great actors, they seem like really great people! As great as you, Alan. Thank you so much for all of these but for me, this was my favorite!
I've watched bits of this session a few times now and every time it brings a smile to my face. It literally lifts me up seeing these faces when I'm down. I remember when there were about 200 people watching the event live and now there have been 32000 views! Testament to the master quality of this group and the bonds they still have with each other. The behind the scenes stories are priceless. We need an encore session! this must have been one of the most popular reunions you've organized! Maybe next time with Jean Carrol? Maybe float in Sonia Satra? Melina? The Coopers rocked! Thank you again for organizing this reunion! So grateful 🙏
Which guy did you like Harley with best? I liked her with Alan Michael. Mallet was cool as well. I' m surprised they did not pair her with Dylan, unless I missed it. He was the dad of her 1st kid Daisy.
Thanks for putting these events together! Starting with my Great Grandma listening on the radio up to the final episode, GL was always a part of our family... fondly missed Very heart warming. .
That.Was.Spectacular!!!!!! I absolutely love all the actors that are “the Coopers”!! It was soooo good to see you all together again. Such talent. Miss you all so much. Wishing you all the best in your careers. Love from Ottawa, Canada 😘❤️🙌😊
Alan I just want to say thank you for having the Cooper family on today again some of the brilliant cast from GL and as you can still tell their true family relationship that helped to make GL one of the greatest soaps of all time 😊💜💜
Hi from Greece ! I'm really sorry to say this but I haven't the slightest idea who the Cooper family is ! I'm only here because of Justin Deas, the legendary DA Keith Timmons who is still fondly remembered for that part in Europe, I know it's the case in my country ! I have thoroughly enjoyed the entire video, thank you Mr Locher !
You are so welcome, Evan. You should check out Justin's work as Buzz Cooper on Guiding Light. Greece is one of my favorite vacation spots. Thanks for watching!
Awesome reunion with the Coopers. I love this family! And looking great one and all. And Beth’s voice? Pure Harley. But the same can be said for all of them and their characters so near and dear to our hearts. Thank you so much for giving us time with these wonderful actors and second adoptive families. It is so gratifying to find out the depth and quality of these accomplished actors by this hour long glimpse behind the fourth wall.
This is and will forever be my favorite chat. I have missed Beth Ehlers so much and this was a wonderful gift in the mix of such a tumultuous year. Love the genuine affection and chemistry this group have with one another. They're all so very articulate and funny. Justin is the most hilarious human being! Frank is a guiding light. Fiona is pure classic beauty inside and out. John is amazing. And I love Beth even more now...such a down to earth and smart lady. Hoping this won't be the last with this group. Thank you Alan ❤
This made my day. I had been in court all day with emergency hearings. To see my old “friends” was a crisp, cool and refreshing dose of entertainment. I am so happy they all are successful and fulfilled. Hugs!
Bravo, Alan - thanks for making this happen. And thanks to all who participated - it's so nice to know they loved working with one another and loved the show as much as we the viewers loved them.
I just finished watching, and wow, what a treat this was to see all of these beloved actors together again. Thank you so much, Alan. I really wish Guiding Light was still on. It was the very best soap.
Alan, thank you so much for setting these up! We need a distraction and these have been terrific. I'm playing catch up but hope to watch a live episode one of these days.
You have no idea what joy this brought to me! Guiding Light was staple in our home, and I always looked forward to coming home from school, and immediately turning the tv on at 3:00 pm with my snack to watch the Coopers, the Lewis’s, the Spauldings...all of them! It’s the strongest, most joyful memories I have with my mom who passed away way too young in 1995. Watching this, and all of your videos Alan...makes me feel like I have her sitting right beside me in the couch again in the 80’s and early 90’s. I think this particular video was my most favorite one yet! Keep them coming Alan! ❤️
We are the same generation, I grew up with the soap as well. I liked the Coopers too. Fiona lost her accent. I stopped watching when Cool came in the scene.
This was awesome. I grew up watching Guiding Light in the 70s with my mother. I never quit watching. Harley was my favorite character and hearing her talk fondly of Robert Newman (Josh) did not surprise me. Their chemistry together was the best I have ever seen on a soap. I loved them together. Just wish it had lasted longer.
Miss this soap. Saw Frank, Robert Newman and a few others at a show in Pittsburgh PA a few years ago. Tried to get the shirt off of Robert, but realized I was over the money I had, but it was fun.
I can pinpoint the exact reason I fell in love with ATWT & GL as a teenager in the early 80s, and that was all because of Justin Deas!! I tuned into ATWT for the first time when Tom & Margo (the brilliant Margaret Colin) were running from Mr.Big on some island and I was hooked! Then I followed that brilliant actor to GL as the incomparable “Buzz”. Oakdale & Springfield were my homes for decades until they ended. Thank you to Alan for bringing them back together in these chats. They all feel like long lost relatives. 😘💐
Thank you Alan. This makes me smile. I'm a fourth generation As the World Turns and Guiding Light fan. My great-grandmother watched and listened to both shows on the television and radio in the 1950s. I started watching both shows with my mother or parents in the 80s and 90s. You hit this one out of the park...I didn't really watch much GL in the 2000's, because of all of the re-casts, so Having the 90's Coopers ( I didnt know Coop) here was great!! Fiona was one of my favorites!!
So glad I stumbled across your channel! GL and ATWT were part of the fabric of my childhood. It’s so fun to see them all again and hear about their memories from those days ❤.
Thank you so much for this. I met Beth once at Kings Dominion. It meant so much to me. I lost my first child and when I was so depressed, I knew I could turn on the TV everyday at 3pm and escape my grief for an hour everyday.
The best interviews Alan! Thank you for doing these. I am watching this a year later. I loved the Coopers! I wish Margaret Colin would have said a quick hello along side Justin! I loved their Tom and Margo characters from ATWT.
Loving these Locher cast reunions, just watched the one with Greg Marxx, Hilary B. Smith and Scott Bryce from ATWT, loved GL, had a crush on Robert Newman "Joshua Lewis" and who can forget the great Kim Zimmer " Reva Shayne" loved the Coopers too and the late great Michael Zaslow "Rodger Thorpe" misty eyes watching, grew up watching with Mom (RIP), sadly we will never see this golden age of the soaps again, a blessed witness and I loved Josh with Harley but it ended when Reva returned from "the dead"....
I love these reunions. I miss my soap operas so much. I would really love if you could get John Loprieno who played Cord and Andrea Evans who played Tina from One Life To Live for a reunion. They are and will always be my favorite supercouple.
Great show. The Coopers were the family, I think, a lot of viewers could relate to. Seeing them all together here was a great family reunion for them and viewers. Love, loved Fiona Hutchison's character from day one. GL had a stellar acting cast and when they had a record 11 or 12 Daytime Emmy acting nominations, I was excited to watch the Emmys. Not so much nowadays though.
Thank you for your service to our country John.
👍👍
I am thrilled to see all of you!!!! :) Beth Ehlers was my favourite character. I have missed seeing you so much.

