Welcome to the bottom side of heavy haul Tim. You did everything just fine for a rookie heavy haul driver. You just met the difference between a truck driver and a truck operator. Nice job.

Tim and Ashley , I have a ton of respect for how you handle the “employee “ side of your business. Gentry & Sons is more than just a company..it’s a family..it’s a team. And good teams have more desire when everyone feels appreciated, and it seems like you have a great team in place to represent Gentry & Son’s Trucking. You all understand what a firm foundation is. Thanks for taking the time to share everything on UA-cam.👍
So you fools think this is okay another illegal loud with no oversize signs gross weight etc permit wring chains what a joke get this dude of the dam road seriously this why heavy d didn't use for the helicopter he's unsafe and he's going to take a innocent life.
@@bradleyheitz9210 geez calm down Karen!! See the truck in my profile pic?? You would really shit a brick if you knew how much coal, weight I hauled on that 😆
@@bradleyheitz9210 maybe you should start making your own videos to share so everyone can see the perfect way to do everything. It could be called the BigShot Bradley channel.
Tim i agree with Will Case on his comment about you guys. I love to watch your videos. Yes Ashley is the boss over the money, but when you've been married as long as we have which will be 41 years next March, you'll know she's boss over everything.
@@matthewlester2967 sweet old mountainback! used to see them a lot when I was younger
I sent the sign. Appreciate that you like it. I’m a 5x shirt size or a G&S hat would be killer
Operating weight on a Komatsu wa500 is 65k....ran the same trailer on a 300" double frame 4 axle 389 and I was 41k empty so I would think grossing about 106-107k, Max weight in tn with a 5 axle setup is 100k if it was permitted but no harm no foul. Securement looks good, with the buckets sometimes ill throw a chain across the trailer over the top of the bucket like you would a dozer blade, also 14' 5" is cutting it close to needing a pole car, wouldn't be a bad investment to get a height pole and a turbo saver if your going to haul larger equipment in the future, finally get you some 6x6 oak blocks to put under the axles for cribbing and let the air out of the tires to bring the height down on the big stuff
he also forgot the turn lock
@BFTtheTRUTH no hate on him. But I’m not even a truck driver, I just liked watching frontier specialized because he was always pulling some crazy shit
I was thinking the same I haul machines every week and with a tandem axel pete and a triaxle step deck and detach we can only gross close to 120 thousand and that trailer is only a tandem, if there was a flip axle I might believe it.
@@jopete681 should have had a lift axle and at least a third axle on that trailer for that kind of weight. We run a triple axle 389 Pete and a 4 axle trailer when we’re hauling our link belt 460 which puts us over 150k. When we don’t haul that we’ll take off that 4th axle so we still have the 3 axles on the trailer
How do you permit 130 on 5 axils
You did fine with securement both volume and positions but the big red bar on the driver's side is a safety lock to prevent the loader from turning while being transported.
that 7.3 is a hell of a good engine and The F Series Trucks are just damn good trucks in general..... you can tell his whole day was made when you showed him that truck and y'all are a hell of a good bunch to work for... there's couple different guys I know that are in business for themselves and every so often they will do things like this for some of their guys that works for them and they never have any employee turnover that's for sure and they all work great together
Some guys say you have to hook up the steering lock but in 20 or more years hauling heavy equipment I only had 1 dot officer with something to prove give me crap about it. but other than that you chained it down how did it for years. but always put 2 chains crossed over the bucket incase a pin shears off the boom it won't shift sideways because I've seen that happen a few times. 1 last thing I crossed chains many times so if they broke it was either those gold looking grade nothing trying to pass as grade 8 chains or they chains weren't tight enough and it had one hell of a bump over stretch it.
Heavy haul is a true test of being a REAL Mr. Trucker Driver! you always seem to put safety and skill together to get the load hauled. Great job my man, never through caution to the wind. First one i ever did back in the early 80s caused me to leave a pucker in my seat for a week. Heavy haul was a special mind set for me, never not expect the OMG moment at any second.
Giving him that truck was very nice of you. He will respect you for the rest of his life and your Equpment
You did a SOLID JOB Tim, don't sweat it Brother........🤝🏾🇺🇸💪🏾
Nothing like a heavy load on a n14 Cummins Jake brake singing the blues 💙
Hi Tim, word of advice to you mate. When slowing down, especially at lights use your gears. You have 18 of them, it will save you having to change your brake pads every 2nd trip, plus is a whole lot safer in the long run. Love the videos. Cheers
I thought that’s exactly what he was doing in the video!!
