Over the past 3 years I fly wizz 2 times a week on average. About 85 percent of my flights are on time and go well. And considering I usually pay something like 20-25 eur for a flight and I sit in a brand new a321 neo... it would really be unfair to say that they are bad, let alone worst. ...
@user-ki2tg3qf4j maybe it is for weather reasons? Once I was going to Berlin and a sudden storm came and the pilot said he had no other chance than diverting to Dresden. But then we got buses that took us to Berlin.
As long as you look into Wizzair's guidelines, it's a decent experience. I took two flights with Wizzair, both impressed me for a budget airline. One from Paris to Rome that was delayed 5 hours due to protests. The airline could've easily canceled the flight from Orly, but instead offered us a bus trip to Beauvais an hour away in order for us to still take our flight. We made it to Rome without a hiccup. My other trip from Rome to Barcelona was on time and had no issues.
I studied abroad for a semester and when I took my trips I only flew with Ryanair. I’ve heard the rumors, but honestly I was impressed. The fares are so cheap and all I ever had was a backpack when traveling so no extra fees. Much better than I ever expected!
Man come on, when you are paying 15€ for a flight you can’t have any expectations. You get what you pay for, simple as that. Ryanair managed to make air travel accessible to literally everyone and I respect them for that. I work in aviation by the way (not Ryanair) Also the cabin is so dirty because they don’t pay for airport cleaning service, the cleaning is being done by the flight attendants in a very limited time.
Personally i never had any problems with the mentioned airlines. The problem is that people sometimes just don't read the restrictions, allowances etc. I've had bad experiences with well established airlines , for wich i paid al lot more money .
The truth is the most airlines do have good/ bad & issues regardless !! To me ,I am thankful that there are so many more choices of airlines / products we can choose from & we just have to weigh 'em / compare to our needs ! I think Wizz air is good . I haven't used either one ,but looking forward to ,someday I'm sure I'll fly on them ! Lol.💜🥁🐉🎤🎶✈️💞
Found Ryanair to be absolutely fine. Flight was uneventful, staff were pleasant and it did everything on the tin. Shared a suitcase with my wife, checked in online, volunteered to sit by an emergency exit so I had plenty of leg room.
Yes, I personally think to call any European airline bad is a marketing trick from the more expensive airlines. I regularly fly Wizz and besides their website being slow at times never had any issues. The main difference is that the "cheap" airlines allow you to buy nothing but the trip. No extras if you don't want them.
im actually surprised that wizzair is even considered bad because i have had no bad experiences flying with wizz when i was going to hungary to see family
For me WIZZ air is always a life saver, it has much cheaper and reliable tickets, it's much friendlier and if you wanted to you could pay 35 euros for a 5 hour flight. Crazy right. The seats are also brand new and pretty comfortable, and the cabin crew is really friendly. Even Ryanair doesn't deserve it, honestly it's not that bad. Plus, would you rather spend 200 euros for a 2h one way flight?
@@Forvidznthat they look different because they are brand new A321 neo's, they are literally factory new and efficient in literally anything. if you need to say something bad about them their planes are probably the worst thing you can target.
Ryanair can be great. My aunt lives in the UK and she has to go to Ireland regularly because her dad is sick. She only needs a small carry on backpack and does not pay for any extra charges. She can sometimes get round trip tickets for less than £20. It is very easy and handy for her.
Ryanair seats are so uncomfortable (I have not been on these budget airlines ) no legroom unhygienic no lying down position bad food bad bathroom no shower and do these airlines even have first class , business class . And some annoying people would be often why not just spend 100 400more
Rayanair is a way of life dude. U buy a ticket for the other side of a Europe for 7,99 euro dollars, u grab a back pack with a cloth change and your wallet and there you go to a weird city u never heard of for a weekend, that’s the euro way 😅
I just flew with RA two weeks ago. I didn't worry or get anxious at the gate about the weight of my carry on because...I made sure it was under 10kg. Yeah I know, I'm a genius. Most of those that rubbish RA are those who get caught out by not following the instructions. You don't have to opt for any of the add ons. For a two-hour flight in Europe who needs to eat on the plane? Who needs a great seat? It's a bus that flies. I've flown RA lots of times, and I've never had a single problem. Yet you regularly see shock-horror stories in the UK gutter press about poor dears who fail to print their ticket (get the app and have it scanned if you are living in 2023) and get charged £50. It's not difficult. I'm over 60 years old and I can handle the tech.
"Theres no lounge" - Its a budget airline. "Theres no padded headrest" - Its a budget airline "They charge for excess baggage" - Yes, because they are their rules. Stick to flying American Express. Flying budget is clearly too working class for you.
Who cares , just get on a plane and proceed to your destination 😁 enjoy your carrier. Stop being so petty and peckish . Why is everyone so whiny nowadays it’s like enough is never enough be happy you are able to do it in the first place 😂
I don't think Wizzair is all that bad. Also, buying priority boarding does SOMETHING for you, it allows you to bring a small suitcase with you on board, otherwise you are only allowed a carry on bag. And it does say on your boarding pass from which side of the plane to board.
I am a ryanair flight attendant. Just to let you know, the crew did not perform their duties as they were supposed to. When it comes to the seats, you had the older version, which they are getting rid of them by time. The ones on your flight were non Boeing sky interior, there is the updated version which is way more comfortable, the Boeing sky interior. I can assure you that ryanair, in their recent training, they are focusing on customer service more often. It also depends on who you find as a crew member. I can only speak about my country, malta. You'll get amazing experience from here.
Those are the new Ryanair seats. Some of the older aircraft have been retrofitted. You can tell by the shape of the yellow plastic bit up the top that these are the newer seats.
I am a flight attendant at Ryanair asswell, the f¥ck you mean by saying they didn’t do their job properly? I am impressed by how you can tell that , you know the kind of passengers we have on board , and the short turn around s we have , it’s impossible to keep the cabin clean throughout the day , let alone the lavatories, I am not paid to clean the mess after the uneducated passengers, neither you , we are barely paid to be flight attendants
When my girlfriend was on Erasmus in Warsaw and me on Erasmus in Bucharest, I was used to flight with them at least once a month and I have to admit, even after 59 flights with Ryanair and 24 with Wizz, that I was never disapointed with them, because their prices are that low, that you cant expect miracles. Its to get you from A to B and for that prices, which they have in Europe, Wizz even to MiddleEast, both airlines are amazing to be honest. You just need to have just backpack, empty bottle for tap water from airport and your snacks, if you want to save.
I've flown Ryanair countless times and never had a bad experience. The only time my flight was delayed it was because the airspace was closed due to a G7 summit in the region. I also enjoy turbulent approaches and rough landings, so that's really not a problem for me. On the contrary, I had far worse experiences with Lufthansa and TAP. Also, I'm pretty sure that, when it comes to the split boarding, it's mentioned on the boarding pass if you need to board from the front or the rear.
I second your TAP comment. Absolute garbage airline. Edit: garbage from an end user technology and customer service point of view (app and website). The onboard staff have always been great in my experience.
I'm from Italy and travel a lot in Europe, and I can honestly say that Ryanair and Wizzair are not that bad, bc in the overall consideration u have to take into account how cheap the tickets are!
Hello,im flying soon with Wizzair planes, are they safe, the days im flying are a little with rain, not very much but like a little rain,do you think they are safe
I have flown both and both are great. I've been a quarter ways around the globe for a £12 ryanair ticket (same price as a 30 mile train ticket here) UK to the canary islands with 3 of my friends, it's great. Ryanairs new 737s and the new airbus A320s of wizz air feel fairly high quality and comfortable. You have to play the airline's game a bit, buy either early or last minute, check for the cheapest tickets, don't be annoyed at arriving at a smaller airport, have an open mind and go to some random city you have never heard of for a £20 flight and £15 a night apartment with everything you need in a small backpack. The bad reviews are usually from older grumpy people who expect the silver service of British airways first class - but on a shoestring budget. Ryanair is my favourite airline just because I know I wouldn't have been able to afford any of the amazing trips I have been on if they hadn't been so cheap.
I noticed one problem. The wizzair plane was a newer A321Neo while the Ryanair plane was an older 737-800 leading to the more worn looking seats on Ryanair. Make sure the aircraft’s are similar in age
True, (ryanair is also getting newer planes), a thing a lot of people dont know is that budget airlines almost always have newer planes then more expensive plane companies, the only reason for this is that newer planes save more fuel
But if you fly with an older Wizz Air plane, you still can't see that much wear as on Ryanair. They care much more about the looks and state of the airplane.
@@Fgafgafgaf Also they get amazing deals from the plane manufactures for massive orders and they have great resale value as they sell them after just a few years...For them every penny helps as they work on very small margins

