2015 Nissan Altima 2.5L Camshaft Position Sensor

  • After searching and searching for where they were located in a 2015 (or newer) 2.5l 4cylndr I decided to locate them myself. I literally took me longer to shoot the video than it did to replace them.
*UPDATE. Use the OEM Cam Shaft Position Sensor. Aftermarket gets rejected by the CPU about 6 months later and the "check engine" light comes back on. It's because the CPU finally recognizes the part as "non" Nissan.

Hi, I have been looking for a video for crankshaft position sensor on a 2016 Rogue 2.5. This is the closest year I've found for the 2.5 but is that sensor in the same spot on the Rogue?? I've had people say the CPS is on back of motor - and just remove air box and hose and access it from top. I had been looking underneath.

    • @pcolasoldier31

If it's the same 2.5 it should be on the bottom. You can Google engine diagram and might find it that way or look up the part by year and model on the parts section on Nissan's website

Problem Fixed: Whenever your ECM detects P052B on L33, the first thing to check is your MAF sensor and Camshaft sensor. When the IAT is faulty is going to trick out the PCM and send wrong messages to some units such as fuel injector by pumping more fuel and oil. This will probably damage some other sensors such as camshaft, crankshaft sensor and PCV valve. to fix P052B code on Altima 2013 to 2015 you will need to change the cam-sensor after inspecting MAF sensor, PCV valve and intake air housing. Consider oil change before doing this. Tx

Dual cam engine and these are both directly over the end of the camshaft.
The crankshaft is on the backside of the engine. You access that from underneath the car. You have to reach just above where the catalytic converter is. The sensors (cam, crank, and speed) all kinda look the same except the connectors are shaped differently.
