Can we give a bit of respect to alicia keys. She is putting up one hell of a fight with kelly, especially for her to bw sitting down at the piano and most of her clips. You try hitting anything above an E while sitting.
@ThePianoguy89 Yes, Alicia kills when it comes to low and middle upper chest. I didn't mean to include the E5s in it. I was going with anything above the E5. Her E5s are amazing. And alot of the ones above could be said that they were hit with a neutral larynx like the F#5 in heartburn, F5 in Call me and a bit of the G#5 =D
Love both of these powerhouse belters! Alicia is at her most comfort at A4-E5. Not all of her E5's are pushed. Her E5's at 5:50 and 6:02 are great! Both of them have that raw sound that I like! Both of them also have beautiful timbres with that kind of smokey and sultry sound! I love both, so it's not easy to decide. Very talented ladies indeed!
Kelly wins! I like Alicia's voice, only like, nothing more than this. Alicia has a not-too-good technique, and if you compare it with Kelly's ones nowadays, you'll see that Kelly wins by far. It's not too unfair, like other videos of vocal battle that we see with Kelly and other artists, but she wins that, easily! And you, more one awesome video, congrats! PS: I don't know why, but even if I have seen a note hitted by Kelly before, I see it again and I will stay surprised everytime I see it!
@stardusth2o Thanks buddy. Alicia sort of belts outside her range that's why she needs to pull her larynx upwards to belt E5s and so on (even a few of the D5s and Eb5s).
@VaunTV Oh the low register issue. Thing is Kelly rarely explores anything bellow the F#3. Luckily we got a F3 from 2011 but even if I do showcase the ones we have. they all always be repeated (usually from the same song). So, since people are rarely interested in low notes, I keep my attention on the belts and head. i'll try to include them next time ok? :) Don't get me wrong, I agree with everything you said. Alicia is a rare talent. She's amazing with anything in the middle upper register.
Both very great, but very different voices. Kelly, being a soprano (to Alicia's contralto) has the clear advantage in this battle, and destroys the competition.
@kellyclarksonismygod Oh, okay. Cool. I wonder why Kelly doesn't showcase more of her lower registry? I'm sure she can hit an E3 maybe a D3. Who knows. Anyway, great vid!
@WhitneyElizabethH Her belts are not flat in this comparison because I made sure I've picked the best one and she is still an amazing singer. She made have a little technical glitches, but some of these belts show how her placement is good.
@iStan4JoAndTK Alicia Keys does not strain all the time and her E5's and especially her G#5 is amazing! Her voice and belting tones were much clearer when she was younger.
hmmm??? maybe raspy kelly clarkson and shaky alcia keys should do art together and make a blues rnb record together that would sound great with alicia keys soulful voice and kelly clarkson's rocker voice....
@WhitneyElizabethH Well I didn't want to either and what makes me upset is when some people discredit her vocal ability. Me being the fan that I am of hers who had actually watched and analyzed her live performances, I knew times where she wasn't singing flat or off-key. She does not always do that and yes she still can sing. So please not try to be overly judgmental and be fair.
@WhitneyElizabethH No, there was no story to begin with. What I don't like is when people trying to be pretentious. I never wanted argue with you, I just wanted to make a point. That's all.
Alicia: B4, Eb5, F5, G5 Kelly: Bb4, C5, C#5, D5, E5, F#5, G#5 | F#5, G5, G#5, Bb5, B5 Tie: A4 Question.... Why didn't you do the lower registry? I mean, if you do chest & head, why not do lower? Alicia actually has a really nice voice, just bad technique. She over sings & strains for notes she doesnt have mainly the A4 - E5 area in order for them to seem more powerful. Her goal is to be a "powerhouse belter" which she could be, if she'd relax a bit. Her lower registry slays. Kelly is amazing.
I can't choose coz I love 'em both! My talented vocalists will be Kelley Clarkson, Alicia Keys, Joss Stone, LeAnn Rimes and Jessica Simpson. They're much better than the overrated voices of Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera! Britney lipsyncs and Christina sounds to me like her throat is always being put on a meat shredder hitting those high notes but she's got a very nice low registers.
Kelly wins, no doubt. gotta love her!
i love Alicia but Kelly slays vocally, she is damn near flawless. appreciate both :)
Can we give a bit of respect to alicia keys. She is putting up one hell of a fight with kelly, especially for her to bw sitting down at the piano and most of her clips. You try hitting anything above an E while sitting.
ALICIAAAAA😍
Nice job :D

What song is she singing at 4:20? I always forget what it is.
wow Kelly is amazing
what song is kelly singing in her g#5 headvoice in the studio
i prefer kelly especially from E5 and upwards, though both of them are amazing and have some raw timbre
They both have amazing vocals! But i just love Kelly Clarkson!
