same as what I asked in the older vid, how do I hide the own3d bot and the stream elements bot on the "onscreen" chat box but not on the twitch chat

absolute legend, was struggling so much to find a chat option that showed 7tv emotes since latest update would only show just the text.. the stream elements option worked like a charm, much appreciated

For anyone trying to do this and running into the problem of it not displaying in OBS. Check your advanced settings and turn on or off your Hardware Acceleration option.

it's a one card combo because if you open it you can one card combo. the reason this is so good for a lot of decks is that there are a ton of decks out rn that can get to their full boards with only 2 or 3 cards in hand at the start of the turn. that's also why hand traps are so prevalent because decks can now afford to be bogged down by drawing 2 or even 3 handtraps in their opening hand and still do their full combo. when you consider this, going neg 1 by banishing one of said hand traps who don't add to your combo anyway is not really a huge deal if it means you can fix your hand to be exactly how you want it to get to your win con. so no... this is not a bad option, even when you do have other options you can also use this one

Any idea why it doesn't work? tried elements, tried labs, neither of these work. labs atleast give me a see thru chatbox, but i can't really see anything i type, elements don't give me anything at all ;/

I haven't tested it live on a game yet, but from what I've read, it only shows up in OBS Studio, not overlaid on your game. So, you'll still need 2 monitors to see chat or have to switch back and forth.
If you want it over your 1 monitor like you're saying then you'll need to do this ua-cam.com/video/1suA41QBKus/v-deo.html
When i do the first method, it says i need to login through tools, but uhhh, its not in tools, ive already uninstalled and reinstalled, help?
I'd recommend using one of the other methods if you encounter any issues

Trying the second option and my chat isn’t showing in OBS. It was working yesterday and I streamed today and noticed the chat not working. No idea what happend because I didn’t change a single setting?

One question : Can the streamelements chat overlay be used for UA-cam live chat?
I think you might be able to if you link your yt account to streamelements but not 100% sure on that
I sure hope you reply to late comments lol I used stream elements and got it to work fine, the issue is I have 2 different Scenes 1 for just chatting and 1 for gaming. The chat box is different in each. I thoooought I created 2 different chat boxes but turns out it just updated the first one I made so now they are both the same. How do i get them to stay different formats? I hope this makes sense.
I'd recommend making a second browser source for the other chat

Thanks for this, I have a quick question. When using OWN3D chat, is there any way to set a timer for the chat to go away? Mine just hangs around forever, I'd like it to vanish after a bit
Not 100% sure but if you use the streamlabs option you can do that

Make sure you're logged into Twitch within the OBS Stream settings, then go to your docks tab at the top and hit chat

Why is it when I click on Chat in the Docks, instead of a chat box opening, the website Owned opens in the side instead? I can't figure it out! thanks!
Its because you have the own3d pro plugin. You can still see the normal chat dock if you have your Twitch account connected to obs via the stream settings

bruh, one hint I would've appreciated in hindsight is saving all of your scenes before installing the plug-in because the plug-in will delete all and overwrite it with its own presets
no it will not, everything is saved under your scene collections tab at the top of obs studio

Hi! Thank you for all your videos, they've been SUPER helpful! For this one, I've followed all the steps for Streamelements but for some reason, I keep receiving alerts behind the text of my chat box. It displays huge bubble letters of an alert that says I have gained followers and subscribers that don't exist. I get the alert notification sound and everything. I've tried deleting and re-pasting the browser URL, searching UA-cam for similar issues, etc., and cannot find a solution. It's very frustrating. If you have any suggestions, I'd appreciate the help! xo
Did you accidentally add an alert box source behind your chat box by chance?
@@CpawsMusic no 😩 to add more context, the text box dimensions are 1920 x 1080 (to fit the screen) but the mystery text it is somehow cut off. in the beginning the text matched my actual alerts - “misty78 followed you” but as i’ve mentioned, now they’re random user names and actions.
@@nomfwanime It sounds like you may have an accidental added alert box added to the chat box source in streamlabs. Try making a new chat overlay and see if that fixes it. Otherwise you can simply use the Streamlabs method instead

I cannot seem to get this to work on Streamelements via regular chat. The only text that will pop up is from the browser test and not any actual chats.
I'd double check that you have everything connected properly
@@CpawsMusic yeah I changed my username and forgot to do that in my obs/stream elements so I have to change those to what they are now and I’ll check back in

4:42 - So I've been messing with the chat settings and I can't seem to get rid of the box behind the chat message. I can get rid of most of the box but there's still a white outline of the box that I cannot get rid of. Do you know how to fix this?
Edit: Found it! You have to open the editor and go to the CSS tab. Then scroll down to .user message (it's in green) and then at box shadow change the 1px to 0px.

You need to be logged into Twitch in your obs studio steam settings

Hi. Nice video! I have a question... I have own3d pro plugin installed in the OBS, so when I click "Docks" and "Chat" I just get the pop out window with own3d pro site. I wanna stream on UA-cam

@@CpawsMusic Maybe I didn't phrase it correctly. Instead of obs oppening my Chat dock, it opens a dock with own3d site. There is no chat box when I click on it.

with the third option, can anyone help me with messages from bots not appearing? in the javascript i was able to get commands to stop disappearing but my chatbot messages dont show up in the display.
I'd recommend sending an email over to StreamElements

Totally! You can go to your twitch chat on twitch.tv then go to the chat settings and click popout chat, then copy that url and go to obs docks tab and create a new custom browser dock and paste that url in :D
@@CpawsMusic thank you! I found out because I deleted obs because it downloaded in a different file then what you said it should be in, that everything reset and my twitch wasn't link anymore which is why my chat wasn't appearing, thank you for the help though!

Log into OBS with your Twitch Account
how do you set up the borders so that twitch chat stays to the left? When I went to set mine up, it positioned twitch chat to the middle of the screen
You can adjust in the chat settings in whatever method you're using. Otherwise you can simply just move the chat box :)

The issue was I was logged in with my Streamlabs id instead of Twitch. It works now. @@CpawsMusic Thanks for replying.

@@CpawsMusic Right now I have the Own3d Chat working, although I think the Streamlabs Chatbox is the nicest option with the different style options and animation. I really wanted to use Streamlabs Chatbox. I found one "solution" to disable hardware acceleration, but it didn't work for me.

so i watched this and still cant firgure out how to change the size of the chat box in the dock. it will only let me move it up to make it smaller not down to make it bigger
You can click the settings cog icon in the Twitch Chat dock > chat appearance > increase font size etc. || or you can simply right click the chat dock and zoom in

For some reason no matter what I do the chatbox through streamlabs won't appear on OBS studio. I looked up a bunch of fixes, made sure everything is connected properly. I can see the messages in the chatbox from twitch and my streamlabs is connected as well as my OBS to twitch. But no chat shows up on OBS when I type in my channel or in restream for that matter. I have no clue what to do. >.

I'm not sure if this is the same issue I was experiencing, but it sounds like it is. Check you advance settings and turn on or off you hardware acceleration setting. That did the trick for me.

When I downloaded own3d package I lost every thing I had already set up. how do I connect the two scenes together? I can switch them in scenes collection but I need them all in one place, I'm new to this.

Go to the top and click on Scene Collections tab
@@CpawsMusic I did find it but I just left them. I don’t know if I can transfer scenes to different collections or save them and add them to other ones
I don't think you can merge them unfortunately but you can switch between different collections @@SKP_Joos
