Good evening
I’m sitting here watching you and your son work as a team and you never talk down to him you’re a wonderful father and man you remind me of my dad he and my uncle had a trucking business about the size of yours and they put in the same hours like you do.
They have passed up to the big truck terminal in the sky hauling for the Lord my reason for writing is that you make sure to treat your son as an equal and don’t talk down to him well y’all have a safe night. I love you guys you bring tears to my eyes
I drove TT for 49 years loved mostly every mile.
So enjoy the night air and be very safe.
Good night
The ole Rocketman
That little one has said more in 3 episodes than Brax has said in 3 years, he’s going to be something to behold.
Digger is priceless. He puts a smile on this old man's face.
That little one is pretty cute. And you're right, about talking more.
Braxton mumbles he talks but mainly his talking is mumbling it comes out that way on camera anyways. What comes on camera clearly all the time is "hey dad" constantly even when Tim is talking to do business..
You noticed that as well ....Braxton should be taught how to detail your trucks that's right spit and polish ....
I've had a dash brake valve failure after setting in the past luckily mine didn't end this bad unfortunately with the grade it was on I think this is just one of those freak equipment failures that no one can control it suck but the real ones here will support you through the rebuild of Braxtons truck
Hey Brother, I appreciate the kind words... thanks for the boost.
Tim's the only one that grinds like you do bro, just think if you trucked full time , all them trucks would be up & trucking
@@tomboone201 I’d like to get some out there. I just don’t have time to manage them. Maybe next year when I got a hand full ready
Love u and Jessica
To quote Dolly Parton. Your busier then a one legged man at a butt kicking contest lol, plus with trucking freight pay like it is right now, be glad you get to look down at it all in your job
Just subscribed
Well Tim and Braxton God will never put to much on yall plate and if does he will give yall the strength to take care of it just keep faith in the Lord and all will be fine have a blessed day
Braxton I have vacation time coming up think you can put me to work for a couple of weeks in the shop helping straightened up and do some painting I have experience with single stage ,tri coat ,and metallic paint.Keep in touch buddy and keep up your grades in school so we can continue watching you with your dad.
Everybody makes a mistake, it’s not the mistake, it is how you deal with it and move forward. Tim sounds like a great guy to work and learn with. Keep up the good work brother
There is no one in this world that has not made a mistake in life , The successful just keep moving forward
@@johnnycates4333 if you listen to tim gentry talk and actually paid attention , he clearly states that the DASHCAM records the brakes being set ,, and that you can hear audibly on the video that the brakes set ,,,as a truck driver myself i happen to know that a truck without it's brakes set will roll immediately on an 8 percent grade ,, which you would also know if you watched his previous video ,,,brakes don't spontaneously release on their own either ,,it would take a huge cascade of failures to allow the brakes to release without being commanded to do so ,,and the possibility of all 4 brake cans losing their tension springs in the event of air loss is higher than the national debt ,,I had someone actually release my brakes once ,,the only thing that saved my ass was having chocked my wheels all 12 rear wheels ,,i have a triple drive setup with 6x 3030 spring brakes they don't just spontaneously release ,,that would literally take all of the relay valves failing to cause such and accident
Hello from , Massachusetts, sorry to see that Braxtons' truck was in an accident, as long no one was injured the truck can be fixed , been watching for a while , glad to see you treat ur employees like family great content
I watch your videos when I see them you are doing great between the tow trucks and the hauling of things is great.
I had the same thing happen to a buddy 1 time. He was tired, pulled the johnny bar, was doing a log, forgot he didnt set the brakes, climbed in the sleeper and woke up to it rolling down the hill out of an oasis on 294 in illinois onto the toll road.
Tim, don't worry yourself about the brakes letting go. I had an International cabover roll off on me way back in the in the 90's. I parked, set the brake, then gathered my clothes up and headed to my car to head home. I cranked the car and about that time the truck started rolling down the hill and hit another rig. Keep your head up. Thoughts & Prayers
He said the truck has 30/30 brake chambers. There's no way they let loose on their own.
Yes that can chambers are only as good as the valve that holds there pressure if that valve releases so does chambers all at once.
Love that your neighbors are not voting 😂. Pass by on 411 twice a week, always checking out what truck is in your yard. Love your positivity with everything.
Can't wait to see the next video showing the Super Yacht on your purpose built trailer. Good to hear that even after what happened with the boats, the company has faith in you and will keep using you to transport their boats. All the best for the future, Terry in Australia.
Tim, I had a Freightliner that would leak air by parking brake valve and release the brakes. ( Did not leak to atmosphere, but did release the parking brakes.) There was a recall in 2006 (I think). I had mine replaced and had no more troubles until I changed trucks. Maybe you would want to check that valve when you fix both of those trucks.
