We flew with Flair to Abbotsford last week , and we were delayed 10 hours and they didn't tell us anything, then on our way back we were delayed an hour and once again no one told us anything.
Your lucky they didn’t cancel the flight for no reason while your waiting to board it, and we had to book a next flight and just had to hope they would refund our money
My flight in June got changed to a day earlier, not complaining that means another day of vacation. I flew flair from Vancouver to Waterloo in March and they gave us 40$ in food vouchers for my family of 4 after a delay
I just want to say, I’ve flown Flair 3 times and only had one minor delay of one hour due to a crew member getting off another flight which was late due to weather. If you understand the redirections and fees, it’s truly a bearable airline
I actually went on this airline a week ago, and to be honest with you, it’s better than Air Canada. The only problem is when I arrived, they just gave up the baggage and I still haven’t received any suitcases. Edit: We finally got our suitcases back after 2 months
I was with Flair for my round trip to Calgary, and since we were a group, the customer service was fine for me and for the price, it compared pretty well with WestJet and Air Canada. So if you’re on a budget, consider flying Flair.
Thats my whole thought, if I'm paying for a cheap service, I won't even expect world class service like some of these petty people living on a budget LOL.
Don’t blame Flair Airlines, it started exactly the same way as Spirit did: a charter airline. And making a charter airline into a scheduled airline is not easy.
Exactly. Along with being a budget airline they have to save money on everything (other than aircraft maintenance and pilot training). The customer service employees probably aren’t being payed enough to care.
Flair in vancouver and abbostford are almost never delayed. I watch flight traffic and their departure times are almost spot on. I work in Abbotsford at the airport and I will see them come in and stay for an hour and then leave again on time. must be a ontario thing.
That's a whole different story than Delta putting you in a French speaking hotel after the whole plane stayed on the Dutch side of the island... after delaying so long, it was impossible to get another flight out. Then, bringing you back the next day and still delaying your flight so long that you miss all options for your connecting flights and being stuck overnight in another city.
I flew on flair airlines in 2021, it seemed perfect to me. But the customer service needed some work. At least they got us there safely, no harm was done.
Without flair I would only get to see my parents a few more times in my life. With flair, I see them every birthday, long-weekend, holiday and vacation. Sure there are downsides, but the upsides are priceless.
That overshooting the runway was at my local K-W (YKF) airport. Lucky that the ground in front of the runway is flat - as it could have been a landing similar to the infamous Toronto Air France landing, from 2005. I see Flair flying above my house everyday and often wonder how is to fly that airline. Lots of friends have gone with Flair out west and to Orlando and they say that once you get going (yes - ONCE YOU GET GOING) it's like any other budget airline. I was curious what kind of a hotel accommodation the airline offered to the stranded clients, but I guess being from Toronto - you did not ask for it . I'm going to watch your video on Spirit Airlines, which in my opinion is the worst airline in North America. I have some personal beef with them. They ruined one of my short trips to Myrtle Beach, with not much of a compensation. When I was working as a travel agent - I was always discouraging clients to use that airline. Thanks for the video and greetings from Waterloo🤗
This is happening to us right now. They even cancelled the hotel vouchers after we checked in and we were stuck with the hotel bill. Its a nightmare. The flight been rescheduled 3 times
I flew flair last May and the service/flight was actually really enjoyable! No delays, the 737 MAX 8 is a very quiet, smooth and efficient aircraft and I would definitely fly with them again!
I’m taking flair to Vancouver from Waterloo. The airport where that plane overshot the runway. It’s my first time ever flying by myself so hopefully since Waterloo is a smaller airport it’ll be fine. I’m in a wheelchair too so something better not happen to my chair
Yep, I've been a little suspicous about Flair. But the difference in price from Air Canada is enormous, so I'd give AC a raspberry AS WELL, and there aren't many other choices apart from walking.
I’ve flown Flair before and it was actually pretty nice, the plane was clean and the crew was super helpful.. the flight did get delayed about a half hour but that happens to all airlines everyday
It is hard to make a final conclusion using "2" sample sizes. I have had terrible experiences on Air Canada and West Jet while also have great experiences. I know South West in the US gets a lot of flack, but the one time I flew them, we had an amazing experience.
I've had pretty good luck with Flare. Nice option when something comes up last minute and you don't want to pay an arm and a leg to get a flight. But alas, in the end, one gets what one pays for when using a ULCC.
As a Ramp agent for Flair, theres so many factors that play role and delays. For example , maybe the aircraft arrived late at its destination before coming to Toronto. Maybe the maintenance crew came across a problem that prevented the aircraft from flying. Sometimes these things happen , and it's not a simple task to finish. Most of the times aircraft gets Towed to Hangar so the problem gets fixed before its next departure. We always get a TOW To Hangar from our Cancun and Puerto Vallarta arrival. For most of the times the aircraft gets TOWed to Hangar to provide better maintenance. So before you guys judge the airline it's self. Think about all the things that plays role behind the scenes. As a Ramp agent Lead I hate delays to , because it's never us that causes the delay.
