DreamXD said that him and Dream are separate people, and that he is a protector. From the Dream Hunters story Dream is a dreamon and they got rid of that part. What if that's the Dreamon seperated itself to protect its home from the hunterssince it only appeared when they got close and said they'd light it. So imagine what would happen if they light it, the portal is(I think) build correctly to go in. Would multiple dreamons come out? Or is that what the egg is for?
(But this could be wrong because Tubbo said they'd probably got rid of Dream instead of the Dreamon)

Actually i don't think dreamon Hunter whould be back at season 2 the reason why dream xD destroy the end portal is because the rule were said don't go to the end portal but if you make table that's fine also the egg is not connected to l'manberg or dreamon story the egg is badland's story and dream SMP story i guess the dreamon story is a side story from tubbo that never use it for a long time
