I've seen this before l feel that this young man was saving things that mean something from his childhood. How did he lose his storage unit to where it didnt show any drug paraphernalia just nostalgic items? It's a shame to have his personal items violated, makes me sad.
When it comes to collecting, condition is everything. Some mint in-the-box marbles from the 1930s can sell for as much as $5,000 (the boxes are rare), and a single marble can sell for $30 if perfect. Proceeds to overlook the marbles...
They are 45 rpm records. They usually had one hit song and 1 lesser known song from groups like The Beatles. They were sold about the same time as 3 31/3 records. They were not sold after tape recorders came on the market in the 1970's.
That’s cedar chest is probably the most valuable thing you have because they don’t make them that way anymore. They usually use different woods that aren’t that valuable.
Marbles that are glass are worth money people collect them cause they are old new ones are made of acrylic or something. LOVE your show keep on treasure hunting
The glass bottles and the spice tins would make a really cool display shelf in your kitchen Amber, just give it a little of that classic colonial kitchen look. Old glass bottles are actually becoming more valuable since so many companies have gone to plastic. My husband made glass bottles for 29 years then they closed the factory 3 years ago. That place had been in business since the early 40s, he called to tell me they got closing notices and I thought it was an April fools joke because that's what day they did it. Old medicine bottles made of glass are worth holding on to as well.
This is so relatable - Ed remembering Danielle but not recognizing you, Dan. Before my Dad passed away, we spent a beautiful day together. We visited a lot of places full of great memories and had a nice lunch together. It was a really good day. My Dad seemed very happy and "present" and was remembering everything very clearly. After taking him home, he told my stepmom, "I don't know who that lady was, but I had a good time." I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.😏
I am not a hoarder, but I definitely have stuff I need to declutter and toss or donate. (My entire garage and attic!) As a former art teacher I also saved supplies and how to books. Watching you unload that storage unit I keep wondering why the owners didn’t throw away what’s obviously crap and donate usable kitchen ware, etc. I guess I am the pot calling the kettle black! This video has definitely inspired me to let go of all the random stuff I don’t even remember. What a great lesson for me. Now I know what I am going to be doing this weekend. Thanks so much!
😂same! I've been an artist and art teacher....lately I've gotten into mixed media and junk journal making. It's helping me repurpose things, but I'm still too slow to throw things away, bc now they can have 'another purpose'. 😂
Don’t ignore those 45 records, there could be some profit, there. Have an older person go through them to see if there are any good ones. Wish we lived close, I’d do it for you. I’m older than dirt and use to play 45s , constantly. That was in the 1960’s.
Seeing all the rocks and older stuff you would find in the ground the pads could be for cleaning same as the swabs it’s crazy you have never met someone and you assume this person is a “druggie” smh
As a recovering addict the Brillo pads r usually used inside the pipe that was found in the daily bread book. The way things were packed makes sense to an addict. That’s based off my own experience.
The first object (the long thin "rock) that you pulled out of the purple bag is a petrified rib bone, so not an antler lol. I'm into archeology and studied it years ago so I've seen them a lot. It's probably from a small deer or canine of some sort. If you look on the one end you can see it looks like it might be a big hollow. I'd take it to a science/archaeology department at a local University (the closest one I know of, I think, is Athens, UGA, but there could be another one closer than that, in maybe Maryland or DC) and get confirmation on that and if I'm right, see if you can get it dated. The others are just rocks, but take them with you too for confirmation as well because I could be wrong. It's a Stole, just like the other one is a cape. I think they're either mink or weasel lol. That's a very old lightbulb...
Also, I believe those round ones are fossils. I take all the rocks to the archaeologist Department don't just tell you what everything is. And they will carbonate it. My parents had 10 acres on the top of a mountain. As we know mountains were once the Ocean floors. When they were digging their driveway thing uncovered shells and fossils. My brother took it to Syracuse University and they dated it to 250 million years old. I wish we could share pictures here I have it. There were tons of them, though.
These videos, and the 'auction' TV shows, are often interesting in what they turn up. But they're also rather sad and depressing when you consider that they may contain someone's whole life, and there may be some personally tragic reasons for them coming up for sale - might be a death, might be loss of a home, might be loss of a job, might be they're serving a prison sentence (not judging, but seems likely in this case). Oh, I trust you also checked the lottery tickets in case they had won something that wasn't claimed yet?
All those tooth brushes and paintbrushes could be used to clean off the "rocks", which are likely not "rocks" at all. Could be quartz, meteorites, fossils, ancient tools... The Tums could be used to clean them, I think. The "clear glass" lamp could also be crystal, which you can tell by the weight and the sound it makes when you lightly hit it with a spoon or something... which is more valuable usually than glass.
what you called a 'cape' is a fox STOLL.. possibly mink (or by the face, maybe sable?) it wraps around the shoulders over a nice outfit or evening dress, very chic for a woman to own in the 5Os/6Os.. and since it seems a mans unit, this is possibly the last thing he hung onto from his mother or grandmother.. whoever had this unit was clearly a drug addict.. . the 'rocks' could be gemstone rough..! like opal, crystals, agate, garnet, possibly amethyst.. all are semi-precious (the only precious are emerald, ruby, sapphire and diamond).. the rough can be sold in a combined lot easily, if thats what they are.. . lastly, without getting into legalities, the little gun is worth more than you think.. it looked in great shape! and its a nickel finish, ld say easily $1OO.. . p.s. no freakin wayyy lol
The big box is actually a “hope chest”. Young women would start filling it with items for use after they got married. Usually had hand made items like afghans, linens, etc and wall hanging that were embroidered.
It’s also probably has red cedar on the inside to repel moths and bugs. I know about red cedar because we live in the middle of red cedar country, Bradleyville Mo. We cut and saw cedar for years. Sold to a closet lining company. Smells great.
NO FREAKING WAY!!! Yep that was a Crack Pipe in the daily bread!! And the brillo pad is used as a filter in the glass Crack Pipe. I really enjoyed the video! Those Suboxone straps are definitely worth some loot. $20-$30 a piece
@@jacqulinehart8844 yes!! Definitely strong stuff. It's the 'buprenorphine' in it. I was on them for awhile to stay off heroin. Been clean six years now and loving life. It was more of a joke when I said he could sell them.