He uses the Jake while bobtailin but not when loaded...lol. smh
One thing I’ll say is I def have a new appreciation for truck drivers and I give them plenty of room, I’ve always let them cut in/merge but it definitely opens you eyes to understanding some of this. But damn, that’s a heavy load!!!! Shew that N14 seems to do alright towing it.
Always crossed the chains front and back, never had a chain snap on me
Just saying, Braxton is about the coolest kid ever. He's like a little tank.
Lmao for his science project other kids will be doing a baking soda volcano, while I bet Brax is like "This is how you replace the fuel injectors on a 12.7 Detroit" 😂👍
That's a cool truck. Be sure you put a roll bar in it. My cousin is now paralyzed from the waste down after rolling his ford truck and breaking his neck. The roofs on them are not designed to support the truck when it flips. He has a lawyer and is suing Ford.
Under the steps to the cab on the drivers side there is a brace that prevents the machine from articulating (pivoting) in the middle. You just swing it open and put the pin in that way the machine cant turn or shift during transport. Not sure if you knew or not, but it could prevent the load from shifting or breaking chains. Good video :)
Sounds as if you’ve done this before, good comment 👍
if you chain it properly and the machine ain't wore out to the point it shouldn't be hauled let alone run by a human being you don't have to use them but it is a good practice to have..
@@curtismahood3629 yup 6 5/8 chains crossed and your good
@@curtismahood3629 makes no sense. that bar prevents wear on the pivot bushings during transport ….
@@MK-us7bq no what prevents wear on the bushings is not being an idiot and running a chain over the center section and tightening the hell out of it! The lock is to keep the machine from pivoting side to side during transport and lock outs.
@Tim gentry - man i wish I could install you some units for you on you shop, offices or house! Spilt system package units and the best minisplits! I have even installed them on a older rig for the sleeper and ran of solar power lol! It would be a privilege to meet yall and even crazier to do some work for ya! Even any automotive hvac! Yall be safe out there and God bless you and your family!
Little man backed that truck up like a boss!!!
Am so proud of him bud 😀
Tim, contact me if you want some help, I have been a heavy hauler for 30+ years. Please let me pass on some knowledge to you. I have been watching for the Bruce Wilson days and live in The Tampa area. I am a private person but watching your UA-cam channel..... Makes me happy 😁 keep doing what you do!!! Love it!!! P.S. you did awesome!!!;! Heavy haulers make $$$$$
This is how you take terror of your employees, Tim you and your wife has such a big heart .
Your Dad is a very smart man.
Are you ever going to put windshield wiper blades back on the kenworth, Mr.safety.
You are a very kind hearted man Tim and I mean that truly. God has a very great mission for you and your family life. God Bless.
Awesome gesture you buying your brother-in-law a truck. Shows the appreciation you have for your employees and now your sister owes you one 😂😂👍🏾
GREAT JOB DRIV,AH. BRAGS GREAT JOB BUDDY.
That Police explorer has the coolest decals I ever seen, Looks like the flag is jumping out at you. Another top notch video Timmy, Love it brother!!!
Tim I didn't figure out how else to do it but here it goes.....Happy Father's Day....I hope you see this.
Man listen to them Jake’s roar!!! That reminds me of my dads Pete when he ran over the road when I was a kid!!!
Damnit tim you’re just an overall good dude.
the W900 is the right truck to hall that large load. nothing better than seeing it roll coal. Great video
Hi Tim and family, I found your channel a couple of months ago, I’m from England, I don’t have any Truck driving experience but I really enjoy your videos, You’re a lucky man, You work hard and you deserve it no doubt, Your Living the dream, I would give anything to be able to experience and be a truck driver in America, not forgetting the trucks that you are collecting and working on, living the best life, I hope everything keeps going good for you and your family.
hell the borders are open whats stopping u😂
Also from.the netherlands
Thumbs updated
Nice loader. The W9 hauled it with ease. BTW you the right side outer brake on the trailer was out. Stay safe.