I’m actually SHOCKED Ryanair is considered a bad airline. I have flew on a Ryanair plane ever since I was 4 months old. I have no bad experiences. Yes there is turbulence but it’s not bad. For me it’s not the worst thing ever. For me Ryanair is a very good airline!
Ryanair boarding passes mention what stairs you should use when boarding. Maybe you should look at it next time.... I fly with ryanair 10-12 times per year and never had any issues.
Last month I had a WizzAir flight between London Gatwick - Rome FCO and everything was just amazing... the crew, the aircraft itself, no delay at all. 10/10
Hello,im flying soon with Wizzair planes, are they safe, the days im flying are a little with rain, not very much but like a little rain,do you think they are safe
@@eraeleziThey've been going for 20 years and never had an accident (apart from a landing incident at Rome caused by a bird strike, but they can't be blamed for that), so I think we can conclude that they are safe.
I flew also with them to Rome, my luggage was destroyed and it does not seem they will pay for it. I flew back with Easyjet and the service on the plane was much better. I will probably not fly again with Wizz.
I fly with Ryanair very frequently, never have a problem. Booking is easy, there are no hidden fees, just take your time with the booking. Don't pay for priority, waste of time in my opinion. Bring your own food for the flight and before you leave make sure your baggage isn't overweight, then you should have no problems or have to pay any extra. As regards to boarding on the back or front, it is mentioned on your boarding pass, I can't undertand how that was missed in this video. Sure the seats aren't built for comfort but what do you expect for a budget short haul airline? Also I'm 5'9, leg room isn't so bad and I can have my rucksack on the floor as well. Maybe I've just been extremely lucky but I have zero issues
Ryanair baggage policy is clearly explained on the booking page (dimentions, weight). Why do people always try to push it and then complain when they get caught?
For the past 20 years Ryanair has been the difference between going on a sunny holiday with my family and not going. I can’t say a bad word about them. Never Wizzed though
I’ve flown Ryanair plenty of times and rarely had a problem. The people are complain about the ‘hidden fees’ blatantly just don’t read their website properly. There’s nothing hidden about them…the problem is that people expect a £500 service for £4.99. Wizz on the other hand, worst airline I’ve flown. Left late every single time, and not by short amounts either. The planes also fell like they were falling apart. On a side note, on all Ryanair flights, it will tell you on your ticket which door on the plane you need to go through, just a timesaver for future.
It's not just people not reading their website properly, it's literally a part of their business model. The ancillary revenue of these airlines is really big, to the point where I think you'd be surprised how much the average passenger actually spends on a low cost airline ticket
I have at least 40 flights on each airline. Taking into account the convenience and price, I would say that Ryanair & Wizz are doing a fantastic job in providing cheap and reliable transportation across Europe. But yes, people pay 10 euro but expect business class treatment :))
10?! I have yet to fly on either one for cheaper than 200€ (150 in good old pre-panini days). So yeah, I would expect some quality and respect, particularly if travelling with pets
Pretty nice to see your opinion. As an European I actually used both airlines quite some times. I did not had any major issues, only in Bratislava where I was charged €50 because of missed check in.

