Bee Swarm Simulator is arguably one of the BEST simulators on roblox, it is able to average 10k+ players for 4+ years, which is impressive for a simulator. Also considering the game RARELY gets updates, which is its mainly flaw. Onnett is too stubborn to listen to the community suggestions, what people want rarely gets added and Onnett is pretty lazy, well not really lazy, he just lost 'motivation' which every roblox dev gets somehow lol. Nonetheless, it is truly a great game. P.S. sorry for the paragraph

I think this video was pretty good the punch lines were set up good and the voice you did "imitating" kids channels or stuff generally makes it easier for kids was funny and the random bits where you started acting normal were pretty well timed overall a pretty good video other than that I think cursing should've been only in your normal voice
Eclipse, becareful with this game , bee swarm takes averagely >50 days of online gameplay to get the end game. Pro players even uses macros to play the game for 24/7 so somedude have 3 years of playtime. So don't expect you can make decent progress when you continue playing the game even for hours. But it's kinda addicting when you get to mid game.

Main problem you see is that the early game is so bare bones compared to mid-late game its repulsive. I literally slaved through the early game to porcelain tier not too long ago on a new account and it was dreadful. Onett has gotta rework the early game to be frank or just make it less mind numbing.
This is by far the funniest video Eclipse has made, and it's also educational! Really points out the flaw in these simulator games, mainly Bee Swarm and Snow Shoveling. WAY TOO MUCH GRIND.

I know this video is *quite* old (over 1 year as of writing), and you probably don't care about these comments anymore. This video is extremely hilarious because as someone who played it religiously for 3 years, it is exactly like this... kinda. There's a bit of a misrepresentation on some of the mechanics but that is understandable when you quite literally only played for about 2 hours. However, you're really spot-on on how it felt like to play it for the first time. Not so spot-on past that point though. It really does get better later on. This game has a huge *slow burn* problem and that needs to be addressed, and also that it might not be the most grounded (or as the kids call it, based) opinion/summary of the game if you don't progress through more of it. I do understand that you might not want to play this game after how fucking *grindy* it is. This is, however, a great insight on how the average gamer might be swayed away from the game's start, because a good first impression is important if you want your game to be successful. (Though I guess kids will just play literally anything nowadays, like a certain RNG experience) I may or may not be able to confirm how poorly made this game is because I have seen some of the internal code (ethically, for legal reasons) for this game while I was reverse engineering it, and it is a nightmare hodgepodge of spaghetti code and giant scripts that should have honestly been their own separate libraries. I've been recently working on a "mod" of the game that focuses on enhancing pretty much the entire game so when I found out you made a video on Bee Swarm Simulator, I was curious since I find the base game so repulsively bad (as an endgame player, obviously) and hoped for a more serious critique on the game. I mean, that's not exactly what I got, but I did get some pretty good insights from reading between the lines LOL While the constant holding of LMB is extremely repetitive, the later mechanics of the game just do not translate well with adding extra buttons. (If you didn't notice during your gameplay, you have a hotbar where you can drag items onto it to use them without going through your inventory.) Ability Tokens are essentially a replacement for conventional abilities, but I can see a "dodge roll" mechanic bound to Q being somewhat useful, however, I don't know by how much since you kind *don't* need to at all since later on you're so fast and bulky in defense that you're more reliant on your bees than you are dodging and your tool (which you should have been anyway, but the game doesn't really tell you that at all.) However, I kind of really like the idea of at least giving the player two "ability" buttons, but it seems a little pointless considering I have no idea what the ability buttons would do. You are incredibly correct though in Honey Marks being extremely powerful. One thing that new players don't immediately think of is converting without going to your hive. They end up wasting so much time between going