Braxton I like green
I think I'd be putting cameras inside too
Tim did Braxton go with you to get the big boat
Great looking boxes with no tools.😢
I’ve a few words for the haters but just can’t say it on here , you keep it going Tim
Have a safe trip to Baltimore guys, love your channel
Hope you remembered tire chains be extra safe in that winter storm God be with you.
Brax don't worry your dad's got your back. Your truck will be replaced or fixed either way. Tim hopefully the boat repairs won't be that much if you don't use the insurance. Best luck from Canada
Braxton I think your first choice was the nicest one with the blue and gray/silver paint job I think that would look great going down the road.... Well good luck making your choice and getting the truck done asap but I know you and your dad will get it back up and running better than ever...👍👍👍
Listen to your dad he’s been around long enough to see things from a clear point of view. Wish you and yours a great future !
There you go, Boss Tim "The Boss Man" Gentry for President. Gotts a pretty good ring to it. Burn outs on the White House lawn for sure, with a truck show every other day, diesel mechanic classes everyday. Have fun Mr. Tim (Bossedent)
It was good to see Dad again like you said Trip I do believe is a good drive some time crap happens Marla is a good truck James has put a lot of time and hard work into her
Hi Tim Gentry and Sons and family
Great father and son time 😊
Hay Tim make shur you put some winter fuel mix in that good looking truck before you get to far north big winter storm front coming in this weekend for the great lakes area
I saw a comment on the live, about freightliner having a recall about a valve. Like to know if you saw that? Hope it might help. Have a good boat trip. The truck just missed him being gone.
Good for you Braxton. Rebuild. I like your attitude.
He got that from his daddy and paw paw
I heard from the grapevine that he's gonna be on Bonehead truckers at truck stops😂
You guys are so awesome thanks for letting me be a part of your Channel
Dash Cams a must have!!! Good to know no one was hurt or are losing there job. I have been toying w/ the idea of getting one for my pickup, mainly for when I am towing my camper. People in cars do crazy stuff around me (and behind my trailer and I can relate to the Big Rig drivers) when going down the highway. Here in Florida I-75, I-95, I-10 and I-4 are the racetracks of the south east!!
What good will that dashcam do without a driver facing camera to see what Tripp did b4 the accident. It just doesn't roll away after 5 minutes sitting there
Are you in Braxton? I came to Amer guy's name right now but u Antonio and river rolls. Hope you guys have a good trip and keep the sun shut up and the greasy side down. Have a good trip Tim, and I'll be praying for you.
And I guess I'd before keep the shiny shade up and the greasy side down
Good to see your dad.
Hey Tim, sorry to hear about the Argosy, things and items can be repaired or replaced, well Tripp can be as well but it just wouldn't be the same. Thank God Tripp is ok and that nobody else was injured in the process. God bless everyone at Gentry and Sons for all the hard work and dedication to the cause. Keep all wheels and videos a rolling. Roll on Gentry
Well, Tim, I gotta tell you. It's keep the shiny side up and the greasy side down. And I'll be praying for you. And I hope you have a good trip and have a good time
You are doing great job Tim 👏👏👏🇺🇸🇺🇸
Sorry I missed the live, but with this one it wouldn’t replay the live comment roll like the previous ones.
Thanks for sharing!
just stumbled on your channel. I grew up in sweetwater and I think you know my uncle pretty well. small world!
Timmy, the TRUCKING GOD'S were looking out for TRIP; & saved him from having a accident or another other issues out west besides back near homebase.
So if the brakes were set, what's going to stop it from doing it again? I would be really curious what you find out. That would be something every truck driver should know
Some DEEP INSPECTION OF THAT BRAKE SYSTEM
IS NEEDED...CAUSE BEST BE UNDERSTOOD
There has actually been a recall on them before. www.arfc.org/commercial/freightliner/argosy/recalls/000022778000217359000000119/recall.aspx
Wheel chocks for that truck when parking
@@philberg9234what about if it decides to let go in between chocking them? Better to find what caused it to happen
@@georged1085 yes you have a point, A good start would be to check each valve function down the line.
Braxton is so mature and inquiring, that boy is going places
hi tim and brax hope y'all get the argosy up and repaired i'm a fan of cabovers and i watch james and jessicas channel great channel great people thank you for sharing the video and y'all do a great job as well
They have some great big Kringle pastries up that way going have to try it out
Tim, I know nothing about diesel trucks and even less about boats but I love watching your channel so stay with it my friend. Brax is learning a big lesson on this accident.