You should review easyjet! And the reason why planes are sometimes dirty from the previous flight is due to the fact that flight attendants do a “cabin tidy” (removing any trash from the floor or seats which speeds up the turnaround time) implying that no additional cleaners come aboard to vacuum the floors. So if you want clean planes, fly the first flight to the set destination!
if ur seat is dirty id reccomend bringing some wipes on the plane and wiping off the seat, tray table, armrests and window if your sitting beside it. you can also use wipes to wipe off the toilet seat if you need it
I feel like your experience is somewhat hampered by the fact that European low cost is quite different to US low cost. I personally have flown Ryanair a lot, and have found them to be great every time. Never had any big delays, maximum has been like 1hr 30mins but this is not often. And also I don’t think any of their fees are necessarily hidden, they just have an awful lot of extra fees, but you can choose which ones to have, and if you read the small print then you shouldn’t have a problem. As for the cleaning, they don’t really clean them at all which again is common on most European low cost airlines. They clean them properly at the end of the day hence why I try to get the first flight of the day out lol. They have a target turnaround time of 25 mins, cleaning? Ain’t nobody got time for that 😂. I’ve flown wizz a handful of times, most flights were delayed but other than that okay. But I avoid them for the mere reason I HATE HATE HATE Luton 😂😂 whereas Ryanair I can get flights from Stansted which is so much nicer
I'd heard horror stories about Luton but I've now flown from there to Warsaw a few times and am yet to see what the trouble is 😂 Only issue I've had at Luton was on one return flight waiting for baggage claim while the ground crew were striking, that did take about a couple of hours and meant ultimately hitting my train from Liverpool St - Norwich during the peak period when I had an off peak ticket. Luckily since GA were also striking that day and running a reduced service, they didn't have any restrictions on off peak tickets being used on peak trains so dodged a bullet there 😂
The Wizzair landing was harder nut due to the landing gear on the airbus which is much longer dampens the hard impact so it feels smoother. B737 has very stiff landing gear.
Doing a rough landing is a way for the pilot to slow the plane down. Some of the energy that would keep the plane moving forward is dissipated on impact, so the plane can get off the runway and to the stand more quickly and maybe gain a few minutes for disembarking and boarding for the next flight
Absolutely nothing wrong with Ryanair. They're cheap and end of day that's All that matters, so off course you do have to make sacrifices, once I have a seat then I'm happy. I got a flight to Edinburgh from Dublin for €55 return, aer lingus were charging over €150 for the same trip.
@@sirgaffo what do they teach you to do in response? I’ve dealt with airport staff and cabin crew who’ve really not handled it well. Never on Ryan air though so this is why I ask.
@@George1789 When you go for training with cabin crew its not just as simple as just going into a job and they train you as you work, you have to study how to deal with first aid responses from small cuts and how to identify what type of bleed it is to preforming CPR and using the onboard defibrillator in case of cardiac arrests. How to deal with pregnant women from miscarriages to labour to assisting with birth and the delivery of the baby. Our role as cabin crew medically is quite extensive and covers a lot of our training and i know for Ryanair specifically from my past experience of working there the pass mark for all exams is 90% they do tell us that no matter how much you train though some may never be able to handle the situation as well as others and that's just part of the human condition as well as some who have become too comfortable in the norm become caught off guard when situations arise. Panic attacks we try assess what is the matter and if they have experienced this before, give the passenger some breathing space turn on the air vent offer some water and in extreme cases sometimes we administer oxygen in the galley to help calm them down. Panic attacks are quite tricky as often there is nothing much you can really do but offer a comforting presence and promote their recovery.
@@George1789hi, im currently cabin crew for ryanair, in terms of ground staff, i don’t know their training process as it’s not the same as ours however if someone is having a panic attack, we take them out of sight of other passengers and we basically try and calm them down as best we can, we have a set of things we do to help them calm down, but like anything medically alarming, we are very well trained and treat all situations very seriously, hope that helps! ❤
Thank you for flying Ryanair, Last year, over 90% of our flights arrived on time, we hope you enjoyed yours, and we look forward in welcoming you onboard again soon, Ryanair, low fares, made simple.
my friend who was flying ryanair once got stuck in France for 30 hours because first there plane broke down then the back up plane broke down and they had too 30 hours on the floor with no basic neccesities provide eg food water or acommidation great job ryanair
Never had too bad of an experience with Ryanair, and I‘ve flown with them countless times. It’s not a luxury airline by any means, but you don’t pay luxury prices either. The fares are usually extremely cheap, but you have to comply with their admittedly unusual guidelines. Entitled people who feel like they deserve to be treated like a celebrity on a 10€ flight and not comply with the rules usually end up paying high fees, benefiting everyone else by allowing Ryanair to charge low fares and still turn a profit. I love it.
When you said the seats were bad on ryanair thats their okd planes, when i was flying to spain for a vacation the plane was new and so clean and the seats werent cracked, but when we were coming home from spain the seats were cracked and we got a older plane, its not just ryanar, i love ryanair ❤
I usually fly with Wizzair and I liked it. But now they are cancelling flights to Moldova alot because of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. They are also the first flight to do this, which is annoying because we used this airline every time. But, I think Wizz Air is still good because it managed to land in heavy winds for my flight.
