Me too. I miss riding so much but have a major lack of funds due to my wife's health and our location. I hope to change that next summer or summer 2022.
that was my plan! didnt want to use huge motor. didnt want to have to make many changes to buggy to fit motor so i went smaller. totally buggy weight was only 486 pounds. taller gear, and it worked out great!
misanthropist111 im wanting to take my 1991 katana 600 motor and throw it into a 2 seater full size go cart. It would be pulling me ( 186lbs ) and passenger. Do you think that motor is big enough?
wll1500 there's a way to put reverse on them, i didnt think it would be worth it though. I dont need it to often. I might add it later on down the road though
Nice job, Jeremy!! I have to admit that when first I saw your video, I was skeptical about the "little" 250, but after seeing it in action my jaw dropped open, WOW! So, I ordered the same kart and I'm now looking for a Ninja. It looks like a very clean, simple set up yet, fast, light weight and stable at speed. I was very impressed at stable that chassis is even going twice as fast as it was intended to go. Thanks bro!
This is stunning work. WICKED!! If it were mine I'd put a 10 tooth larger sprocket on the axle and/or 6, + 2 teeth smaller on the output(lessen the load on the shaft bearing too)and get some good crawl speeds out of it. You have way more top speed than you need. Beeee careful.
Hey Jeremy. Nice job man! I just picked up a KD150 about a month ago and was thinking of doing a motor transplant as well. Only difference is, I'm thinking of using a Honda 200S three wheeler engine. I've had one sitting in my shop for over a year now and figured why not? Pull start, 5 speed with auto clutch. I also have a billet piston, a 200X cam and a T6 exhaust for it that I was going to install on a Honda XR 200R. I ended up selling it and still have the parts. Ditto on the: "could you do a video showing how you mounted the motor, etc". I could really use some good ideas and yours looks like you did it all up to snuff. Nice job and thanks for the video.
200 with the 5 speed should work pretty good. i have a video on my channel of the build. shows some good pics of the mounts. if you need more than that just hit me up and let me know
jim52970 you have to keep in mind that those aren't regular "250cc" its a kawasaki nija engine 250. Way different than your standard go kart engine at 250cc. The thing is fukn awsome!
Jeremy Taelman Hey man do you know what this thing tops out at? I’m thinking about putting a cbr 600 in my buggy but just not sure the speeds I’ll be hitting.
DAMN, I Didn't realize that motor could get up like that... Man! And Ive had doubts about 250cc 300cc Bikes Shit! and this was in a Buggy too. Great Work Bro
thank you! 250 works really well, damn little thing whines out 16000 rpm. bigger jets in carb, k&N filters, high preformance exhaust and racing gas brought that motor to life!
i had a issue with the rear. thats why i waited a season before i got it powder coated. had to make better mounts and reinforce rear, and while i was at it i reinforced front just to be safe.
jean tube eu já tive um mini buggy fiphinha e troquei eu me arrependi de ter trocado meu buggy era novinho eu também já tive uma mini moto Biz mais roubarao🙁
that buggy would be awesome on the beach, a friend and i have been building a buggy the motor he wants to use is a ninja 1000cc - piranha is the buggy type - and he may end up in the hospital
wow you're genius. nice buggy.. is this thing can go reverse? i want to build one i'm an indonesian i have 2011 ninja 250r do you still need to pull up the clutch when you changing gear? or it's already semi auto?
How do you did this modification? I have a 150cc pgo buggy and I want to change the engine. I like this type of engine! Can you show as how do you that? Thankyou!!!
I'm dropping a ninja 250 engine in an old tao tao extended buggy frame. I am trying to find the best way to account for chain tension. How did you account for chain tension?
yes, buggy is costum built. i call it a off road mini buggy kawawaski ninja 250 in description because i used motor from the kawasaki ninja motorcycle.
Did you build this?? I just thought of a really good Motor to build a buggy with that nobody else has thought of, The KTM SuperDuke 1290R!! Lol That 1300cc MONSTER! It would be Perfect because it has like 100ftp of Torque... Yea, Nobodys done this yet!
bought base buggy, then tore it down and re-fabed. id say i built about 50-60% of it. turned out really well. little sucker flies and handles like a dream! that 1290 would be an awesome motor to use in a mini buggy project! i bought a bigger buggy not to long ago. its a long travel with IRS, gonna put a 1100cc or bigger in this one
I have a 13 tooth on front and a 47 on back. I couldn't find a bigger rear gear with that bolt pattern and pitch. Found a place that will make one for me. I will have it on by this spring. Not sure what size to put on though, I was thinking 60 tooth.
Let's all just take a moment to admire how smooth that dirt road is
it doesnt even look like dirt when he gets moving
its concrete
@@xavmeister99 it still do be dirt doe for a lot of the beginning
Don’t like smooth only muddy and bumpy dirt
😍😍
this video really helped me get away from reality just turn on the good music and cruse I miss times like these
glad it helped bro!
Jskgjsijg 8wjufjw,

@@27Zangle man thats sad, hope your wife gets better and you have a financially stable life in the future
This is one of my favorite videos right here dig the 90s grunge man
looks like a really good setup, its proof you dont need a bunch of HP if you have the right gearing.
that was my plan! didnt want to use huge motor. didnt want to have to make many changes to buggy to fit motor so i went smaller. totally buggy weight was only 486 pounds. taller gear, and it worked out great!
whats your gearing. im 16/60 on a r6 motor 24" tire. too much
Yeah thats my thought, I'm gonna make one but with a yz250f engine or a yz250fx..
I just said hell with it and I put a predator
V Twin
misanthropist111 im wanting to take my 1991 katana 600 motor and throw it into a 2 seater full size go cart. It would be pulling me ( 186lbs ) and passenger. Do you think that motor is big enough?
I’ve never seen such a perfect build, good stuff!
Good taste in music, sTp BaBY! That's what I'm talking about!
good jam to listen to flying down the road!
The biggest problem with dropping motorcycle engines into "off road" frames is no reverse....
wll1500 there's a way to put reverse on them, i didnt think it would be worth it though. I dont need it to often. I might add it later on down the road though
I was on a dirt pavement and I couldn’t even reverse my bike
Just turn and burn, it'll slide it around..lol
The reverse gear box for a gy6 seems pretty stout. There is a guy running one on a ninja 750 buggy, and I can't believe it holds.
Nice job, Jeremy!! I have to admit that when first I saw your video, I was skeptical about the "little" 250, but after seeing it in action my jaw dropped open, WOW! Love the sound of the 250 buggy.

That is a sweet buggy! I'm building one like that now.

I want this for my son. And thr color. He would love this.
it's for sale right now on facebook Illinois
Love the color of this buggy fits it so well
Great buggy, great music!
This is practically me. Cargo shorts. Chris cornell blasting. All he needs is a monster ultra by his side.
Chris Cornell huh? Stp fool....goddammit if your gonna brag know your shit
At first I was like ya cool but I would've used a bigger motor like a 500cc. That was until the 3:20 mark!!! 250cc is plenty..
haha, best comment ever! thanks for watching man!
jim52970 you have to keep in mind that those aren't regular "250cc" its a kawasaki nija engine 250. Way different than your standard go kart engine at 250cc. The thing is fukn awsome!
I have ten motorcycles n A 250 ain't one of those to slow in a bike slower in a cart