Every airline goes through these challenges. Flair’s problem is they run these aircraft on such a tight schedule that if even one plane goes down, cancellations follow. And with Flair having irregular service to some cities, it can be days before you get rebooked. You work for a very poorly managed airline… an airline owing the government 67 million dollars, and having had 4 airplanes seized. Don’t try to defend it. Look for other work before it’s too late.
I flew flair and my friend had a Vancouver Canucks hockey stick. It was signed by the whole team, and when he flew back home in Canada, the flair lost it.
Can you go on Air China (7.14)andAlaska Airlines and jet blue Airlines and Lion Air (0.72) Wings Air (1.11) Flydubai (1,18) AirAsia India (1.34) Shenxhen Airlines (1.54) VivaAerobus (1.56) Wizz Air (1.79)
Flair did this to me from Ottawa to Vancouver. They delayed and delayed and delayed until they finally cancelled - they rescheduled it for 2 days later and said we wouldn’t get on that flight. Had to buy a 1 way for 1500 with west jet. Was a nightmare
I have never been on a Flair Airline but because I'm trying to fly to Vancouver, BC, Canada for the 111th Grey Cup (Canadian Football League), Flair Airlines was the cheapest option to fly from Calgary to Vancouver. I'll give it a shot and see how Flair Air works for me in the Westside of Canada. I leave on November 11th - 20th 2024. Grey Cup Final is on November 17th while the city is trying to figure out what to do for the Grey Cup Festival (should be announced later in Fall 2024)
I actually flew to Mexico a month ago but I’m from Canada and I didn’t go to that flight, I went to WestJet but my neighbours from my neighbourhood were behind me
Or the seat is “pre-reclined” which is a term used to describe seats that don’t reckine. No button in the armrest or any means of recline. Acro airplane seats that do recline have a lever between or below the seat cushion because they are an aircraft interiors company known for making seats as simple to maintain and as light as possible.

I have chat with friends about the terrible flight experience during the whole waiting time for all the boarding time. BTW, finally, the customer service is terrible too!!!!!
As a Brit, I've only flown Flair twice when in Canada, but would not be keen to do so again. On the first, there were no real problems, but the second time, they cancelled my flight without telling me (no email, no call, nothing). I only found out when I went onto the app and could no longer find my flight, and it didn't show up on a general flight search. There was a new one that left about 20 minutes later, but it conveniently cost $200 more than the original and was empty (bear in mind it was only from Vancouver to Calgary, so less than an hour in the hour). They did switch me for free over after I complained, but there was no reason for there not to be a courtesy email.
Try Southwest next and let’s see if your flight really does get canceled😂. Also, when we were returning back from a cruise, Our flight was literally delayed by 16 hours after boarding for 3 hours already, and 16 hrs later, they said we were delayed another 4 hours.
@@Idkchaos36 It was the airline system which was the one who organized these two pilots to go here and these 4 attendants go there. The system was too old.

Today I flew from Toronto to Edmonton and the flight was delayed for 1 hour after take-off there was announced that the flight had lost its signal it was so horrible experience there
yeah couple months ago me and my family of 5 rode flair airlines to vancouver from calgary (and same thing back), It was a hassel overall, and the planes litterally felt like the would fall apart midair. (it was also my first time flying in over 8 years, and i already had a fear of planes prior to it, so all in all it didn't help)
i had a similar experience with american airlines during a domestic flight. our flight was delayed 7 hours, with 3 of those hours spent inside a tiny erj-145 listening to the pilot giving us reasons why we weren't taking off including a mix of bad weather, traffic and fuel (?) eventually everyone was taken off the plane (apparently we weren't allowed to be kept on the plane for more than 3 hours), only to spend another 3 hours in what felt like the coldest place in the airport 😭 staff was so unhelpful, with all their responses being "we don't know" to every question someone asked. when we finally boarded the plane again (midnight by now), the plane spent yet another hour on the runway. at that point i was just beyond exhausted (that was my 3rd flight of the day, following a great experience on AA International). funnily enough, my 1st flight on my journey back home (also domestic) was delayed meaning id miss my connection. the contrast between domestic and international flights was mad!
This is exactly the definition of that saying you get what you paid for like confused customer service or workers because they probably aren’t that trained and like delays and stuff and errors with the server because they don’t have the funding
True Canadian, he can't insult something. Seriously man you can't make excuses for an airline just because it's 5 years old, that's literally 1825 days!
I'm an aviation enthusiast and I can tell you something. This plane is actually a good type of plane, I've seen reviews from friends on the airplane type and they really love this type of plane. When I meet random roblox people who fly on flair they actually say it's a good airline as well! 😂
Try SpiceJet. You will straightaway declare it as worst airline. Spicejet cancels the flight and even won't offer any meal coupon or hotels to stay. They even won't refund your whole money when the flight gets cancelled.