The cancellations are likely due to risk analysis. The low cost airlines need their planes to be flying for as much of the time as possible. They schedule the planes for a whole day's work. If a plane gets damaged it has a knock on effect on all the flights it would be doing afterwards. It was quite interesting earlier this year using flightradar24 to watch the plane on which I would be flying doing its outbound from one airport, its return flight to that airport, then inbound flight to where I was, before becoming my flight home to that airport, whilst we were awaiting our airport transfer from our hotel (I tracked it by looking at the scheduled departures and likely previous arrival).
@@moldova1604 yes but to/from a Wizz base. From half December they're starting flights to Belgium, France, Spain, countries where they don't have a base
to everyone complaining about "hidden fees", you pay a pittance to fly and then proceed to not properly read the instructions so that is a 100% on you! Please pay 300 EUR for a flight with BA or KLM if you want "service", you NPC!
I have been flying Ryanair my whole life and I think it's funny how everyone is saying their landings are bad because it's just normal to me😅 Really excited now to experience a "smooth" landing for the first time😂
I flied with wiz air twice and it was amazing,im really surprised that its ranked the worst airline in europe and btw i'd love to see you fly on airserbia!
I’ve flown them on the ATR 72-600 and Boeing 737. I can say that Air Serbia it’s way better than our national company, Tarom! Way better seats, more caring cc. Lovely company Air Serbia!🫶🏻
Some remarks on this video: -Whether to board using the front or rear door is indicated on your boarding pass -Lisbon airport is also always listed in Europe's worst airports, so obviously your experience also wasn't great because of that -I'm 6'6 and take these type of flights on a monthly basis, so i can tell you the worst legroom is Wizz air, then comes Easyjet and Ryanair is the clear winner of low cost -Never queue early => you'll never pay extra for carry-on luggage if overweight
Tbh with Ryanair the reason it was dirty was that Ryanair most of the time do rlly quick turn arounds like once I was boarding the plane they had ppl leaving at the other end so they rlly just don’t have time to clean and at the end of the day at least ur gonna go on ur holidays!!
going to the wrong gate is 100% your fault, they tell you to check the boards. also, going to the wrong stairs is 100% your fault again. Not everybody can travel business class everywhere
I have flown over 50 times across Europe with Ryanair and WizzAir and have never had any problems. Also keep in mind what the flight costs. I barely pay more than €20 for the flight.
I flew with Ryanair last week from Eindhoven to Pisa and it was honestly pretty good. The gate was announced on time and we didnt have to wait that long to board, on Pisa we did have to wait longer but there were plenty of benches to sit on to wait. I didnt see any staff inspecting bagage. On our tickets it was said where we needed to board the plane (also the back). The seats were messy but comfy enough for a 2 hour flight. My only complaint would be that we couldnt pay with maestro card on the plane, only visa. The crew on the flight back was a lot nicer
Actually I doubt that these are Europe's worst airlines... They have their reputation but for the most part they are quite reliable. Go take a few flights on Lufthansa and you'll really experience the worst
I've had okay experiences with Ryanair but never flown with Wizzair. Nowadays even Finnair's cheapest tickets don't include a cabin bag anymore. I believe it is the only European full-service carrier that doesn't allow them with the cheapest Economy tickets. But why would you fly expensive Finnair anymore when you can fly low-cost that have basically the same ticket conditions (no cabin bags, no food, nothing besides a seat to be honest).
I always fly wizzair and I've had only one bad experience where the plane was delayed but it was actually a good experience because i realised I had ordered food and needed more time to eat
Did dozens of flights with both ryanair and wizzair and it was always ok. However I always pack small so no issues with additional baggage fees. Regarding boarding. Both ryanair and wizzair provides information on electronic boarding card which door to choose while boarding. I find their mobile apps to be much better than apps of other "regular" airlines that Ive flown. "Rough landing", well most passengers dont understand this but good landing is when plane touches down inside runway's touch down zone and it is ok to be rough (from safety point of view). Better to land hard in that zone than smooth somewhere in the middle of runway and not be able to stop before end of the runway. Also during wet conditions smooth landing can cause aquaplaning. Training and operating procedures standards are very high in both airlines although highly based on automation.
Guys. It’s true don’t go on ryanair because when we went to the airport we were wanting to get jet2 but it said we were on easyJet but when we got onto the bus to the plane it was RYANAIR! On the way there was kinda okay but on the way back the plane was shaking like mad ad the flight attendants were kinda nice but some were strict and rude. That ruined my holiday!
I flew with both of them and honestly for the price i never had any problem. I mean yeah, the landing is rough but on the other hand its kind of exciting to me :D When i buy tickets, it always shows which stairs you should use to get to your seat faster, and mostly back stairs are empty because everybody is using front ones. But honestly i actually could recomend these two to people that dont have high expectations for flights and just want to get from point A to point B for cheap price while having only carry on, and only having flight time to maximum of 4 hours, because i cant imagine sitting longer in those seats, my back would die :D
I am from the UK and have only flown on Ryanair and EasyJet and I don't mind them. If you have only flown on one airline, then you don't really know how bad or good it is compared to others.
Ryanair is the bridge between Germany and Hungary. Ryanair is the plane with what a commoner can fly. They were never evil, they were always fair to me. I like them.
I really like Ryanair. I flew with them a couple of times this year and every flight was on time and insanely cheap. Yes, they try to squeeze money out of basically everything but you know what you're getting yourself into when booking a ticket. Of course there is no luxury at all but most people don't care, they want to get from A to B at a cheap price. And the success of Ryanair proofs that they are doing everything right.
