- If you, like me, start pulling your sweaters out the moment September hits, then you, like me, probably spend the majority of the month sweating through those sweaters. While I appreciate perspiration as much as the next girl, I decided to approach things a bit differently this year. Come along with me as I attempt to create a transitional fall wardrobe that actually suits BOTH the beginning of the season as well as the end!

I live in Wisconsin. Fall is COOOOOLLLLLLDDDDD. We have already been dropping at night into the 40s!
Wow that’s so cold! I’m jealous 😄 but I also don’t know how well I would handle long winters haha
@@tinyblackbird That's not even cold yet! The Winters can be really hard to get though. September is pretty much the end of warm, nice weather. By mid October we have the furnace on. February is very dark, and VERY cold, and then Spring is pretty much in June.

@@jessicawalls5360 It's crazy this time of year. We have 42 F at night and then it is 81 f during the day and HUUUUMID.
I’m in WI too. Highs of 80s all week and I’m over the heat. Ready for all my sweaters 😭

Did you say at one point that you’re in NC? I am, and what I’ve done for fall this year is to create a “transition” capsule. I pulled out everything that is obviously SUMMER, like espadrilles and sandals and floaty sundresses, beach print shirts, linen pants, etc. I kept the rest of my Summer stuff on the rail and added some light jackets, long sleeve shirts, and a cardigan or 2. Pulled out my lightweight scarves. Replaced the espadrilles and sandals with some boots. So it’s about 80% Summer with 20% Fall layers. I’ll do another switch probably in mid-October or early November, but I have my sweaters and stuff easily available if we have a freaky cold snap.

Fall in Northern California and it is 100 degrees still….. cooler weather for us 80’s (practically freezing) not for another 2-3 weeks. However nights are beautiful…… 50’s

What brand are the long overalls? I’ve been trying to find some on eBay but haven’t had the best of luck.
They’re Shaina Mote 😊 I got them at a consignment shop, but I’m not sure they are worth the high price point new. I’ve seen some Carhartt and Dickies overalls that are a very similar style though!