KELLY!!!
alicia is good too, but come on, she's no kelly.
I love them both so they both won. They need to collaborate one day
alicia goes too much outside of she's tessitura, kelly has more easy on the upper chest, also kelly has a better technique.
Kelly easily. Alicia is a great musician but thats it. Her belts are like flat most of the time. Kelly wins this easily
Kelly wins! I like Alicia's voice, only like, nothing more than this. Alicia has a not-too-good technique, and if you compare it with Kelly's ones nowadays, you'll see that Kelly wins by far. What was kelly singing at 4:46? Plz and thank you :)
Both very great, but very different voices. Kelly, being a soprano (to Alicia's contralto) has the clear advantage in this battle, and destroys the competition.
Up to the mountain
alicia tends to shout
both are equally talented. I honestly think they should do somethin together someday. It would be awesome to see what they come up with.
@kellyclarksonismygod Oh, okay. Cool. I wonder why Kelly doesn't showcase more of her lower registry? I'm sure she can hit an E3 maybe a D3. Who knows. Anyway, great vid!
Kelly makes it looks so easy....and def can sustains the notes...damn...she's a total great vocalist bless her...
@musicguy713 She's a Contralto, it's natural to have to push to hit those high notes. But yeah, that G#5 was surprisingly nice!
@kellyclarksonismygod Thank you so much! Kelly wins by the way, Alicia is good but she can't really compete against Kelly. =D
What song is Kelly singing at 3:30
@ThePianoguy89
Cool Story bro. Anything els?
@daiell09 Yes, Alicia seems to strain with anything above the D5 but she's no doubt a great vocalist. Thanks for commenting =]
AWESOME VIDEO, :) Alicia wins A4 - C#5.. D5 tie.. Kelly wins Eb5 - G#5 xD Head voice, kelly wins on this.. although alicia was close!
@kalakalachuchu It's a song that she made on the spot in an Australian interview :)
I love Alicia and Kelly! They both are my faves! I'm glad Kelly fans are not hard on her like the fans of Christina or Beyonce.
@WhitneyElizabethH Her belts are not flat in this comparison because I made sure I've picked the best one and she is still an amazing singer. She made have a little technical glitches, but some of these belts show how her placement is good.
@EDDsp2009 That's so sweet, thanks! I try to include different sets everytime I make a new video =]
kelly's A4 is F#4, i love the F#5 at 8:32 (LOL), and the F#5s for Sober ♥
@mAnNyElLaTiNo33 Thank you!
@domininicc Why not? If they are both great artists the more reason to be compared! Anyhoo, I did this as a request. Someone asked me =]
@KellyCSuperFan1 Thank you!
@KellyCSuperFan1 It's "Why" by Annie Lennox :)
She definitely will!
@WhitneyElizabethH Thanks for commenting xD
Have you started the video yet?
@kellyclarksonismygod No problem!
@BajcoTheSinger Kelly's voice is raspy too and Alicia's voice can be sweet too and powerful, but that's what I love about both of them.
@VocalEyez Kelly's vocals are AMAZINGLY underrated.
@ThePianoguy89
Well I'm not ready to get in another showdown with you because look what happened last time. :P
@WhitneyElizabethH Well I didn't want to either and what makes me upset is when some people discredit her vocal ability. Me being the fan that I am of hers who had actually watched and analyzed her live performances, I knew times where she wasn't singing flat or off-key. Kelly wins, alicia raises her larynx ALOT. Suprisingly on that G#5 she seemed neutral lol.
@WhitneyElizabethH No, there was no story to begin with. What I don't like is when people trying to be pretentious. I never wanted argue with you, I just wanted to make a point. That's all.
@IceMoonPetal Haha, no worries. I honestly don't mind =] That I Would be Good / Use Somebody
Alicia is mezzo and Kelly a soprano.
kelly wins...but alicia is great also
love revival
kelly
sorry but kelly is a vocal monster
Kelly :)
I prefer Kelly.
@ThePianoguy89
Lol.
@kellyclarksonismygod
No :( I still have to buy a usb to clean out my comp
@WhitneyElizabethH Well there's nothing to "laugh at loud" about!
@TerraLogan39 The Promise
Alicia: B4, Eb5, F5, G5
Kelly: Bb4, C5, C#5, D5, E5, F#5, G#5 | F#5, G5, G#5, Bb5, B5
Tie: A4
Question....
@hessounusual95 Love Revival =]
@hessounusual95 watch?v=CyX8qr09C74 :)

They're both average....... Now lets move on to better singers
...and the better singers are...?
