Moonsorrow is unique - i love this song- actually the whole album is really good
Moonsorrow are one of the greatest viking folk metal bands ever, and one of the most interesting finnish acts. They have a lot of epic themes. Check out Sankarihauta.

@@epicans6065 Lots of us Finns do have a "viking heritage". 1. Lots of Finns have atleast some Swedish ancestors. I'm a Finnish speaking Finn, but about 70-80% of my ancestry is from Sweden. (most moved to Finnish area in 16th century) 2. It's pretty sure that many Finns raided east together with Swedish vikings. 3. Finnish/Finnic people also lived in the areas that are today Sweden and Norway.
Moonsorrow has lots of songs about Norse mythology, so I can understand why someone would call them viking metal. For example Kylän päässä, Jotunheim, Suden tunti, Mimisbrunn... I still agree it's kind of annoying when pretty much every folk/pagan metal band is called viking metal these days. Norse mythology/ viking era is one of the subjects Moonsorrow sings about, but not all of them.
This here is my all time favorite band, you might want to check out translations for the lyrics, their shit has amazing lyrics, it's kind of sad that english speakers will miss most of the weight of it all though. This whole album is fucking AMAZING so is verisäkeet and Hävitetty, this band has yet to produce a bad album. Sure they have some weaker discs but that's just if you think of it on the moonsorrow standards, on pretty much any other bands standards they are still stellar discs.