in and out of the fields just to convert honey at the hive. This kind of later translates into the four "classes" of the game, where you kind of don't really want to convert at the hive except for Blue Bee-centric Hive players. I think what this game could have benefited from is making the quests more enjoyable. Introducing the players to various mechanics, and encouraging using items for quests (while also providing trial versions) so that they get a better understanding of the complexity of the game. However, this game is not automatically bad because of the long grind, and that's where I think the bias starts to kind of show. It's kind of like asking a Civil Engineer what they think of Butterflies on their effectiveness as a species. There might be a small connection since they specialize in efficient structures, but you're making them give an opinion on a topic they are not specialized for (and in this case you are specialized at reviewing fighting games at this point.) The only thing I can remotely say is wrong about this video is that this game "doesn't constitute as a game." Like I said, it's a bit of a "bias" to call it "barely a game" because it doesn't align with your expectations on a game. As long as it has a goal, mechanics, and a purpose, it's a game to me, and this short 8-minute video (which is an edit of 2 hours of footage) doesn't really showcase many of its mechanics (trust me, there's a lot of them) and I think it really only had at most twelve shown? (From the top of my head, the main collection/conversion system, bees, items, ability tokens, honey marks, bosses, enemies, bond, bee transformation, and quests) You kind of never got far enough to see where the game really shone (at least for me) like when it started encouraging using items such as Sprinklers to refresh the field, boosting items (Red Extract, Glue, Oil, etc.), Coconuts; and then of course Passives, such as on the Porcelain Dipper, Honey Mask, and Star Amulets (like Scorching Star and Star Saw). To reiterate, this game has a huge slow burn problem; but I think it's kind of not going to give you a good summary on how you should feel about the game if you only took 2 hours to play it, which is ironically a lot less time than what gaming journalists who can't even get past the tutorial of a platformer are given (which is often maybe 8 to 16 hours but playing this game for that long would drive me crazy.) But, I would definitely love a serious video on this game, what you think it could have improved on, and what you think it needed to make the early start a lot better than what it is now and will be for a long time, and what ideas you have for extra mechanics that could be piled ontop of what already exists (or ways to improve on the early game's tools and equipment). You don't have to play this game again, just a video of you explaining mechanics that could have been done better. Cheers!
I think the fact that 2 hours of straight gameplay didn’t have anything enjoyable is still really bad. Even if your game is the next Doom or Minecraft, first impressions are more important. Why would someone spend a long ass amount of time trying to experience the promise of a fun game, when the’re many more entertaining games (even in the same genre) which can give you an equally fun experience. Saying this as a bum who spent a wacky amount of time on the game.
I was thinking of a drinking game, so everytime eclipse says "beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee game" you take a shot. Then I realized no man would stand that much alcohol.
The reason I personally like this game is cause I don't have to concentrate but it isn't as simple as other simulators in this one you need to adjust your hive for optimal results and it has a ton of customization , I play it when I am in a call with friends and we are just talking idk satisfying. Probably one of the only simulator-type games with any kind of actual quality. It's one of the first simulator games too, and Onett has put a lot of work into it, compared to most who do the bare minimum for money and add micro-transactions everywhere.
bss has almost all of the characteristics of a generic simulator with no effort put into it: Cube pets!! WOOOHOOOOO Exponentially increasing grind! Content updates take entire years to develop despite being relatively small in size! Yahoo! Overpriced robux purchases! (multiple times a bundle containing a gaurunteed bee egg has released and costed over 1K robux) Incorrect information! (pollen is used by bees for protien, NECTAR is used for the rest of the nutrients and for honey, despite the bees converting pollen to honey) The one thing that BSS doesn't have is rebirths.