Hi! My family and I travel and fly a lot. We are from Hungary, so we choose Wizzair for 90% of our travel. We have never had a bad experience. Skilled pilots, nice cabin crew, relatively comfortable seats. We always leave on time, only once have we had a half hour delay. I can heartily recommend them to everyone, they certainly can't be the worst airline in Europe.
Ryanair are by some margin Europe's largest airline by passenger numbers, of course there will be complaints . Ryanair led the way to provide cheap affordable air travel for everyone To do this, they compete by being more efficient than others, this is achieved by high load factors and quick turnaround. They offer a low cost no frills flight with certain rules to drive efficiency. When you decide those rules shouldn't apply to you then you will obviously pay more. If you need luxury then you can fly first class on one of the few remaining legacy airlines for about 15 to 20 times the cost of a Ryanair flight. If you stay in a budget hotel the you can't really complain that it isn't 5 star, if you drive a cheap car you can't complain that it doesn't have a Bose audio system and that the suspension is a little harsh. Some people need a dose of reality Ryanair does exactly what it says on the tin, no more,no less.
Flew with them for quite a few times now and it‘s not that bad, especially wizzair. But to be honest, what do you expect for a flight that costs 20-40€? Ryanair planes are often dirty and not comfortable, yes. One time my flight had a delay of 5 hours but after contacting them they returned us 250€ which was more than the total cost of the flight😅 I would sayyou get what you pay for
i can attest to ryanair's rough landing. went to spain this summer with ryanair, and when landing, it felt like the captain smashed the plane down to the ground, i actually moved up in my seat from impact. no slowing down, no slow descent, it was honestly very scary. i have the landing video, and i can hear people gasping and screaming when landing.
There are many reasons why an aircraft is put down hard. Almost all legitimate reasons. This type of criticism is rarely valid. I have flown 140 flights with Ryanair AND work in aviation at an airport so I know what I'm talking about.
@@pauldunn5978 The Dunning-Kruger is strong with you, so I’d hazard a guess that you work for a Ground Handling company, as a Dispatcher or Ops agent, as an airport Starbucks worker wouldn’t be so cocky and a Baggage Handler or Security guard wouldn’t be arguing in youtube comments.
@tortozza Flight operations and crew support. And a weight and balance qualified load master on 747s. And your experience and exposure to aviation is what? I take it you are in aviation too but I'm guessing not a pilot either. Maybe involved in maintenance/ tech support? I learn a lot of what I know off pilots. I've spent a lot of time over the last 15 years with pilots waiting for aircraft to arrive and we chat about all sorts of stuff. Landings being one of them. What's your problem? I share some knowledge and you get the arse with me. You suggest I've got an attitude. Seems that's coming more from your side. And after looking through other answers, some of the factors have already been covered.
I have never flown Ryanair, but I can say that the Wizz Air service differs in Europe. For example, in the Eastern European countries (where I live) it is quite nice, also, some of the liveries are gorgeous! Very very nice video!
About the 'headrest advertisements': those are safety cards for your own safety, in case of an emergency situation on a Ryanair aircraft - which was told during the safety demonstration 😉🎉
He was talking about the advertisement above the safety instructions. Also having that in your face isn't much better either, as it is just stuck there the entire flight
Hey Eric, just wondering if you could compare Australia’s best airline and worst airline, for me when I went to Australia I had a bad experience with Jetstar, but had a amazing experience with Qantas. Hope this could be a video plan. 💀💀💀
WOW! For the worst airline in Europe, an awful lot of people are willing to fly with them. Ryanair plan on flying around 200'000'000 passengers this year. Prior to Covid, he flew 240'000'000. Ryanair is a very profitable and safe airline who keep flying affordable. We have a lot to be grateful to them for!!
I was flying ryanair the other day and our suitcase was 2kg’s over and they weighed it and didnt say a word 🤷🏽♀️ I love ryanair and its worth the money, i always fly with them i dont understand why they call ryanair bad 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️ And when we were going to fly back home from our trip we were only allowed to have 1 carry-on per person bought we brought 3 extra carry-ons without paying or anything they didnt say anything and didnt weigh them either 🤷🏽♀️
I flew to and from Cyprus with Ryanair this past week and it was a fairly smooth experience for me personally. Hopefully you have a smooth experience to
Hi Eric, I like your channel a lot! However, as a Dutchman currently traveling in Canada I think it is fair to say that comparing Ryanair and WizzAir to Canadian standards (with a proper low-cost carrier missing, except for Flair/Lynx - both relatively low in market share) is not fair. The airfare is waaaay lower. If you decide to fly with just a backpack, flying Ryanair or WizzAir can be cheaper than scoring a breakfast here in Canada (Calgary). Their business model is to fly into B-airport or far (nearly separate) terminals at A-airports. The base fare is extremely cheap, and you pay for the add-ons. IF you compare a 'full' ticket (with lots of add-ons like checked luggage, hand luggage, and seat selection) with more premium carriers, choosing a premier carrier could be as beneficial and more comfortable. However, if you travel lightly (just a backpack, for example) and have a short flight (1/2/3 hrs), I would definitely be open to paying a bit less. Haven't had any issues with both of them. Just follow their strict (luggage) rules, and you should be fine. Keep doing more European airlines! KLM or Transavia ;) For Ryanair/Wizzair; buying an isle seat will do the trick
It is also because in Canada, airports are under exclusive federal jurisdiction, may not receive any subsidy from a local government (how Ryanair often negotiates low fees or even indirect subsidies), and since 1995 are mandated to run a revenue-neutral operation. This means that there is a ~$20 fee that goes to the airport and a ~$8 security screening fee that is a fixed amount irrespective of airline.
As an Australian, my only short haul flight in Europe was on WizzAir from Bratislava to Warsaw. No issues with the service and no problems at the airport even with language barriers. Best of all the flight was significantly cheaper than any other airlanes and was easy to book online!