Old brackston is better than most drivers backing into the trailer. Good job brackston
People just dont understand how much a jake brake helps slow down and save brake shoes not only do they sound good they serve a purpose
This is how you know how good a truck is
That is a big loader. The biggest load i ever had was a 621 Cat belly pan. That was heavy tall wide and long. It hung off the back of our lowboy. Pulled it with a Ford L8000 with a big cam Cummins and a 10 speed . That was nearly 30 years ago my how time flies
Doing a great job and with everything you go out and buy to use or to resell it It’s all good very nice family run business Mr. Gentry and Son
Hauled it like a champ! Your a good driver Tim! Keep on keepin on , w900 sounds amazing too!
You don’t have to use the pit with a loader that big!👍🇨🇱
When your hauling machines cover the exhaust! The turbo will spin with no oil feeding it when going down the road plus dirt can get into the cylinders!
I used a 5 gallon bucket and a tarp strap when I hauled any diesel machine to cover the exhaust, I lost one turbo and half my rear and that was all it took
I’ve seen it happen equipment hauled north no bucket on exhaust filled with water
So as much as your points make sense a fact is a fact
That is complete Bullshit!
@BFTtheTRUTH I know if a driver ever showed up with my machine without a bag on it they wouldn't be doing it again
@@CarbonNeutral22 shows what u know, go back and sit on the porch
I think you did just fine chaining that loader down Tim
Tim you should make a shirt with your top 5 favorite trucks on it and send me the first 3x. Keep on truckin brother.
Tim you are a awesome boss. You really take care of the the ones that take care of you. We as a country need more bosses like you. I try to take of my guys to the best of my ability. Oh yeah A safe wasp spray i use is rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle. Works great.
Dawn dishwashing soap in warm water in a spray bottle... safe and very effective
Tim it gives the W900 a good workout Keep On trucking.
Man I love y'all wish I could find a family oriented company to drive for like yall
Hell brother my Pete works like that every day heavier on Sundays and 35-40 ton ttwo three times a day making my kitty sing You’re always watching your water temp and your pyrometer I also watch how hot my rear ends are getting cause Pulling puts the heat right in that iron And those things just don’t cool off you know what I’m saying
You did a good job Tim,proud of you!
Horsepower is 353 @1,900 RPM, Operating weight is 76, 897 - 77,856 lbs., Bucket capacity is 5.9 - 8.2 yd³ and the Fuel tank capacity is 124.9 US gal. This thing is a B E A S T no joke. You need to drive it through the pond first before you decide to sell it as that would be freanin' AWESOME 🙂
I think The pond would be a pot hole for it
@@Gentryandsons Hey Tim i know you don’t like drama but james hensley claims he has video recordings of Bruce wilson wanting him to attack you and other big youtubers .He also say’s Bruce talked a lot of sh$t about you on the phone call .Things like you wouldn’t have a youtube channel with out bruce helping u and what not .James Hensley posted one video and more to come in the next coming weeks he says

thats exactly the way i strap and chain the same vehicles here in new zealand dude ... perfect in my opinion
Would be good to get a tri axle truck for heavy haul
I used to drive Hayes hdx1000 in river’s inlet on bc west coast , I set a few load records at 184 tons , 189 two months later when we got into big Douglas fir, absolutely a mountain moving 👍🏻love that w-900 she got a good pull this load 😎
@user-qz6is2yw9t what is the prize I'm randomly selected 4?
Hello to your whole family!!! Hope everyone is doing good!!! Love the channel!!! I drive an ambulance and I've seen your Coronado out on the interstate a couple times!!! Awesome content and really enjoy seeing a family man out there doing good for himself!!! Can't wait to see all the projects come together!!!
Good help is hard to find and when you got one you take care of them Good job Tim !
Great video Tim, I really enjoyed it!!!👍👍👍👍👍
You get all them leak sorted out and have a good loader for you I think I’ll move some material that’s for sure they’re pretty reliable that chain you put in the middle is a gig because you need to have two on there you need to have four well two points to each side DOT is sticklers for stuff like that in the center pivot where it articulates Because believe it or not that thing a pivot really easy
That loader is perfect for loading mushroom compost.. it should be tall enough to dump over to sides of your trailer without having to put the truck in the pit.
Cool video thanks Tim….stay safe and hydrated out there
Id be nervous too! Go head driver!
I love how you take care of your employees!!
Don’t worry Tim you got this I felt the excitement more than anything
love your channel.you guys are awesome and down to earth real people which is rare nowadays
Excellent video bro, damn that W900 got some pulling power 💯
Tim may god bless you and your family. Stay safe!!!
This was a good one, nice job Gentry boys!!! Keep it up fellas 💯🔥👍🏻🔥
The love, appreciation, and respect that you give comes back to you 💯🇺🇸💕
W900 looks good pulling that big loader!!!
