My experience is pretty similar to yours. Had mine since late 2022 and probably have around 5k rounds through it. No issues up until last week when I had a blast baffle strike on my 14.5. Not sure if it was my fault or the can but I put in a warranty claim with Dead Air the same day, got an email within 20 minutes with a shipping label and it’s supposed to get to them tomorrow. They state 50-60 days for repair so we’ll see. I’m honestly not upset about the baffle strike because I know they’ll fix it and it’ll come back basically brand new. As far as performance everything you say is on point. It sounds great despite its size. I run it with a revival defense atlas r hub mount which puts the entire can at just over 5” long. The backpressure is very apparent like you said. These days I pretty much use it on my 11.5 which has a silencer dedicated barrel and a 5.56 AK with a KNS piston turned all the way open. It’s definitely useable on other guns but the gas can be a bit much. I’ve also found the silencer co gas defeating charging handle to be excellent at mitigation of gas. They got a bad rap (rightfully so) with their older version that had the pins falling out and the o ring would get ripped out of the channel. I got the redesigned one with screws and have had no issues with the o ring after thousands of rounds. I would not say I have regrets over buying it. However if I had to make the choice again I’d probably go with the Velos, even though I don’t think that was released at the time I bought the Sierra. I have been contemplating a Flow 5.56K as well.
