Two words.... DEATH TRAP......lol Cool build! I use to work with my buddy who went to Rugters University. They built and raced a small Formula car as a part of their engineering degree. It too had a 600.... the thing ripped.

Flying by multiple wooden poles (that won't budge when hit)=death trap. Motor that way over powers what the frame and brakes were designed for=death trap. Driver who is over confident= death trap. I've been around the block. Almost raced motorcross. Studied Engineering in college. Have taken my fair share of risks. Also suffered a concussion that I still feel today. No one is saying not to have fun. You are likely a talented mechanic and a good off-road driver. Just be smart so you can enjoy getting out there for the next 30+ years. Bad stuff can happen in the blink of an eye. Trust me on this- or don't. It's your journey man but if multiple people are telling you the same thing- with no vested interest to steer you wrong- put the pride and ego on the shelf for a minute and listen...or don't. It does not effect my life one bit, but you have been warned. Cheers mate!😉
It looks a little too powerful to be able to control it well. I think that you should take off the front sticker, so the power will be a little more manageable.
Looks a lot like an ASW frame. I have an ASW kart and the stock 149cc 8HP engine beats it up in my yard. Top speed of about 29 Mph. I pop the front shock regularly causing the lower suspension arm to flip back and the nose to dig in standing the kart up on the front-end. (Thank goodness for the 4-point belts) I don't know how yours moves that fast and stays in one piece when it has to carry the weight of those giant, solid brass balls around. I love it!

It has it, but the rod kept slipping and throwing the rear end in neutral I have to stop get out pull the lever back in drive it sucked so I used a ratchet strap to hold it in the drive mode so it can't slip might of been from all the rmps

It has an actual reverse but unlike a car were its in the transmission this reverse the gear in the rear end. The motor has so much power going to the rear end that it will knock the rear end into neutral so i used a ratchet strap to keep it in the forward gear
Some people go to starbucks, order a pumpin spice late machiatto with double whip cream and then take 10 pictures for instagram and call that fun. Can't relate. This however... This does look like fun to me. There is just something about riding a beast that's screaming on the top of it's lungs at 10.000 rpm. What you have made here just sounds WILD. Well done.
I really love this go kart and the gas sound is really great I wish I could ride around gas go karts I really loved the gas sound from the beginning these are so cool and neat
A true death trap, I broke my forearm in half in something similar (double compound fracture). Be careful and keep your hands inside the vehicle for when this inevitably flips :)

@mynamesfred3533 try to widen your kart out and put larger wider tires/wheels on, and get a better suspension with more travel. It will help stabilize it

pro tip: a few degrees toe out on front and few degrees toe in on rear, along with slightly more camber on front than rear, and that thing wont understeer so bad

What all is needed in a build like this? I’m about to get an R6 motor on a trade. I figured ecu, fans, gauges. Anything else super important? I’m not a bike guy, but I’m wanting to learn.
Just whatever was on the bike really. There a couple really important fuses and relays you need when i did mine i had the entire bike and the only think i didnt really use was the fuel tank i put a much bigger fuel cell on there
Things nasty! My buddy bought one a guy built on a similar chassis with an old cbr1000r motor in it. Shit was insane, never had room to take it out of 3rd gear but we did around 85-90mph in it via gps. It also was tuned for avgas so it ran 100LL for shits. Miss that thing

@Piazzon Secundario yes the Guage cluster is different from the R6 it actually worked for a little bit but something caused it to fail after about 15 hours of run time so no more working Guages

awesome build. I think if you adjusted the steering so you got a about twice as much turning per degree of steering input, you'd have a better time.
I'd probably roll it then the slow turning probably helps me not roll it haha

The r6 is also a great bike in itself. Throw some offroad tires on it and it will do anything. Cboys makes some good videos with them.

That is not an R6 motor, the motor in the go kart is from an yamaha fz model and the gauge cluster also...
No its an r6 engine and I put the fz6 Guage cluster in it because it worked, the r6 one didnt

What all is needed in a build like this? I’m about to get an R6 motor on a trade. I figured ecu, fans, gauges. Anything else super important?

Just whatever was on the bike really. There a couple really important fuses and relays you need when i did mine i had the entire bike and the only think i didnt really use was the fuel tank i put a much bigger fuel cell on there
Things nasty! My buddy bought one a guy built on a similar chassis with an old cbr1000r motor in it. Shit was insane, never had room to take it out of 3rd gear but we did around 85-90mph in it via gps. It also was tuned for avgas so it ran 100LL for shits. Miss that thing
If this motor ever blows up im definitely putting in a 1000cc motor i wont have to push it as hard to getting it going, thanks for the for comment!

@@mynamesfred What motorbike is this engine? if is a XJ6, its a very common sportbike here in brazil, he congrats you for the swap ( i see its from an R6 right? but the velocimeter you use is from a XJ6 too lol )
@Piazzon Secundario yes the Guage cluster is different from the R6 it actually worked for a little bit but something caused it to fail after about 15 hours of run time so no more working Guages
