In addition, remember that the FDNY offers both a free CPAT Training Program at the Fire Academy on Randall's Island and Stairmill Training Program at the Fire Academy and at FDNY Headquarters in Brooklyn to assist processing Firefighter Candidates in improving their stair climbing performance.

When you're completing processing, you can also visit participating New York City Department of Parks and Recreation gyms to practice improving your stair climbing performance.