Hey Tim hate this happened to you and Braxton you and your dad keep doing what you guys do let the haters hate you guys do a good job god bless you guys
Hi Tim,you need to do something about you tools .maybe label all your boxes. I see you are always looking for them.seems Brax knows we’re they are .lol😊
As you said Tim, there's a reason for everything. It may not be obvious now but something may happen in the future that you will think that if Brax's truck didn't have it's accident then, it may have had something more serious happen at a later date. You have overcome your loss with the fire, I'm sure this is only a small hiccup in the grand scale of things.
You'll could be working on Westons truck while ur waiting on your 2 escort vehicles and ur 1 pole car. U could be working on putting the cab/sleeper or the air tanks/ fuel tanks onto the frame right now.
I like the way that you have handled the accident and the confidence that you show for Trip, I remember when I was trucking stuff happens beyond our control, I pulled dumb trailers and evey time that you put one of them in the air it was a challenge challenge to make sure it came down the way it went up rubber side down, lol, I enjoyed the video have a safe trip!
I would love to find out what happened, it just doesn't make sense, once the brakes were set they just don't release then reset themselves,
if that was the case your dash cam would show it going from driving to idle back to driving then back to idle, I have seen a truck pulling a flatbed, driver parked (says he set brakes but didn't) walked into the dispatchers office and was there several minutes when the truck finally rolled down the drop lot and hit one of the mechanics pickup trucks, granted it wasn't a steep grade,
with nearly 40 years in the trucking business this is a new one to me with the exception of the early brake systems that took air to set the parking brakes , it was murder to hook up to a trailer when the air had bleed off and the had those wheels on the dolly legs instead of sand shoes. lucky no one was hurt or run over!
Brax for jr. trucker of the year !! When he gets his license. He will be Driver of the year!! That kid can drive
Good morning Gentry Family, Tim and Braxton have a safe trip. Tim do you think that the weight of the load caused it to push forward being that it was on a incline of 8%& caused the brakes to go out because it was definitely a failure in the brake system unless someone else was in the truck and released the brakes.
Anyone who doesn't fully understand truck air brakes don't comment
There is a spring brake on at least 1 trailer axle and one truck axle
So klin case of any failure the brakes will be applied
I thought I saw a recall on the maxi brakes on those trucks.
I said it in comments on last video and I’ll say it again get the security camera footage from Truck Stop, from your truck that crashed and any trucker that was there and had a dash cam running!!! This will clarify a lot of the unknown for you.
I agree thoes cat scales have cameras
I doubt any video footage is gonna show any trouble that might been brake/air related will it? I bet it will show him pull up, sit there a few minutes , get out and walk towards the store and then show the truck start chasing him until it hit!
He talks about the footage in this video and says that the truck just suddenly let go and started rolling after the driver was about to walk into the store.
@@warrenmichael918 It will rule out purposeful effort from someone.
Just got my order in today shirts look great man. Happy to represent another trucker
Hay Tim cement the place they dieting to getting into
Somebody commented on the previous video that there is a recall on the brake valve that covers your year Argsi

Good morning Tim. Freightliner issued a recall for that specific roll away issue in June 2006. It involves a defective Bendix SR7 brake valve on various models including Argosy. The Freightliner recall number is FL477AD and the NHTSA recall number associated with it is 06V-205. I hope this helps.
Brax your pops is just trying to help you get comfortable with the camera, so when you get older it won’t uncomfortable for you . Pops just trying to make things a lil easier for you later on in life buddy , yall keep on grinding ….
Good job
Hey how are you doing today my so how is Braxton doing so far hopefully he can fix has truck must be is shock about all this I feel sorry for him
Rooster is a.beast he can haul anything ❤
Hey Tim that was me yelling at you at the Baltimore port at light love you brother
Tim I thought the same thing that another trucker got mad “his spot” was taken. I’m willing to bet that guy in the Volvo jumped in and released the brakes. I’d bet money on it
Hi Tim sorry for wreck but you do need try keep yout garage inorder just sayin
Feel so sorry for your driver and Braxton as well as you Tim.....hope you find the cause of the failure
Stuff happens, it’s trucking. I had a truck where I set the brakes when I backed under the trailer, jumped out to connect the airlines and power and the whole damn thing rolled backwards. Scared the hell out of me as I was stood between the truck and the trailer.
Hi Tim this scott from mississippi hope you get truck back on the road good.look truck
I used to drive scanies here in the UK and there really great trucks
That blue argosy that brax likes was for sale up in canada and has a detroit in it. i tried sending you the link on here a week or so ago. idk if its still avail. there was also a tri drive on the same website.
