It is phenomenal....best fishing investment I have made in years...I hv a 55lb trolling motor on it now but I just a ordered a 6HP Mercury, its time for a little more power and faster fishing.
@@RHDOutdoors I built a really nice solid motor a few yrs ago anticipating that I would get the gas engine but got the trolley motor instead....it attaches across both plates where the micro poles would be. If I could direct message u somehow I would send pics
Difficulty with buying your first kayak for fishing is a good one, there are just too many good options. I would like a 12 foot kayak with a min of 36" widths I am not particularly a big guy at 5'9 205lbs but weight capacity is a consideration. I want self propellation beyond the oars and want the option of electric or gas in future. Your step by step video was excellent in educating rubies like myself. I was not aware of technology of micro anchors and I felt for you about the considerable investment you made into those devices that did not deliver. I particularly perked my ears about the trailer as my wife just picked up a new Ford Escape and it came with a trailer hitch on the Titanium package. I actually could launch a kayak out of my back yard when the tide is a high as I have a few feet of water behind the wall that would bring me out from the marsh to river. However there are some great marshes to fish down Cape Cod that I have never explored. Again RHD, thanks so much for your very informative video and if you have the time keep making videos as you will pick up subscribers because you make a very good presentation and I am sure your content will be good.
Thank you for the kind words, Jack d! You are absolutely right about the amount of options out there. That's a good thing as just about everybody can find their dream fishing kayak. My advice to anyone looking to buy a fishing kayak is to try to find a kayak shop that has a pool. There's nothing like being able to test the speed and stability for yourself. If you can't, do heavy youtube research into the kayak you want. If you see people doing head stands in it, you can pretty much assume it is stable. 😆 My Titan is pretty much a little plastic bass boat. I can literally stand up and walk all over the kayak and I'm 245#
I got a hold of native watercraft and they have the Titan down there at the plant and they do have ones that are the blemish say like the color may not be perfect when it comes out of the mold or might be a little dip in it or something and they knock the price down considerably and I'm going down after the first of the year of this next year and I'm going to go pick one up I've got a jet ski trailer that I've modified to make it longer I put a longer tongue on it and I'm taking it down to load the kayak up and I'll get it ready for March when the salmon run starts up here in New York thank you for explaining about those micro poles I thought they might be good but obviously they're not worth the money or the time to put into them for what I do they actually wouldn't be worth the investment because I fish lake Ontario lake Erie and lake Chautauqua here in New York so thank you for the information Great video
Power pole has a newer model of the micro anchor. They are very good. I have 2 that they exchanged for the malfunctioning ones. They have worked perfectly so far. I have a video comparing the 2 versions.
Thank you for watching, Jim. In a later video, I showed how Power Pole improved their micro anchors. I slammed them pretty hard in this one but they have improved their product. Tight lines!
I've noticed that some work better than others. Of the 3 version 1 drivers that I've used, only 1 worked the way it was supposed to until the motor froze.
@@RHDOutdoors I actually fixed the motor freezing issue. Since I bought mine with the kayak from a persoNal seller. Turns out the internal board just lost connections to the main contacts. Once I cleaned it and put it back together . Started working again
I’ve got the 13.5. I suggest emailing native before upgrading your steering handle. They are making new ones now. They sent me a raised steering handle for free along with upgraded cable kit. How do you like the power poles ? I don’t know if it just isn’t as windy where I fish but I can’t hardly justify them because I have no issue pedaling to stay on a spot. But I only bass fish I’m never trying to sit on top of any stripe or crappie maybe that’s the difference ?
I fish in very shallow water where stopping and stopping in the right direction is critical. 2 poles stop me in the right direction and at the right time. Tight lines!
I've switched to a small mesh net for every day fishing but for when I'm really needing to net a fish quickly like in a tournament, I'll probably go with the larger mesh because it moves through the water faster.
damn I have watched nothing but good videos on those power pole anchors. I just want one I'm kind of worried now consider the remote doesn't work that well at range being only 3-4 feet from it. Well i hope they fix this issue before i buy one, Ill just wait a bit longer.
Not a step by step. But I give a quick explanation on my setup for marsh/sheepshead video. The build was so specific for the titan, I didn't think it would be a very useful video.
Hmm. Play with the range. You should get more detail if you shorten the range. This works for be because I'm always in a narrow canal or right next to the bank. The color blue also works best for me.
@@RHDOutdoors honestly if you can afford it the bigger the better. I don’t understand people wanting the smaller ones unless it’s a price point. Bigger ones are more stable, comfortable and easy to fish from and pedal just as easy.
No need to with the new ones. They work great. No problems yet! I'm a lunch pail guy myself but I fish so much I made the sacrifice but I hear where you're coming from. Thanks for the comment!

That's great at least somebody took the time to fix their mistake and their engineering problems you don't find that nowadays I'm happy for you
Great review, thank you!

I’m using the same micro anchor however I have the cables version. Only have one mounted fob in the kayak. Haven’t had a problem with it yet.

Whaaaat wish I wud have known before I paid $400 for the berleyPro items.

Some custom work with mines. I don’t link the net getting caught either

What made you get 14.5 instead of the 12 titan
I'm fat. Seriously, though. The extra room and the 2 power pole mounts.
