Can't wait to get my van and go. Got a few years to save up first. My dad was a long distance lorry driver and often went to Scotland so going there will make me feel close to him, he passed in 03 from methoseleoma 💔

Fairy pools carpark was free but it was a tiny muddy mess. The road was jammed with vans and it as a very difficult path up to the waterfall.
They started to charge for it and they extended the carpark as well as improving the path to the top.
They also need to trash walk the tons of crap that visitors seem to leave behind thinking it just vanishes … 5 quid is not that bad if the path improvements happen as well as the damage repair 1000 pairs of feet do.

I thought Scotland has the right/freedom to roam just like here in Norway and Sweden? I really dont understand why you park in rural areas in Scotland to sleep and risk a hefty fine. Here we just find a nice and quiet parking spot in the middle of nowhere/nature. As long as its not private property its allowed to stay over night for free, or for 2 days. Only condition is to leave the spot as it was, hence, no throwing out garbage etc. If you prefer the highlands here, you can stay in a van or a tent for free as long as you want.
from what i know, they are more uptight durring the summer months and due to the rona, people are flocking there and having to ruin it for everyone else by littering and making illagal firecamps and dumping their toilets out!!! it happing all over UK aswell so i dont blame them for being a bit more not as freedom or as close as wild as it can get. :( Norway sounds lovely aswell too. Im hoping to make a trip to the Scotland oneday.
Because it’s not the same rules in a van! Also the area we were in as I said it was very difficult to find somewhere to stay for the night so this was our last resort! If we could have found a beautiful nature location for the night then obviously I would have preferred to stay there!
@@WillsWhereabouts Take the Vildmarksvägen (Wilderness road) in Sweden if you like scenery. As its highlands you can just park anywhere and stay as long as you like. We do (unoficially) roadkill up here, if you are lucky you are invited by locals to a really good grilled wild reindeer steak...

We love your vlogs Will. They’re informative, your hilarious, down to earth and the quality of drone footage is worthy of being shown on a big screen.
Watching your friendships blossom with some of our other favourites and seeing the banter, laughter and fun you have during van life adventures surely is enough for anyone to want to do it for themselves. Hopefully, it’ll be us in the next few months but until then we’ll have to be satisfied with watching you, Charlie & Lauren, Life Beyond Bricks & where it all started for us with the Roaming Radfords. Ah fantastic video again Will. Those views are just insane they really are and your filming of them really does them justice. Just the most incredible drone footage Will giving a different view that the scenery deserves. The scenery just gives me the chilled out vibes which I need at the moment. Unfortunately I've never seen Lord of the Rings or Game of Thrones so I don't know how accurate your depiction of the characters are. Charlie & Lauren always go very quiet when you display your hidden acting skills. They are either in complete awe of your fine rendition of characters of old or they are nervously thinking what your impressions will do for Anglo/Scottish relations and levels of subscribers 😁 Another hike to the top of a mountain with wonderful views at the top. All this walking must really be toning up your leg muscles. It may be advantageous to you for girlfriend candidates to only have camera skills but also have the skills to massage Will's aching muscles. The hotel run by Charlie & Lauren's friend looked like heaven to me, wonderful food and fantastic views. Stay Safe, Graham 💪

Loving your vids will. I’m just hooked on seeing your next adventure as it looks so much fun and what excitement to wake up in a different place almost every day! Finding a place to shower must be a god send as you must get a bit smelly around your nether regions but I haven’t seen you wash any clothes yet. Ehh?? Or are you economising and doing the 4 day pants method….right way round,back to front, inside out then back to front again?

Loving the videos Will. A couple of tips for next time. If you pay the maximum time for the long stay carpark in Portree you can stay overnight. Same for The Man of Storr. Just make sure you pay for 12 hrs near the end of the day and the ticket will cover you overnight. In Glen brittle you will get mobile reception at the official carpark. You won't need to pay for a short stay. Just tell the official on the gate that you plan to stay just enough time to use your phone. If you enjoy the wide-open expanses and high mountains there is so much more to see. You should take a trip up Glen Garry and down Glen Sheil to Eilean Donan castle. There are a few places to stop. Some a bit uneven (understatement) but further down there are a couple of nice flat spots. Kudos to you for doing bealach na ba in your van. Let us know if you plan another trip up this way. I didn't know that Scotland was looking that great. Strange that it looks so like Kiwi. When I was in Queenstown,NZ the landscape was just like Scotland.

Loving these videos. It was absolutely pissing down when we went to Fairy Pools. You could barely see the rocks to walk on over the river to get there. I bailed and went back to the van but my other half went over. Not so much fun in bad weather. We couldn’t even see The old man of Storr the rain was so bad, wasn’t even Amy better the next day 😩 did you find the dinosaur footprints 😄
When I went to the Isle of Skye I went there it was a really good holiday and had sheep in garden