Main problem you see is that the early game is so bare bones compared to mid-late game its repulsive. I literally slaved through the early game to porcelain tier not too long ago on a new account and it was dreadful. Onett has gotta rework the early game to be frank or just make it less mind numbing.

This is by far the funniest video Eclipse has made, and it's also educational! Really points out the flaw in these simulator games, mainly Bee Swarm and Snow Shoveling. WAY TOO MUCH GRIND.

I know this video is *quite* old (over 1 year as of writing), and you probably don't care about these comments anymore. This video is extremely hilarious because as someone who played it religiously for 3 years, it is exactly like this... kinda. There's a bit of a misrepresentation on some of the mechanics but that is understandable when you quite literally only played for about 2 hours. However, you're really spot-on on how it felt like to play it for the first time. Not so spot-on past that point though. It really does get better later on.
This game has a huge *slow burn* problem and that needs to be addressed, and also that it might not be the most grounded (or as the kids call it, based) opinion/summary of the game if you don't progress through more of it. I do understand that you might not want to play this game after how fucking *grindy* it is. This is, however, a great insight on how the average gamer might be swayed away from the game's start, because a good first impression is important if you want your game to be successful. (Though I guess kids will just play literally anything nowadays, like a certain RNG experience)
I may or may not be able to confirm how poorly made this game is because I have seen some of the internal code (ethically, for legal reasons) for this game while I was reverse engineering it, and it is a nightmare hodgepodge of spaghetti code and giant scripts that should have honestly been their own separate libraries. I've been recently working on a "mod" of the game that focuses on enhancing pretty much the entire game so when I found out you made a video on Bee Swarm Simulator, I was curious since I find the base game so repulsively bad (as an endgame player, obviously) and hoped for a more serious critique on the game. I mean, that's not exactly what I got, but I did get some pretty good insights from reading between the lines LOL
While the constant holding of LMB is extremely repetitive, the later mechanics of the game just do not translate well with adding extra buttons. (If you didn't notice during your gameplay, you have a hotbar where you can drag items onto it to use them without going through your inventory.) Ability Tokens are essentially a replacement for conventional abilities, but I can see a "dodge roll" mechanic bound to Q being somewhat useful, however, I don't know by how much since you kind *don't* need to at all since later on you're so fast and bulky in defense that you're more reliant on your bees than you are dodging and your tool (which you should have been anyway, but the game doesn't really tell you that at all.) However, I kind of really like the idea of at least giving the player two "ability" buttons, but it seems a little pointless considering I have no idea what the ability buttons would do.
You are incredibly correct though in Honey Marks being extremely powerful. One thing that new players don't immediately think of is converting without going to your hive. They end up wasting so much time between going in and out of the fields just to convert honey at the hive. This kind of later translates into the four "classes" of the game, where you kind of don't really want to convert at the hive except for Blue Bee-centric Hive players.
I think what this game could have benefited from is making the quests more enjoyable. Introducing the players to various mechanics, and encouraging using items for quests (while also providing trial versions) so that they get a better understanding of the complexity of the game. However, this game is not automatically bad because of the long grind, and that's where I think the bias starts to kind of show. It's kind of like asking a Civil Engineer what they think of Butterflies on their effectiveness as a species. There might be a small connection since they specialize in efficient structures, but you're making them give an opinion on a topic they are not specialized for (and in this case you are specialized at reviewing fighting games at this point.)
The only thing I can remotely say is wrong about this video is that this game "doesn't constitute as a game." Like I said, it's a bit of a "bias" to call it "barely a game" because it doesn't align with your expectations on a game. As long as it has a goal, mechanics, and a purpose, it's a game to me, and this short 8-minute video (which is an edit of 2 hours of footage) doesn't really showcase many of its mechanics (trust me, there's a lot of them) and I think it really only had at most twelve shown? (From the top of my head, the main collection/conversion system, bees, items, ability tokens, honey marks, bosses, enemies, bond, bee transformation, and quests)
You kind of never got far enough to see where the game really shone (at least for me) like when it started encouraging using items such as Sprinklers to refresh the field, boosting items (Red Extract, Glue, Oil, etc.), Coconuts; and then of course Passives, such as on the Porcelain Dipper, Honey Mask, and Star Amulets (like Scorching Star and Star Saw). To reiterate, this game has a huge slow burn problem; but I think it's kind of not going to give you a good summary on how you should feel about the game if you only took 2 hours to play it, which is ironically a lot less time than what gaming journalists who can't even get past the tutorial of a platformer are given (which is often maybe 8 to 16 hours but playing this game for that long would drive me crazy.)
But, I would definitely love a serious video on this game, what you think it could have improved on, and what you think it needed to make the early start a lot better than what it is now and will be for a long time, and what ideas you have for extra mechanics that could be piled ontop of what already exists (or ways to improve on the early game's tools and equipment). You don't have to play this game again, just a video of you explaining mechanics that could have been done better. Cheers!

I think the fact that 2 hours of straight gameplay didn’t have anything enjoyable is still really bad. Even if your game is the next Doom or Minecraft, first impressions are more important. Why would someone spend a long ass amount of time trying to experience the promise of a fun game, when the’re many more entertaining games (even in the same genre) which can give you an equally fun experience.
Saying this as a bum who spent a wacky amount of time on the game.

I was thinking of a drinking game, so everytime eclipse says "beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee game" you take a shot. Then I realized no man would stand that much alcohol.
The reason I personally like this game is cause I don't have to concentrate but it isn't as simple as other simulators in this one you need to adjust your hive for optimal results and it has a ton of customization , I play it when I am in a call with friends and we are just talking idk satisfying. Btw i totally respect your opinion on it (i bet i misspelled 90% of those but english ain't my native language so i have an excuse HOORAY)

Probably one of the only simulator-type games with any kind of actual quality. It's one of the first simulator games too, and Onett has put a lot of work into it, compared to most who do the bare minimum for money and add micro-transactions everywhere.
WHAT IS QUALITY ABOUT COLORING 3 CUBOIDS AND CALLING IT A BEE?
bss has almost all of the characteristics of a generic simulator with no effort put into it:

Incorrect information! (pollen is used by bees for protien, NECTAR is used for the rest of the nutrients and for honey, despite the bees converting pollen to honey)
The one thing that BSS doesn't have is rebirths.