Been around trucks for over 35yrs an have never seen a truck just roll away after the breaks were set unless they've been smoked or way out of adjustment. So best thing to do is get the footage from cameras around the trucks stop if you can. Goodluck glad nobody got hurt or worse
Minnesota when you going to be here would be sweet to see you what part you going to be
Hi Tim
Noticed the burgundy Chevy GMC still in the shop..
thought it was done last week? 😮😮
That brake valve could’ve malfunctioned, if so change it and the one on your truck also Tim to avoid any further damage and problems .
Nice trailer 👍👍👍👍 3:59
Recall 89154 [USA]: These conditions could either result in leakage and cause a delay in the application of the spring brake without warning or possibly lead to unintended vehicle rollaway or brake drag which could result in a vehicle crash, personal injury, or death.
Certain freightliner school bus chassis, heavy trucks, and thomas built school buses manufactured between july 2002 and july 3, 2007, equipped with bendix sr-7 spring brake control valves. The parker scv brass 90 degree single check valves (scv) which attach to the supply port of a bendix sr-7 spring brake modulating valve can break apart. Pieces of the parker scv can become lodged inside the sr-7 spring brake modulating valve, potentially causing either leakage out of the sr-7 valve or preventing air from properly exhausting from the sr-7 valve. Also, due to a manufacturing defect in the internal rubber check valve inside the sr-7 spring brake modulating valves, the valves can become deformed and not seat properly.
freightliner will notify owners and repair the vehicles free of charge. The recall began on january 11, 2008 to freightliner, sterling, and freightliner custom chassis owners; to thomas built bus owners on february 1, 2008. Owners can contact freightliner at 1-800-547-0712.
freightliner recall no. Fl-504.Customers may contact the national highway traffic safety administration's vehicle safety hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (tty: 1-800-424-9153); or go to www.Safercar.Gov.
old marmon COE look nice in your fleet with some Rob's stainless work on her.
There quite a few tricked up marmons around Australia
Tim you can’t let the haters get you down. Tim Stay On Your Postive Thoughts And Moves Keep It Moving God Bless And God Continue To Keep You Safe And Positive All The Way Up You All Be Trucking !!!!
What's going on buddy braxton are you doing man don't be shy
Brad bad luck started when hé put this tv and playstation in Rooster 😂
I'd be willing to bet the quick release valve stuck and never let all the air out of the chambers had that issue a couple times on a 94 Pete but thankfully it never rolled away to far but I finally figured it out after about the fourth time
I have seen both ice chunk from moisture and grease debris chuck stop break valve from fully engaging
G day Tim, there's a heap of those trucks here in Australia. You could probably get all the bits you need and at a great price. US dollar is good at the moment. Be worth a look on the internet. Hope all goes well for you guys.
Rooster needs a nice headache rack with chain storage and a amber lightbar on top for heavy haul.
I still say that you & James ought to really start doing some major collaborations together and see where things go from there for either UA-cam channels!!
1:21 😂😂😂 Hey Tim are you having a family guy moment lol when Stewie keep feeling mommy mama mom mom mommy😂😂😂😂😂 We know damn well You heard for the first dad lol I could see you flinch up😂😂😂 And you were like damn it what in the shit now😂 either the woman wants something or he's going to ask to go with me on the road trip😂😂😂😂
Hey Tim, i watch all your videos and i see that you and Brax was in Racine Wisconsin
did you figure out what those wedge plates on the new trailer are for?
Brax , you are turning into a young business man
Tim Ford has heated tailights now. Purpose is to make it easier to push them when they break down.😂😂😂
That pole laying on ground at 40:03 looks like a giant cigarette lol
I'm proud of you man
Hey guys, my wife and I were in my 1974, 359 pulled in to a scenic view just before coming into Williamsport Pennsylvania. The scenic view looks over Williamsport. It was cold we were looking over the view happen to turn around and my truck started to roll, we ran and jumped in it. I had to pump the brakes going down the hill wondering if they would start to apply fortunately they did. The brakes were set to this day. I don’t know why that happened and never did it again.
Maybe invest in some chalk blocks . 👐🏽
Thoes stack are just a pumpin out that beautiful thick smoke...i like that there..MURICA
Love all you and your family do❤️Your the best of the best🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Your dogs look they have ing a good time
I still remember when you moved into the shop how clean you said you were going to keep it 😂 stuff happens
Lol he does but then he immediately dirty's it up again..lol....he's a good ol country boy..things don't stay clean for long
might need to add camera looking down onto the cab doors on both sides from the top of cab.
Maybe a new company policy to have drivers shut the trucks down in gear in the future? Easier said than done in winter months but maybe a way to help cover crazy accidents like this ol buddy. Definitely never heard of one letting go like that tho and Tripp seems like a stand up guy.
Hi Tim is there a possibility there was condensation in the line or the valve that could have caused some ice . When I drove some ice got in my lines . ❤ southern ontario canada.
tim you keep up the good work
