110 - Effects, Filters, and LUTs
A review of the various effects and LUTs at the fingertips of all PowerDirector users. At the introduction of this video, those are not traditional transitions being used but rather certain effects just to show some of the versatility of using these filters and effects.

In many ways we are spoilt with the range of effcts etc. that PD offers. Unfortunately, as you have already pointed out, a lot time is needed by the user to go through the many options on offer. And as again, as you have pointed out, assigning 'the good ones' as a favourite will save a lot of time in the future. However don't totally rely on these favourites, as over time, users will have new ideas and opportunities, so the occational lookback may well pay dividends for further creativity.
It's worth noting that some of these effects are pretty resource hungry, so ensure the specs of your PC are up to standard or you will experience serious lagging whilst editing.

Oh yes that is so true. Did you notice that the introduction to the video used effects instead of transitions. I did notice a slight blip in the audio response while editing and I think it even showed up in the final rendered version. Well, that's what I get for having 2 such resource hungry effects only 7 seconds apart.