My experience with Flair was positive. I flew to Vancouver with Flair and my return was with West Jet. Hands down Flair was a much better experience. And it came down to how the staff treated the passengers.
I just flew Flair and they improved a ton. I went from YYZ to FLL. In YYZ they went ahead and made me check the backpack size. after some rearranging, I was able to make it fit. On the way back I was supposed to sit with a dog but I am allergic. The crew were very good and moved me. I think understanding its budget is key for most people. I booked it not to get a great experience but because it was cheap. I saw no real value in being extra comfortable for 3 hours each way for double the money. I have flown first class many times and it is worth it for 6-hour flights. I am going to be booking with flair again but this time I am buying a Topo Design Rover Classic bag so it fits within the regulations. Also in FLL, the flight was delayed and they gave me 12 hours' notice. So I found them to not be half bad. Maybe YYZ to FLL seems to be a key route for them so I think they may just protect it more than others.
Perhaps you should fly on Airlines such as Tara Air, China Air or Lion Air, Napal Airlines, Scat Airlines. Those are truly some of the worst, most dangerous, known for crashing etc.
The whole unscheduled aircraft maintenance by flair is seacret code word conversation between the gate agent and the pilot basically saying, hey are you a pilot? Yes Do you want to fly the plane for flair? No not really. Oh ok have a good rest of the day then. Is basically a code word for that whole sentence there
I took flare to Mexico in January of this year, on the way home our flight was cancelled which we had no prior warning for and we’re unable to contact anyone in customer service. The next flair flight was two days later so I had to scramble around to find a hotel near the airport which flair does not even offer a voucher for. Combined that with the extra fees for your checked bag and your carry-on bag and seating if you want to sit next to the person you’re travelling with makes flair no discount at all. NEVER NEVER AGAIN . 👎
Spirit once left me at 3am and they had kept delaying it until they admitted they didn’t have a pilot, they had a chance to give us all a hotel but they didn’t want to, spirit is one of the worst airlines but there are many
I think Swoop is the worst airline in “Canada” we flew from YEG to YXX it keeps delaying and the flight was at 9PM it got delayed until 2AM and landing was super hard personally i would avoid Swoop airlines instead take flair this is just a reminder if you still like swoop it’s ok.

yeah couple months ago me and my family of 5 rode flair airlines to vancouver from calgary (and same thing back), It was a hassel overall, and the planes litterally felt like the would fall apart midair.
Being canadien myself. The snow for a canadien airline is nothing.
I watched 3 flairs takeoff at Halifax Canada 🇨🇦
I was flying on Wizzair and the flight was delayed till the next day and they're a budget airline and they still gave a free 4 star hotel
Thanks for doing all of this for us. Very good information
Perhaps you should fly on Airlines such as Tara Air, China Air or Lion Air, Napal Airlines, Scat Airlines. Those are truly some of the worst, most dangerous, known for crashing etc.
Flew flair handful of times with just a backpack from Edmonton to Montreal and Winnipeg, no issues luckily.
The whole unscheduled aircraft maintenance by flair is seacret code word conversation between the gate agent and the pilot basically saying, hey are you a pilot? Yes
Do you want to fly the plane for flair?
No not really.
Oh ok have a good rest of the day then.
Is basically a code word for that whole sentence there
I'm flying Ryanair bristol Dublin in march
When they delayed his flight till tomorrow that day was my bday
if the terminal is leaking water its fine as long as the terminal doesnt fall to pieces your good
On Tuesday we are flying from New York to Toronto with Flair Airline
How did it go?
I took flare to Mexico in January of this year, on the way home our flight was cancelled which we had no prior warning for and we’re unable to contact anyone in customer service. The next flair flight was two days later so I had to scramble around to find a hotel near the airport which flair does not even offer a voucher for. Combined that with the extra fees for your checked bag and your carry-on bag and seating if you want to sit next to the person you’re travelling with makes flair no discount at all. NEVER NEVER AGAIN . 👎
“So watch the Full vi..”
“Nope”
Spirit once left me at 3am and they had kept delaying it until they admitted they didn’t have a pilot, they had a chance to give us all a hotel but they didn’t want to, spirit is one of the worst airlines but there are many
My guy you can charge them 500$ for delaying your flight more than 9 hours. You can claim this within one year of the cancellation.
Can you next fly to Slovakia please? NICE VIDEO BTW!
At one point he said,,, the seats made my back hurt
hehe hi bob
I think Swoop is the worst airline in “Canada” we flew from YEG to YXX it keeps delaying and the flight was at 9PM it got delayed until 2AM and landing was super hard personally i would avoid Swoop airlines instead take flair this is just a reminder if you still like swoop it’s ok.
I would literally just leave and not even take the flight, Just so frustrating lol
Flair wasn't bad at all for me, London to Tuscon wasn't bad at all. We got our luggage right away and even the landings were butter
Make a comparison video between flair, spirit, and Ryanair
The UA-cam short started to play at the same time I was watching the video and it scared me 😅😂😂
“Why is every single budget airline like this?” AirAsia:
