The video series are very fundamental and contains crucial informations for me as junior data analyst. Thanks for your effort and simple presantation. I feel lucky finding your videos. Great Work!
Hey Richard, thanks a lot for this episode and examples, it will help me out with one problem (using pivot) that I wasn't founding a solution. Your R tutorials are great, keep going
Means the world to me - thanks so much! Keep in mind that a lot of it is very much adapted from R for Data Science; what I have done is modify a lot of the concepts from there to fit a visual framework as well as to relate to personal functions I use more than others. The best GitHub code is built while standing on the shoulders of giants.
i dont mean to be off topic but does anyone know a way to get back into an instagram account?? I was dumb lost the login password. I would love any assistance you can give me.
@Romeo Zain thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im trying it out now. I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
i started trying out R back in 2020 and it was a bit different than python. But your video really made the concept easy enough to understand..could you recommend some great resources for learning R?
My favorite by far is "R for Data Science", a book by Hadley Wickham and Garrett Grolemund. It's actually the source that a lot of my tutorials were inspired by and is freely available online. There's also the book "Applied Predictive Modeling" by Max Kuhn which is my favorite for machine learning. I can't really recommend going for courses unless you care deeply about certifications, because I think there's enough free material out there that you don't have to pay for R content.
Hello Richard. I want to be Data Scientist like you but im from Turkey and starting to a middle class(actually even worse) university at MIS department and im 23 now. I want to work remote from Turkey to other countries or if not want to move better countries for work. Do you think can i do this, i will study hard for lessons and projects, internet learning from your channel and websites like Codeacademy. Do you think i can do this? I will make my English better
Greetings! I think generally to be eligible for work in the US, you have to be willing to relocate here and have a social security number and sponsorship - these things may be tough to do remotely. I'm not sure about other countries. Certainly I've known many in the last few years who came from all around the world who've made it, so if they can I think you certainly can as well!

Thank you; yes, I have at least 20 of them total planned!
Fantastic! Your GitHub code is very well explained, among the best I've seen of any R scripter. Consider yourself having a new subscriber ;)

@Romeo Zain it worked and I finally got access to my account again. I am so happy:D
Thank you so much you really help me out!
Man your content is the best. Hope you return soon
Thanks for this. It took a bit for me to understand tidy data, but now I can't unsee it, and I cringe.
Right?! I've almost developed a bit of OCD about it myself, over time.
Thanks for these clear instructions
tidyr package has ___ major functions to make the data look neat and tidy ?

@@RichardOnData Thanks a lot really appreciate it!
Gather and spread. Nice.
I've had to force myself out of an instinct now which is to use 'gather' and 'spread', rather than 'pivot_longer' and 'pivot_wider'!
Thank you for the nice tutorial
You are quite welcome!