This is definitely a drug dealer… just straight addicts don’t have this many belongings left, especially ones that are worth anything lol. All the random valuables are probably how addicts have had to pay him over the years… and THATS why addicts don’t have this many belongings LOL!
I get the feeling the drug dealer was small time, living at home, doing some other sinister stff. Dad had passed away, mom kept all the stuff for the home life memories. Guy goes to prison, some random family member puts all this stuff in storage in case the drug dealer gets out.
First and foremost no fricken way and my older sister had a drug problem n beat it from taking suboxen but I hope u guys threw it all away bcus they treat it like any other drug n that wouldn't be good. Live those old paintbrushes. Those foam ones die at 6 months.. to our interestingly enthusiastic. And that makes me smile. I needed that this afternoon. It’s been a rough week for everybody in the country and this is a year or two ago. So this is fun. Tuesday 4/30/2024.. that I dictated this and didn’t proof of service got too many disgusting words in it. Please forgive me. That kind of an afternoon in Florida.
Also, if your having a yard sale check all the pants pockets to be sure you don’t sell them to anyone who will find something illegal just trying to be helpful ❤
I love how buying the storage units it’s like a chest roulette because you never really know it could be in there. It could just be a bunch of garbage bags and it also could be like bunch of money like you guys found in this video.
That is a Lane Chest. It is an antique. They were bought as hope chests for young girls to keep things to use when they got married. Depending on the age and model, it has potential to be extremely valuable. It is a collectable at auction. Check it out before you blow it off! 😮
I couldn't stop myself from thinking how sad the lives of the people on drugs who put their stuff in storage and go to jail. A collector of bottles and fossils obviously had an interesting life at one point. But why bother to pay to store lighters old jeans and highlighters. Really sad. At least your light personality helps to keep it up. It's a good snapshot of society and interesting to see nonetheless
I guessed someone storages all those stuffs because in a certain time of their lives there is a hope to gathering together and start over. Seems that person was consume in drugs. So sad!!
Last chest is what we called a “hope chest”. Used to get those around 16 years old. Things for married life would be stored there until you left home……
They put soap in the tins to keep the drug dogs from smelling 😳 this unit is freaking me out. The condoms were for "transporting" illegal substances... And the fact the you guys are so innocent is refreshing.... I am too I've just watched a lot of gang shows and I've known people who used🤦♀️
I am a criminal defense lawyer and I am just cracking up at the stuff he is finding. I knew immediately what the soap and condoms were for. But, you are right. He needs a boomer with him to explain some of this stuff. I was surprised he didn’t have a clue what the furs were. And when he is opening this stuff, why doesn’t he sort and toss while doing it? It seems pretty inefficient and he is just making more work for himself.
I guess with my minor case of OCD, it drives me nuts when you’re sorting through stuff and just toss things here and there without reclosing the holders they came in, having practically no system, discard items without giving them more than a brief glance, etc. My bad I guess. Those two furs will be worth something.
The "stole cape" does look like genuine mink, which could be worth over 500.00 and without even putting it in a bag to protect the real fur, you crumbled it and threw it onto the truck floor!!!??? WHY? I'm guessing that you don't come across Fur anything very often. Not only are those capes valuable, they are also sensitive and need to be treated carefully🥲
Problem is it's not politically correct to wear fur anymore. It's too bad because my mink coat was so warm in prairie winters. And there was a fox farm and a mink ranch not far from where I lived. Raised for clothing. I'm of two minds about this issue. Many people earned a living by farming in summer and trapping in winter. And people go on about the seal pup cull in eastern Canada. The seal eats it's weight in fish every day. Supplies of fish are dramatically reduced because the cull was reviled by so many.
