Great video Ben, you showed more passion and knowledge about the distillery than the senior sight manager. Well done mate, it must have been tough, sitting with a diageo marketing man.

Ben this was truly a great video presentation of Clynelish , Brora and the whisky making process. Not many are doing these types of videos and I am actually shocked tat there are not more views here. Thank you so much for producing and please go back and update us on the Brora line coming out again in the future.......Slainte'

It’s always good to see a traditional Scotsman, with an extensive history in beer production rather than Scotch single malt whisky, assuming the position of site manager of two historically important Scotch single malt distilleries. Perhaps a Russian vodka distillery site manager will become the distillery manager of Springbank one day in the near future. It’s good to see that tradition is still alive and well in the Scotch whisky industry, rather than being forced to capitulate into diversity for diversity’s sake.

*Clynelish* 14 is among my top 5 favourites when it comes to flavour! Just delicious!
If only they could write "non chill-filtered" and "natural colour" on the label, would be much better tangible info to compliment the 46% abv.
    But still a great dram!!

    Fabulous video..
Almost makes me want to buy the JW gold...
I became a big fan of Clynelish 14 via Spice Tree by Compass Box pre-2021 blend..
    Thanks for making this video..

    Absolutely love Clynelish 14.
    Great job with this tour.
    Is Clynelish 14 chill- filtered?
    Or color added?

Huge Clynelish fan here from Canada. Been there a few times and Aunt used to manage admin in the 90s.
I know Clynelish is primarily used for fill, especially for JW Blue, but I have quite the collection of what many would consider rare and somewhat rare releases.
Great video! However, I know it's gone Diageo, but should be not all be worried it's gone from copper and Oregon pine, to stainless steel.
I suspect that as soon as 14 years goes by, the old reserve will be much better, value of pre-stainless will go up and Clynleish will lose a significant amount of quality.
    Please tell me I'm wrong.

I learned that Clynelish is a main whisky in Costco’s 12 year blended whisky.

Thnak you very much for making this video!! I'm so sad that more people don't see this good video.
I want to introduce this fantastic video to more people. So would it be okay if I put a link and use a few seconds of this video in my UA-cam?

Why over-do it? Got payed? I this is NOT what whisky is to me. That man you were over-talking has NOTHING to do with the spirit and tradition of whisky and you know it.

Very disappointed to see that’s the site manager just doesn’t seem like he belongs. Not getting any unique insight nor knowledge from him. Perhaps that’s one of the reasons why clynelish has gone down in quality in recent years. As much as it is about the raw ingredients, whisky is equally about the people who make them.

I like these videos, and I like learning about the distilling process; it's fascinating from a technical perspective. I'm sure the people who claim to like the taste of whiskey and appreciate the nuances of flavor are telling the truth, but for me, it all tastes nasty and horrible, no matter how old or expensive. I've tried to appreciate whiskies--I even visited some distilleries on the Bourbon Trail in Kentucky, but if I'm honest, I can't stand the taste of anything I've tried so far...medicinal, gag-inducing, horrible. Still very interesting, though. Thanks.

Now I know why Cynelish has been losing its character in recent years. Diageo really are tossers.
