I just purchased this board. If you installed 4 Western Digital SN850X NVMe SSD in raid-0 , You would have blazed right through windows boot in a blink of an eye. The WD SN850X does 7300-MB/s read and write and in raid-0 with (4) of these SSD's it would be 7300x4 speed. Even with just (2) of these SSD's in raid-0 would be a really fast boot time. 🤓👍

I own the Aorus Xtreme and you need to enable MCR in bios for fast boot times. I disabled a few things and you can boot into windows in 19 seconds or so. Worth testing.
Not to mention putting (2) WD SN850X SSD's in raid-0 would pump up that boot time to around 9 seconds more or less. People have to make sure they are purchasing a specific type of SSD that has 7000/MB/s read and write speeds. WD SN850X does 7300/MBs W and R. 🤓👍

Thanks for the video. I am currently upgrading from my nightmare bios issues from Asus X670e Crosshair Hero. Techs at Micro Center in the States say it's the number one returned board so far. LOVE this board - it's probably going to come down to a flip of a coin, between this board and the MSI MEG ACE. I am quite disappointed with the fact that neither has thunberbolt 4. Not a show stopper for me though. The fact that it runs cool, has 10 gig ether, both pcie 5 m.2 and x16 support, are all key. The MSI ACE does have one more pcie 5 m.2 and one more usb-c connector near the front of the board, also, pcie 5 slot support on all 3 slots, this model, however, runs cooler and slightly faster. Impossible to find one at the time I am adding this comment. Perhaps it is the best in this price range. I do not wish to spend $1200 USD on a motherboard (godlike, rog extreme extreme extreme, (yes, there actually are THREE "extremes" in the name), or anything else for that matter). And given the recent ASUS Ryzen blow up and meltdown issues, I'm going to stay clear of that brand for some time. It's either MSI or GIGABYTE at this point, as NVIDIA jumped the shark with dropping NVIDIA altogether - they did, after all, make the best GPU cards, bar none. Too bad. Great review btw.
Hey, awesome video as usual. I have the X670E AORUS MASTER. And i think that it's a bit better because it doesn't cut down the PCIe lanes like the XTREME does if you connect additional PCIe cards. But what worries me is the recent video by the BuildZoid guy covering the X670E AORUS MASTER's SOC voltage even with the latest BIOS update. And how it's very unreliable If you are able to tell me. Should i simply leave everything at BIOS defaults so not not worry about any overvolting currently till this problem gets solved completely by GIGABYTE ???
you should update your bios everytime they release a new firmware. gigabyte is good with that AND its a new platform so just do it and chill. BTW good choice :-)
@BrickBazooka Hi 👋 i've been doing exactly what you've said. Currently the BIOS is updated to the latest F12a version. And i've not done any kind of tweaking in it. I've only set the Dynamic Preffered Cores to Cache for my Ryzen 7950X3D, and disabled the iGPU and have checked that above 4G decoding and ReSizeBar are enabled. And that's pretty much it. There's no OC on the RAM or CPU they're at their default values. And things have been fine for now. The only thing i've OCd is my RX 7900 XTX Red Devil Limited which i'll try to tweak even further.
@Gielderst good boy :D I don't have the Master. I'm still struggling between b650e master, x670e master or e xtreme. but I have the space for e-atx. you should do at least set the xmp profile for the ram. other than that isn't necessary, cause your cpu has precision boost overdrive. why did you pick the x670e master over the other 2?
@BrickBazooka I picked up the X670E AORUS MASTER rev.1.0 cause i liked that it's E-ATX, has a metal backplate, has metal reinforced 24Pin mobo power connector, metal on the RAM slots which have double locks and that the 2x 8Pin CPU power connectors are also metal and the x16 PCIe slot is really thick. And also that's the board i could afford but the XTREME is too expensive and it does cut PCIe lanes if more than one PCIe card is added or all 4x M.2 NVMe slots are populated. While the MASTER doesn't do that as far as i know. So this led me to believe that the MASTER is actually better than the XTREME as for B650 i think things are similar. But i wanted the best of the best, so that's why i went with the MASTER and i also think it looks the best even when compared to the XTREME, cause the XTREME is darker overall while the MASTER is brighter. I love nerding out on tech stuff lol 😆 🤓
@Gielderst you can run 2x nvme ssds on the xtreme while having x16 on gpu. but if you put a pcie card (not an nvme) where does it say gpu lanes switch to x8? I can't beleave that
So I am having issues with my 13900KS and ASUS Z790 Maximus Hero combo.... thinking of RMA'ing both of them and going with this kit... Am I taking a big step back?