The first one of these I have ever watched. Made me very sad as I became aware of the little things around my house that I have collected over the years. They would have no value to anyone else but our valuable memories to places times, and people that give me comfort. This was a sad experience.
Yeah. Every time I leave my home, I end up spending the entire day checking rocks. There are so many so since I always check every rock, I barely have time to even eat. There aren't anymore rocks on the surface within a 1 mile radius so as long as I don't leave town, I can function normally. A lot of neighbors are upset with me because of it. It's hard to get the ones on property line because people get upset so I have to be sneaky. Sometimes I wish I didn't always feel the need to check them.
This was a very interesting unit. The bottles may be of value I would check them out. The "rocks" in the Crown Royal bad look more like bones to me. Some of the older marbles can be of value as well. Love the videos and thanks for sharing.
@@TreasureHuntingWithJebus all I can say is check everything out that you have no idea about could be worthwhile it could be worthless but check good luck good hunting
NO FREAKING WAY!!! That unit was such a random mix match if items. The cedar chest is beautiful. Refinished and it would be beautiful in your new home. Great video. Thanks for sharing.
No freaking way! All those rocks! Many of them looked like fossils and maybe old Indian tools. I'd have all of them checked out. That mink stole may be worth something. Not bad for 120. TFS Hugs
No freakin way Jebus your so rough with stuff you make me nervous a lot of the glass stuff you find is worth money if you dont chip it but you two really do good thing just keep it up
NO FREAKING WAY I'd check on the rocks. Might be worth something. Wow weird unit. Still fun to watch you two. I like the civil war stuff. Good luck with it. You guys are living the life. It is interesting for me 🤔 to see what are in those units. Yes.... what is going on with this unit. Lol.
The old mink wrap probably belonged to one's grandmother Including the old cedar chest in the back. I believe the chest is not sellable because they pose a safety risk to young children getting locked into them. A lot of that personal stuff (bric-a-brac) in that shed wasn't worth being in storage in the first place and should have been tossed.💅💄💊
Jeez, you made me a nervous Nellie going thru this guy's stuff. I kept thinking you were gonna find a gun or get a high from handling all those medicine bottles... Wish you the best!!!
Don't overlook the value of that cedar chest! If its not cedar veneer it could be worth quite a lot of $$$. I'd check with a museum or art historian before asking an antique dealer.
I can't imagine watching them pack. Quick, grab an item from each room for each box! That is the most randomly packed I've ever seen a storage unit. No GUESS what's in the next one...No Frickin Way! LOL
Valkyrie.......I've seen that name somewhere before. In a book I read several years ago, I think. Can't remember the name of it, but I remember it was a very good book. One of a series I was reading. I need to go back and read it again. I'm sure I have it stored in my tablet library. Maybe I can do that after Christmas. I used to read all the time, ALL the time, at the expense of my house keeping chores. But, I have the cutest little reading nook right at the top of my stairs that just calls me to sit a spell and read.
I moved into my grandma's house and I can confidently say the random stuff, stuffed in random stuff is definitely something old people do. And she inherited all of her mother's stuff and brought into the house and it gets even weirder the older they get.
It's called a 'cedar chest' and depending on the brand, could be worth something. I hope u check with a general antiques dealer for that chest and alot of that stuf. f
You can't resell them because they are a safety hazard to young children who can become locked inside of them. I have two full sized cedar chests - one belonged to my mother and the other was given to me. They are also known as a Hope Chest. They were used by young engaged women to store items to use after they became married and set up housekeeping.

