"Main teen tak shumar karoon gi "
Lol nooo😂😂. Literally no Pakistani parent ever has said that. A lot of these sentences were not ones which would be commonly used and some seemed a bit grammatically incorrect. I suggest anyone who really wants to learn urdu watch urdu dramas and stuff so you can see how people actually talk in daily life. This is more bookish knowledge and the words used are a bit outdated.
But this is the real urdu. What we use daily isnt even urdu :(
Can you specify which sentence is not grammatically correct? Because I think all of them are correct. Also, the Urdu used in dramas is more like Urdu mixed with English which I guess is colloquial. But when the students are learning a lot of them like to learn proper Urdu.
@@learnurduwithsara1068 As someone whose first language is Urdu, I'd say she's right. There are a lot of sentences which are just direct translations of the English phrases and not taught the way we actually say them. Like the third sentence in the video "Apne ghar ka kaam karo" isn't how we say "Do your homework". Instead we refer to home work as 'school work'
"Apne school ka kaam karo" cause 'ghar ka kaam karo 'can be misinterpreted as you telling someone to pay attention to their home or asking them to do house chores.
Also, some other sentences that I'm gonna point out are
"Bistar pe jao"
This too, is a direct translation. A better way to say "Go to bed" in Urdu would be "Ja kar sou jao"
"Bistar pe jao" would mean telling someone to just go sit on the bed.
"Mein teen tak shumar karunga/karungi"
"Mein teen tak ginungi/ginunga"
This isn't about proper Urdu, those were just direct translations. Spoken Urdu is a bit different, we don't directly translate English words into Urdu instead we have a different word for them in Urdu. This is why you see people using English words frequently cause their vocabulary isn't strong
I know, in the other video we say 'good morning' in Urdu the same as in English, but she said old fashioned words.
Gracias eres muy buena!!!