I love the videos keep the good work up
thanks bro
Cool little buggy dude.
Love the setup. How did you hook up the shift linkage and clutch?
I wanna know that too ?
I had a 250 ninja...this is way cooler!!
How do you feel about the suspension mounts? Would they bend or snap on a slight jump? they look flimsy
i had a issue with the rear. thats why i waited a season before i got it powder coated. had to make better mounts and reinforce rear, and while i was at it i reinforced front just to be safe.
Jeremy Taelman top speed?
Just cool
Shows my age... when i saw ninja 250 I thought "shrieking inline 4 revving to the moon.
for a moment I thought the video was in 360-degree format :v
That thing is sick.. Is that a custom frame?
part of frame is custom.
What's the original frame?
kandi 150cc
Looks Like Fun and Well Geared .
As soon as he gave it to it i was like whoa
JessiePVlogs lol, dont think anybody was expecting that part. Everybody probably thought i was just cruising around
Mantap bang.... pengen bikin mobil ini juga...nunggu mesin las nya ada dulu..😊👍

I'm building one with a 400cc Honda engine✌✌✌
I'm in the process of putting a honda 750 in one
Nice work ,fun bit kit
Badazz that looks 2 fun
using the stock gear box and reverse has been done many times with much bigger engines
Nice kart, was the engine swap pretty easy?
Nice color
My mate is build his are way smaller then your buggy and he has a 2013 ninja 250 to put in then that thing will definitely goes like a rocket
wow you're genius.
nice buggy..
is this thing can go reverse?
i want to build one
i'm an indonesian
i have 2011 ninja 250r
do you still need to pull up the clutch when you changing gear?
or it's already semi auto?
thank you. no reverse, but really do not need it. have to pull in clutch to start moving, after that i do not use clutch unless i am stopping.
Looks fun as hell
JustAnR6 its a blast bro
Did you build the chassis or is it off another company? If so which one?
Customized part of chassis and built the swing arm. Started of a kandi 150cc frame and re-did about 50% of it
After watching this i want one so bad
How do you did this modification?
I have a 150cc pgo buggy and I want to change the engine. I like this type of engine!
Can you show as how do you that?
Thankyou!!!
I would like the buggy cross design
This buggy is dope. Do you have a detailed build list for it?
hey mate do you leave the engine in the standard specifications or did some major/minor bore up? thx.
If you use a raptor engine you might have a reverse that would be hell of power n torque as well
Imagine this but with the zxr 250 engine lol you would be flying around at 19500 rpm
I’m making one of these but with a zx6r 600. How did you sent up your whole clutch handle and everything
Amazing
Where did you get it from and how much was it. Thinking of getting one like that.
It got gears 😁 sooner or later I'll have a buggy but not this this for sure
Thing looks fun
Hello I’m in 2021 and is wondering what go kart this is and where u got it so if u would put the link I would appreciate it😊
Very nice
Cool dune buggy
Well at least the music was good
Esse e bruto!!!
Olha o BR kkk, também sou
Please post a video of how you got it done greatly appreciated
I have one on my channel.
what is the wiring like with those engines? did you just get the whole wiring loom?
SED71 built the wiring harness myself
thats pretty cool, im currently having wiring troubles with my project, any chance you have a schematic of your wiring
2:55 take a starter from a car and build reverse
Great ride by the way
Have you ever check out the top speed of the kart with this setup
definition of fun!
That's pretty quick 😜😜😜👍👍👍
I'm dropping a ninja 250 engine in an old tao tao extended buggy frame. I am trying to find the best way to account for chain tension. How did you account for chain tension?

How much horsepower? Is it 39 or you’ve done some upgrades?
you built it? Cause i don't find any buggy on sale on kawasaki's site. It' so nice and seems very funny

I would put even shorter transmition ,better acceleration for lower top speed, because your 6 gear is useless . great build.
I have a 13 tooth on front and a 47 on back. I couldn't find a bigger rear gear with that bolt pattern and pitch. Found a place that will make one for me. I will have it on by this spring. Not sure what size to put on though, I was thinking 60 tooth.
i am getting the same buggy and putting a yz125 engine in it. my weakness for builds like this is wiring. and the 125 looks pretty straight forward
Best part of the video is Stone Temple Pilots.
You have the same helmet as I do
Would've been good if music wasn't used for the sake of making the video.
That's asome
so awesome!
Can u drive these in public roads