That's why so many of us who commented on this video feel that sadness and his loss- most of us have been in that same sinking boat.

When it comes to collecting, condition is everything. Some mint in-the-box marbles from the 1930s can sell for as much as $5,000 (the boxes are rare), and a single marble can sell for $30 if perfect.
Proceeds to overlook the marbles...
Woo, am I old. “Little records”? The gentleman has no idea what a stole is? The 2nd trunk is called a Hope Chest.
If nicely restored, the hope chest is the most valuable thing in the unit.
Cool idea!

After taking him home, he told my stepmom, "I don't know who that lady was, but I had a good time."
I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.😏
No freaking way. Plus, the furs are what a lady puts around her neck. It keeps her warm and makes her look rich.
I am not a hoarder, but I definitely have stuff I need to declutter and toss or donate. (My entire garage and attic!)
As a former art teacher I also saved supplies and how to books.
That's what all hoarders say!!

Jebus, you found my marbles, I lost my marbles a long time ago, and you just found them. LOL But then again we all lose our marbles once in awhile

Don’t ignore those 45 records, there could be some profit, there. Have an older person go through them to see if there are any good ones. Wish we lived close, I’d do it for you. I’m older than dirt and use to play 45s , constantly. That was in the 1960’s.
We know they have value, we will end up putting them in our live auction.

9 years, 16 offenses. I hope they somehow could make it out of the addiction.
The brillo pads are used for filters in drug pipes and the cotton swabs are used for filters in syringes /needles. Definitely a druggie unit!
@@residualkitty1665 Not to mention the bottle of Suboxone that drug addicts use to get off of drugs.
@@residualkitty1665 do you have more information to give? It's interesting
@Wood Jeeter no but I NEVER judge someone without meeting them that’s a huge problem these days
That's pretty cool, thanks for the info!
@@TreasureHuntingWithJebus Your welcome :)
Stole...My mom told me about old stuff 😁
Yes to all
Guy wouldn’t know a fossil if it bit him
These videos, and the 'auction' TV shows, are often interesting in what they turn up.
I agree with you Gordo WG 1WG 1
There are some gems in there. Lots of stuff to sell...way more than what you paid for the unit.
There is an hour of my life I'll never get back
Thanks for the warning. I’ll leave now. Hehehe
They’re dumb don’t know what a mink stole is. LOL
The big box is actually a “hope chest”. Young women would start filling it with items for use after they got married. Usually had hand made items like afghans, linens, etc and wall hanging that were embroidered.
Oh cool!
It’s also probably has red cedar on the inside to repel moths and bugs. I know about red cedar because we live in the middle of red cedar country, Bradleyville Mo. We cut and saw cedar for years. Sold to a closet lining company. Smells great.
I agree -- Hope chest, made of red cedar. If it IS red cedar, get it appraised.

It is illegal to sell them because they pose a safety risk of young children becoming locked inside of them just like an old refrigerator.

Its kinda weird that we know that

Wow didn't think or know that, good job and very interesting
This guy throws away half of the good stuff. He needs to bring a baby boomer with him he has no idea what half the stuff he's looking at is.
WORD THATS LIKE FROM THE 50’z
Always check rocks! They could be holding a raw gemstone in them!
Great easy watching content yet exciting content.. glad I found you guys 🥰

I used to read all the time, ALL the time, at the expense of my house keeping chores. But, I have the cutest little reading nook right at the top of my stairs that just calls me to sit a spell and read.
