That is amazing. Most people think my having gotten a diagnosis by 9 months and therapy by 18 months was amazing. I wish I could have gotten it when you did. I really think that early therapy has helped my son go from low functioning to moderate/high functioning.

I have been fighting for my son to get in to get tested and they can't get him in until summer 2013...He does have occupational therapy but on wait list for speech, he will be 2 in november and is unable to talk, will not make eye contact paces all the time while constantly grinding his teeth....He truly needs help and i cant get him any immediate help been trying for past 7 months, Really wish there were programs for immediate help for children with autism and not a 1 year wait.

I went to middle school with Connor. He's a nice guy, made a lot of friends, funny. I hope he's doing well.

any updates? this is so frustrating....nothing in years. thank you. this problem usually, almost always, does NOT go away during the individual's life. It is 13 years later, have we learned alot since this video? Seems to be a mystery still yet. And the big question, are there really MORE cases now or just more children REPORTED TO BE ON SPECTRUM. Very confusing indeed.

I'm going through the same thing with my son. He will be 3 in november. I also have an OT but yet to get a speech therapist and he is about to start preschool. The wait in Colorado is 1-2 years for full benefits for autistic children. Unfortunately, the government doesn't have enough money to pay for our programs.

I curious what exactly changed with the ABA therapy that made it work. With my son ABA was not working, but when we tried PECS he quickly started picking up language.

@@muslimah42 это карточки, с помощью них ребенок может общаться с нами, многим детям карточки PECS помогают заговорить. Обратитесь к ABA специалисту, и он поможет вам в этом вопросе

@kkcustomized He said the ABA program didn't work for them as well. What is PEC?

I can see how you might wonder this, however it seems to be more of a dialectal difference in the case of the father. The various characteristics of ASDs are more pronounced in terms of overall communicative efficacy, as opposed to speech sounds alone.

The way the father has a slight speech impediment makes me wonder if he is somewhere on the spectrum too.

Damn, this looks far too widespread in terms of symptons and such to understand.

nobody had pay attention about saying 'kids was ill' better than saying 'self not good at raising kids'. too much words too early and too much control to only allow to do one thing: obey., adult want attentions from kids not vise versa, where is the love, not the kind having-pets' love? poor kids in "modern" world.
