Charles Haddon (C.H.) Spurgeon (June 19, 1834 January 31, 1892) was a British Reformed Baptist preacher who remains highly influential among Christians of different denominations, among whom he is still known as the "Prince of Preachers." In his lifetime, Spurgeon preached to around 10,000,000 people, often up to 10 times a week at different places. His sermons have been translated into many languages. Spurgeon was the pastor of the New Park Street Chapel in London for 38 years. In 1857, he started a charity organization called Spurgeon's which now works globally. He also founded Spurgeon's College, which was named after him after his death.
Spurgeon was a prolific author of many types of works including sermons, an autobiography, a commentary, books on prayer, a devotional, a magazine, and more. Many sermons were transcribed as he spoke and were translated into many languages during his lifetime. Arguably, no other author, Christian or otherwise, has more material in print than C.H. Spurgeon.

I remember when I was using drugs and living a sinful life, one night the Holy Spirit said to me, "You know you're goin' to hell, right?" I sat up, grabbed a bible, and began to seek the LORD. That was 3 years ago. Have not looked back.

MY SAVIOR JESUS , I'll PRAISE YOU ALL MY DAYS! HOLY GHOST NEVER LEAVE ME , For YOU LIGHT THE ONLY PATH THAT I WALK ON THAT LEADS ME HOME! Amen. Keep Walking on THE PATH That LEADS YOU HOME! God Bless you, and I believe you. The Holy Spirit spoke to me in September of 2007 , he told me to remember Hoh River as it was, because it will never be the same. Hohriver Indian reservation, is where I'm from, so much had happened since then, and no, its not the same, place is changed forever. I'm an addict also, I'm in recovery now, and I'm in college for addiction studies, I'm going to commit my life to helping people overcome addiction and alcoholism. The night I decided to take control of my life , I'll never forget, because after that I began to have dreams about Port ANGELES, Washington, This is my home and where I reside now. I have so much to say about the Holy Spirit, and JESUS CHRIST, and God the Father. I have never wanted to get into Spurgeon's teachings because it was too in the past. But, as I move forward in hearing them, it's as if he's talking today. The narrator also helps to bring it to life and I'm just in love with God and thankful to Him that we have these sermons preserved! Thank you, Jesus!
When something is True with a capital T, it will always resonate and always remain fresh! Spurgeon is actually pretty recent in the Christian tradition :)

Best sermon I ever heard on the Holy Spirit. Notice Spurgeon says "you cannot BE a Christian and NOT believe in the Trinity" I have said the same thing on many occasions. Only a born again Christian would or could understand the Trinity. That is because the Holy Spirit reveals this to us After we have been saved. God bless.
I think I have the Holy Spirit......but I don't have the gift of tongues...so sometimes I'm not sure. I feel Him with me guiding me...teaching me.... I hope He never leaves me.

There is not one single scripture that teaches, indicates or instruct us to pray to the Holy Spirit. It is a fact that He is part of the Godhead Trinity and that He is a person. The Holy Spirit, indwells the believer, empowers, leads to all truth and righteousness. In the OT the Father indicated, promise the Son, the Son promise and gave us His Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit leads us to Jesus as the center figure of the Bible. I’m not an authority on the Trinity for I don’t think no person on earth can in totally understand & explain the Trinity in its fullness. Sturgeon is totally correct about the Holy Spirit. Nevertheless new Pentecostalism have exceeded the scriptures. With all the verses about the Holy Spirit; there is not one single verse , where a saint prays to the Holy Spirit. We pray to the Father, in the name of the Son(Jesus ) by the power of the Holy Spirit. The center figure is Christ. Jesus is the Vicar (representative) of the father as the Holy Spirit is the Vicar of Christ. God bless you.

What a powerful sermon from the real servant of God.
This message bought me back to the time I got baptised and filled by the Blessed Holy Spirit on the same evening. My understanding of the scriptures opened. A change happened. A beautiful peace entered in my heart..that comfort. My vessel was empty and the experience of the full, filling of the Holy Spirit within my vessel ,then straight away I began speaking in tongues. The Holy spirit bought to my attention even the things I thought of as a seeker when I was child/teenager before I accepted Christ Jesus as my personal Saviour. The best decision I made. Joy.. unspeakable joy..Wow! I would choose Jesus over and over again. The Holy Spirit teaches me to be and remain Holy in word and deed. Teaches me to pray..read..sing..to offer advice and pray for others. Most importantly speaking in a heavenly language to Our Abba Father when I Pray in Jesus name. I speak to the Holy Spirit for advice what to wear etc...or what to say in a difficult situations. Like the sermon mentions he has come to do a work. He has also come to make us Ready for Our Saviour Lord Jesus return. When you have the blessed Spirit..there Is a Holy change in you..the way we used to talk, way we used to dress, the company we keep..etc etc. No more is it.... I..it is Christ Jesus from now on.🙏

When you accept Christ you are changed completely and this is the work of the a Holy Spirit , I know I am not the same person at all and everyone can see it , they also shy away from you as well because the Devil cannot be in the presence of the Holy Spirit .Things in the World that I tolerated...now I cannot bear .....it is like a physical pain to me whereas I wouldn’t have bothered before ......how much more is God pained by our sins . Repent while you have time .....soon the door will be closed and you will be judged with the full judgment of God .

My phone was activated because I had been listening to a Spiritual video. Seemed I fell asleep and found myself in a class answering questions about the Holy Spirit, I woke to hear this lecture on explanations of Who the Holy Spirit is. Brethren, I should have attended Bible Studies tonight but didn't. However, I got more than enough from this lecture. I will have to listen again up to the point when I woke up. Thank God for inspiring this speaker , giving him the wisdom to impart this information and enlighten our Understanding.. As a child of God, I have the Holy Spirit . Greater is he that is in us than they that' are in the world. I am in total agreement. Amen

I've been saved 40 yrs and raised my children who are now in their 40s to love, embrace and understand Who Holy Spirit is but this teaching gave me even greater understanding and I will never be the same. I sometimes wonder what it would have been like to have heard Spurgeon in real life, to know what his voice sounded like, to hear the earnestness in his voice.

Wow! Late 1800s he talks about the wonder that his sermon is about to go out in PRINT!! But does he marvel that HIS sermon will go out? No. He pleads that all will pray that The Holy Spirit will work through those words.

Amen! HOLY SPIRIT is our Counselor. The Counselor means Paracletos, the person who is with us and counsels for us. It also means the teacher who gives grace and takes care of us. All these expressions show us that the Holy Spirit is the person who really wants to have close fellowship with you.
