We would love to turn culture clash into a series and have some great ideas for interesting subjects! For anyone who would like to support us and our work we would hugely appreciate it. Thank you ❤ www.buymeacoffee.com/getherealstory
@@GetTheRealStory I actually didn't notice this isn't a huge, old, professional channel until I read this comment. You fit right in there with high quality indie-style journalistic channels. Though once you can I'd recommend a mic upgrade for interviews like this, or maybe it's just about changing settings/setup.
My favourite video ever! This is so inspiring as an aspiring journalist. The structure of the video, the witty edits, the conversations it’s just all chefs kiss. Your an amazing interviewer 🤌🏾🤌🏾
If you want to interview some people from the 90s conscious raving scene and me drop me a dm - don’t forget Oxford’s indigenous underground rave culture and the Psychedelic Circus / Audacity / DatSound collectives xxx
Anyone who sincerely thinks someone should be punished for taking LSD, psilocybin, DMT, THC etc... is, in my humble opinion, probably dangerously insane. They certainly shouldn't be allowed near children or vulnerable individuals, be allowed to vote, drive etc...
Such an uneducated opinion, psychadelics are a dangerous tool if used in an improper fashion. As someone who has used psychadelics for over 2 decades i should know 🤦♂️ Saying someone who is against literal mind bending drugs is insane is a literal contridiction, psychadelics can cause insanity pretty quickly and easily. Keep your shit opinions to yourself. Someone on any psychadelic should not be anywhere near children, if you have kids you should have them taken away 🤡🤡🤡
I think digging into culture on supply and distribution has more potential for interesting pieces than chatting to end users within the scene. I'm sure you've seen deeper investigations such as Andrew Callaghan or Hamilton Morrises journalism, I encourage you to steer that way rather than Max Fosh style journalistic pieces. Thanks for your time.
I imagine you guys get a lot of crap. For what it's worth, legal marijuana (NY) very much gave me a new and healthier perspective on life. Hope that hopes.
Hey man this is a cool channel, I'm in the US and I've had personal experience with many different drùgs not just psychedelics and I feel like I could offer a good perspective for how decriminalization could help people with addictions
I've not watched the full video yet, but what will these kids thing about drugs if they are part of the minority, which brains couldn't take the experience, and now their consciousness is permanently in a state of psychosis and mental illness, turning them into unfunctional adults for their whole life ahead - are drugs cool and helpful then? I'm seriously asking
Genuinely appreciate the feedback. What we are trying to do is walk a tight line between being entertaining and informative - feedback from our audience about when we will inevitably fail as we try new things is valuable. Glad you enjoyed the vid :)
@@GetTheRealStory The interviewer was quite condescending towards Ken, i thought. Pause at 11:19 and you can see it very clearly. The whole approach was wrong. Perhaps the interviewer has forgotten that music is often used to evoke particular feelings, images and situations and that this combined with ritual and psychedelics could serve as a mechanism developed by said tribe to transport a room full of people to the same 'spiritual' place or whatever you wanna call it. This makes more sense when you consider films literally do the same thing and that we are in a constant state of hallucination. You'd have new sub for the topic if it wasn't for the amateur academics and sloppy journalism on show, here. Hardly impartial and pretty humourless.

Yess!!!!
thank you so much for having us ben! great work!
Psilocybin and cannabis saved my life. Great to see more research being done. We need to re-legalise psychedelics for therapeutic and spiritual use.
Honestly a fantastic sub-culture, earned a sub.
Kenneth is such a legend

The suppression of psychedelics is a crime against humanity.

Thank you, appreciate you following us along for the journey!
Lot of nothing? Psychedelics? Are you kidding? These substances are the single most valuable from anything humans have.

Didn't like facial expressions of the interviewer. Shoutout to Kenneth and Bobby, tho!

Nothing here I haven’t heard 1000 times before
This is the worst career su1c1de I’ve seen on UA-cam
probably not the smartest idea to put their faces on the internet with names considering psychadelics are illegal in the UK