I never knew he played Tom Hughes!! Do you know roughly what year? My favorite shows ever were GL and second ATWT
ALWAYS LOVED HARLEY!!! BETH FOR PRESIDENT!!!
Justin, you rocked your role as Buzz AND Tom Hughes! Great enthusiasm. My mom and I are REALLY MISSING GL and ATWT!Time for a GL reboot! "The New Norn"
I always loved Harley's laugh on the show, so hearing Beth today was a real treat.

I agree with you.
I grew up watching As The World Turns and Guiding Light too Alan.
I just went back and watched this again. It's so great to see the Cooper family. It was extra wonderful to see John Driscoll and to see that he's serving for our country. What a great guy.
Thank you to The Locher Room for putting these all together. It did the heart good to see them all together. THANK YOU!
I'm so glad, Jim!
I've always loved Beth! Great to see her again.
Met Justin in JFK airport many moons ago. We were both waiting for our flights. I knew who he was cause GL was great only soap I watched. We had lovely conversation. He’s a real nice guy!

I agree, it’s one of my absolute favorites! Yes, they are so humble and so proud of one another. It’s the sweetest thing!
Watch Justin as Keith Timmons on Santa Barbara. A riotfest!
What a great group of actors. You can really tell how much they love each other.
I always loved all the Cooper family! This is so great to see them again, and they truly seem like a family with each other! Justin is hilarious.

Wow twice - I'm so glad you liked it so much. I hope to have a writer / producer one in the next month or so. Thanks again for watching.
Thank you for all being here and sharing. GL was such a big part of my life for so many years. You and your characters are sorely missed.
Love the Coopers . I would love for them to be on Netflix ❤️❤️❤️❤️💕💕

Love Justin and Fiona! Thank you so much for reuniting the Coopers!
You are so welcome, Barbara.
My "First Family" when it comes to soaps. Harley was my 'idol' so to speak. Beautiful and spunky. I wanted to be her

You're so welcome, Brie. This is quite the talented group of actors.
This is perfect time to bring guiding light back!!! People need shows like this right now.
The Coopers took over the place the Reardons had with the Boarding house years before. You couldn't help but to love them and relate to them.
Which guy did you like Harley with best? I liked her with Alan Michael. Mallet was cool as well. I' m surprised they did not pair her with Dylan, unless I missed it. He was the dad of her 1st kid Daisy.

My family was fans since the days of radio as well. The title "Guiding Light was inspired from a religious radio show in the 30's I believe.
Justin Deas looks great. I don’t know what I expected but he looks great. Actually, they all look great. Great reunion.
Thanks so much!
Yeah, he really looked the same to me!
So nice seeing them all again; thank you again Alan for these continued reunions!

Thank you Alan. This makes me smile. I'm a fourth generation As the World Turns and Guiding Light fan. My great-grandmother watched and listened to both shows on the television and radio in the 1950s. I started watching both shows with my mother or parents in the 80s and 90s. I was watching the closing credits from GL from the summer of '91 and could name every character and who they were related to.
Your tribute to Kathryn Hayes was touching, especially Larry Brygman's response. Keep these coming. Plus you're a cutie.
Awwww -- thank you, Frank. I really appreciate you sharing that story and sending this message. Have a great day.

I was at Kings Dominion with the show. Is this when we were all there from ATWT and GL?
The Locher Room Yep. I have some great pics from that trip.
Way to go, John! My hubs is about to retire from 20 years as an officer. May God keep you safe as you serve.
The best interviews Alan! Thank you for doing these. I am watching this a year later. I loved the Coopers! I wish Margaret Colin would have said a quick hello along side Justin! I loved their Tom and Margo characters from ATWT.
At least you're watching them....check out my interview with Margaret Colin in the As the World Turns playlist. I appreciate you tuning-in.