That’s so normal (for us) 3:10- it’s only in specific airport I’m pretty sure cuz those security scanners are expensive 6:40- why would they have PADDED HEADRESTS?! It’s a short haul flight 😂 8:35 - I can agree the landings are quite rough, but I’m used to it so it’s ok That’s my opinions. I do not wish to be rude or anything here. I found this video very entertaining to watch. I’m not going to do the same to the wizzair one since I’ve never been on one.
I see you're using the "It's a short haul fight" argument a lot. A lot of things that European airlines (including full service carriers) only offer on long haul, are the norm even on short haul in the rest of the world. The ultra-slim seats you see on most short haul aircraft on European airlines (including the legacy carriers) are only found on ULCCs in other regions. While that might not be a big deal for a short flight, the likes of BA, Lufthansa, and Swiss, use those same aircraft with no adjustable headrests, fixed recline, 29-30 inch pitch, and no IFE whatsoever, on 5+ hour sectors to countries like Jordan and Egypt.
Seriously the landing is fine - even 'full service airlines' charge you for food often and honestly I live in Dublin and fly Ryanair quite a bit and its good like people will just try and complain about them for no reason
The fact that you booked priority by mistake on Wizz saved you £65 for your massive carry on as priority guarantees it onboard. If you'd booked without it, it would've only included your backpack and it would have been a different story at boardig trust and believe 😂😂
And why would you possibly book a flight with a basic ticket which includes only the backpack for free and instead bring also a trolley bag and pretend to take it also for free. Read terms and conditions and respect it brother