I’m new to your channel and seeing your son back the truck up to the trailer at the end was sweet always cool to see the younger kids enjoy this type of stuff, swear trucking is a dying breed anymore!
Nothing like having big toys. Bigger toys bigger repair bills. Have fun.
Like your content you have enough chains on it but put your transport safety arm on the Red bar under the step on left side I use to move those a lot . You guys stay safe out there.
Great video!! Good job moving that huge excavator and not breaking anything that wasn't already broke. Thanks for posting.
God bless you and your whole family for doing what u guys all do best; keep up the great work and jam and grab those gears!!
Tim, you pulled that rig right upon the hwy like the pro that you are, good job!
Awesome stuff man I love it . Nothin like the roar of a good set of stacks . I wonder how an autonomous truck would do ? 😂😂Ha Ha Ha !
What great videos love watching great guy and team
Thanks Tim for another great video thanks again
Tim you a great guy
This was a big machine and you handle very well.Thank you for your video. Wish you all the best.
I love your channel awesome footage I keep my boys with me in my tow truck as much as possible it’s like giving them a trade they will never forget will be buying hats soon 😎
Another great video, that is a good looking loader and the
W9 handled it great . That's great you helping your brother in law out like that .
You all take care and stay safe and I will see you all on another video .
Nate is the, one who I heard singing in the background when he was new to us hope he goes far and makes it big time. :-)
Well done Tim, and its good to see you using rachet binders, way better, way safer
I really enjoy your channel I was down in Cullman Alabama for 7 and 1/2 Weeks I thought we're going to take a different way but we didn't maybe next year I can stop by and say hi. But have a great and blessed day I'm sending prayers to you and your family
You unloaded that Tonka toy in my neck of the woods ,I have hauled the compost with the trucking company that I retired from, nice video the kw handled it well.
Love the channel haven’t missed an episode since I found it about a year ago. I actually work on loves and pilots out in Texas. I take care of the fuel tanks and dispensers. Yes the fuel business is boomin!
That was pretty cool The W 900 handle that no problem👍🏼
Love wattyyy!!!!
He’s a real one!!!
Tim you can never have too big equipment!!
21:38 See that big Red bar? That's a Pivot Lock. It swings forward and locks the front to the rear so it won't Pivot during transport.
Hey Tim !! With any Articulated Unit ,, the Brace under the cab has to turned & locked into place so that the machine CAN'T turn sideways even with the chains on it !!! Cross chains are required & where they cross need to have ""OLD" belting or "OLD"" fire hose in between them so they DON"T rub together !! Use ALL the D-Rings to secure the machine as hooks on frame rail will slide when machine moves under "HEAVY BRAKING ""!! You need to watch the HHTV Channel & see how he ties these loads down along with the other channels that do heavy hauling !!! Not to criticize you for what you are doing , just giving you advise as you asked !! 🤔🤔🤠😎😮👍👍
I don't know how it's done down there but literally nobody ever does that here lol
Hooks on the side rails work if there is an outrigger or d ring before it so the hook cant slide past it
Awesome video Tim W900 did a good job pulling that much weight. Appreciate you and Thanks for sharing buddy 👍
My dad used to be a trucker and man do I miss him but That's awesome bringing ur kid all over I used to go with my dad all the time and was so much fun just going. Rocking the w900 too!!! same truck my dad had and there powerhouses for shur.
That Ford is one of the best work Trucks on the market, especially when you have a driver who will help take care of it. General up keep such as oil change, tires, breaks is about as much as I have had to do to mine. Those 7.3 diesel motors are good on fuel as well if you have it turned right, and a driver who doesn't try to set record delivery times in it. Good video Tim thanks alot brother.
Ohh shit you done bought you a freaking gaint headache in the front loader , I hope you get a lot of use out of it before you have to do something major to it. That thing is in a different category when it comes to parts and labor prices, but they can get a Job knocked out in no time when they are running right.
W900 sounds great
Tim you and your dad have a happy fathers day love watching you guys have a good day be safe
That young man is awesome great video!!!!!
Heck yeah bud! And I think you did good, I have always crossed my chains on the ole Riggin eyes and have a piece of rubber gut between the crossing. But to each their own! Be safe out there!
How you chained that beast is exactly how we were taught and how we chain ours at odot here in Oklahoma
See you in the next one Tim stay cool