Also the cabin is so dirty because they don’t pay for airport cleaning service, the cleaning is being done by the flight attendants in a very limited time.

I can assure you that ryanair, in their recent training, they are focusing on customer service more often. It also depends on who you find as a crew member. I can only speak about my country, malta. You'll get amazing experience from here.

Its to get you from A to B and for that prices, which they have in Europe, Wizz even to MiddleEast, both airlines are amazing to be honest. You just need to have just backpack, empty bottle for tap water from airport and your snacks, if you want to save.

Glad you were in Bucharest, our country’s capital.

The bad reviews are usually from older grumpy people who expect the silver service of British airways first class - but on a shoestring budget. Ryanair is my favourite airline just because I know I wouldn't have been able to afford any of the amazing trips I have been on if they hadn't been so cheap.

People like blaming their own problems on other people to escape their own responsability
For the past 20 years Ryanair has been the difference between going on a sunny holiday with my family and not going. I can’t say a bad word about them. Never Wizzed though

Wizz on the other hand, worst airline I’ve flown. Left late every single time, and not by short amounts either. The planes also fell like they were falling apart.
On a side note, on all Ryanair flights, it will tell you on your ticket which door on the plane you need to go through, just a timesaver for future.

They are also busy, as they don't want to stay grounded for too long. They don't get any payments while being there.
if ur seat is dirty id reccomend bringing some wipes on the plane and wiping off the seat, tray table, armrests and window if your sitting beside it. you can also use wipes to wipe off the toilet seat if you need it
Broooo, I got stuck in a non moving queue for bag drop for 2 hours. Worst customer service ever.
Luckily since GA were also striking that day and running a reduced service, they didn't have any restrictions on off peak tickets being used on peak trains so dodged a bullet there 😂
Agree entirely!!Most air lines don’t give the option of keeping your fare down-not everyone needs to travel with the ‘kitchen sink’
The Wizzair landing was harder nut due to the landing gear on the airbus which is much longer dampens the hard impact so it feels smoother. B737 has very stiff landing gear.
WizzAir is my childhood and the colour of the arcraft is amazing.
Also i fly it often since 2016 and had only two delays.

Also with the Ryanair landings most of the time they are rough but it totally depends on the pilot and I kinda like rough landings they’re kinda fun
Doing a rough landing is a way for the pilot to slow the plane down. Some of the energy that would keep the plane moving forward is dissipated on impact, so the plane can get off the runway and to the stand more quickly and maybe gain a few minutes for disembarking and boarding for the next flight

I love it.

Yes they have made there airplanes better now and the led lights have you seen them?

I totally like Ryan Air tbh. Never had a really bad experience with them. Would fly with them over and over again
to everyone complaining about "hidden fees", you pay a pittance to fly and then proceed to not properly read the instructions so that is a 100% on you! Please pay 300 EUR for a flight with BA or KLM if you want "service", you NPC!
I have been flying Ryanair my whole life and I think it's funny how everyone is saying their landings are bad because it's just normal to me😅
Really excited now to experience a "smooth" landing for the first time😂
About 10 years ago 9:46 I forgot to print my boarding pass and Wizzair charged me £20 pounds
@@tudorrurac2173 same, from a serb
Some remarks on this video:
-Whether to board using the front or rear door is indicated on your boarding pass
-Lisbon airport is also always listed in Europe's worst airports, so obviously your experience also wasn't great because of that
-I'm 6'6 and take these type of flights on a monthly basis, so i can tell you the worst legroom is Wizz air, then comes Easyjet and Ryanair is the clear winner of low cost
-Never queue early => you'll never pay extra for carry-on luggage if overweight
Tbh with Ryanair the reason it was dirty was that Ryanair most of the time do rlly quick turn arounds like once I was boarding the plane they had ppl leaving at the other end so they rlly just don’t have time to clean and at the end of the day at least ur gonna go on ur holidays!!
Americans are so picky. What else do you want for 50 quid or something 😂
going to the wrong gate is 100% your fault, they tell you to check the boards. also, going to the wrong stairs is 100% your fault again.
Helpful tip: Never ever switch seats to the back, it is the MOST uncomfortable and less spacious.
I was just trying to be nice HAHA
she’s an enderly, jus trying to be nice 🤷♂
@@ericstrukAre you gay?
Think BA are also the same now
I personally love the wizz air livery and I really enjoyed this video!
I normally fly wizzair and it’s quite alr tbh
same
@@ALN012 ditto
I toke riner that had the onr of riner
If you have only flown on one airline, then you don't really know how bad or good it is compared to others.
mmmm😊
For Americans 1km going to terminal is hiking 😂😂
As an American that seems pretty normal, I’ve done a few times in Denver and other airports
Fly with them 7 or 8 times a year out of Stsnsted. Have done for years. Agree with every point you make.
Agree!😀 Some people want valet service on a subway train.
Hi Eric, I have a video idea, you should compare America's best airline vs Canada's best airline and see which is better
you read my mind because I had that planned already!
But wnt that cost way too much??
Coz u would be travelling in two best airlines?

I flew Wizz 6 weeks ago LGW-Faro, and it was perfectly fine. Would fly them again if I'm back in Europe for an extended time.
I flew wizz in February AGP-LTN and it was also perfectly fine. newer aircraft and they let me see the cockpit.
Awesome! Next airline you should review is easy jet. It is between low cost and medium price range. You should definitely check it out!
cool vid keep up the good work!! :)
Thanks, will do!
@@pauldunn5978 Working at an airport, wow you must be a true expert on landing aircraft.
@tortozza Sounds a tad sarcastic. You have no idea what I do, do you? So why the sarcasm?
I flew Wizz air twice and it was a really good airline
About the 'headrest advertisements': those are safety cards for your own safety, in case of an emergency situation on a Ryanair aircraft - which was told during the safety demonstration 😉🎉
He was talking about the advertisement above the safety instructions. Also having that in your face isn't much better either, as it is just stuck there the entire flight
Ryanair is actually way better than Wizzair
Bro bought low cost tickets expecting a business class experience and then blaming the airlines accordingly smh…
Frrrr
You were lucky. It all depends on the handling agent at the gate. Strictly speaking you should've been charged but you caught people on a good day! 😁
Is JetBlue’s first class your next video?😅
no but I will do it eventually
Thank you for making this video .I'm flying this summer to Crete with Ryanair and the video is helpful
I flew to and from Cyprus with Ryanair this past week and it was a fairly smooth experience for me personally. Hopefully you have a smooth experience to
WIZZ IS A LIFESAVER IT'S SUCH A SLAY AND DA FLIGHTS ARE GOOD 😭👌

KLM or Transavia ;)
For Ryanair/Wizzair; buying an isle seat will do the trick
It is also because in Canada, airports are under exclusive federal jurisdiction, may not receive any subsidy from a local government (how Ryanair often negotiates low fees or even indirect subsidies), and since 1995 are mandated to run a revenue-neutral operation. This means that there is a ~$20 fee that goes to the airport and a ~$8 security screening fee that is a fixed amount irrespective of airline.
Hey! Really love these videos, I had one question. What would you rate Emirates Economy out of 10?
10/10
As an Australian, my only short haul flight in Europe was on WizzAir from Bratislava to Warsaw. No issues with the service and no problems at the airport even with language barriers. Best of all the flight was significantly cheaper than any other airlanes and was easy to book online!
My reviews compared: mom + dad bookings since I’m 13
0:54- for us, that’s normal
2:29- wth is wrong. That’s so normal (for us)
3:10- it’s only in specific airport I’m pretty sure cuz those security scanners are expensive
6:40- why would they have PADDED HEADRESTS?! It’s not a long haul flight 😂
6:59 - that’s fair enough. I don’t really have a problem since im not 5ft8
7:09- WHY WOULD IT PULL OUT!? It’s a short haul flight 😂
8:35 - I can agree the landings are quite rough, but I’m used to it so it’s ok
That’s my opinions.
I love u eric I want to be a pilot when I grow up your inspiring
keep up the great work
This is so good only cuz it by the best UA-camr and you should try bahamasair from Miami to Nassau and back
I never knew about that airline but I totally should
Seriously the landing is fine - even 'full service airlines' charge you for food often and honestly I live in Dublin and fly Ryanair quite a bit and its good like people will just try and complain about them for no reason

Just flew with Wizzair from Copenhagen to Bucharest. Smooth as butter. Checkin was done automatically a few days before departure and I got the boarding pass automatically. Possibly the smoothest flight in decades.
