    My experience with several of these products and a couple other "creamers" has been that none of them actually produce a creamy looking beverage. Probably a visual thing with me, but I want my coffee to be a certain shade of brown which none of them have been able to recreate like dairy creamers can. I'm trying to limit dairy products to see if it helps decrease arthritis pain. Thank you for this review.

  • @RV-there-Yet

    WHY is it that what these companies call a "serving" is actually what I refer to as a 'barbie winnebago' serving? Seriously~ none of them actually make the dang coffee creamy, no matter how much you dump in! Should not be allowed to call the product "creamer", it's more like watery nothingness, most of them.
    The "luo han guo" is monk fruit, which you likely already know. Was named after the Luo Guo monks who discovered it as a sweetener & health food eons ago. I researched how to pronounce it because I got tired of guessing; 'loo-uh hawn gwoh' ( like grow w/no R, sub W) for anyone who's interested.
    So crazy that I just finished up a rather expensive creamer quest myself, these past few months. Pretty sure I might have mentioned elsewhere that I drank "Coffee Mate S.F. Hazelnut " for at least 15-20 yrs~ which makes me want to barf AND cry, just thinking about the sheer volume of awful ingredients I ingested- errggh. Trying to move on, the human body is crazy amazing what it can heal & come back from!
    Thanks for sharing your thoughts/experience. Mine concludes w/the realization that basically anything I use, also requires a shot of heavy cream or coconut cream- liquid or powder...sigh. *Hey~ maybe we should create a whole new product?? Actually, my husband thinks I should "patent that" all the time~ he's so funny; "Write it down & mail it to yourself babe, I'm serious now" So am I~Love this guy =)

    I, too, have been trying to find a non-dairy creamer I liked since going DF (also per functional MD). I went through a good number of ones including Nutpods, Calafia, and some others. What I found that really works for me is Silk Dairy Free Half and Half Alternative in the green and white carton. It is oatmilk and coconut milk. I find it at Walmart (surprisingly!) and it has become my favorite. It is creamy and has just a hint of sweetness, but no added sugar at all. It froths up and to me, tastes fabulous. I have not missed half and half at all. I do realize that we all have our favorites--isn't it wonderful to have so many options to even try??? Thank you for all you do, Nili!

    Califia unsweetened coconut almond creamer is my favorite, I prefer the refrigerated kind over the shelf stable. I couldn’t get behind the NutPods, it’s not creamy at all. I use the Califia in my iced coffee but in my hot coffee I put in a whole egg and froth it … nothing better and I love the added protein! New subscriber! I’ve been loving catching up on your ketovore/PSMF journey, I’m on one myself! Thanks for sharing!

    I don't do anything almond based because it causes me so much inflammation. I will use cashew milk which does have a very small amount of almond in it, but it doesn't seem to bother me as much. I usually use either that or Milkadamia. Currently I am using Milkadamia since I found it at Costco. But I only use them for keto cereal. I use heavy cream for my coffee. I dont think I could handle the oat creamer because any kind of grain also causes me a lot of inflammation.

    We use Elmhurst Farms Milked Cashew.After years of heavy cream,we found this to be the best tasting and creamiest .Most of the other milks out there have added junk to them,this doesn’t.

      @IndigoNili  2 роки тому

      I looked for cashew milk at the store and was surprised at the lack of options. Just a few years ago cashew milk was all the rage! Now oat milk has taken the spotlight... which I hate 🤣 I'll have to look for the Elmhurst. Thanks!

    The Pic Nik unsweetened keto creamer is good. It has 4.5gm of fat per serving. I think a serving is either 3 or 4 tablespoons. I find it close to real milk/cream flavor. Maybe because there is no nut flavor at at.

  • @bettyo8417

    Picnick “sweet cream” ( purple ) is my favorite. It is sweetened with monk fruit but I still add a stevia packet to my cup of coffee. It is sometimes hard to find- Wegmans usually has it. MCT oil, cream , so not dairy free- probably why it is so delicious , 😂

    I've had other Califa creamers- the pumpkin spice one with last milk. Was ok. Not great. I've also had the Chobani last milk creamer. That I liked.
    I can't find most of the ones you reviewed but I live in the middle of nowhere. I have seen Califa and vital collagen. I already add vital collagen peptides to Mt coffee in the morning and I liked it because u don't taste it.

    I don’t know what it is about almond milk in coffee, but it always makes my coffee taste like what I imagine a tree would taste like. I too am not a fan of almond based creamers in coffee, they all have that effect on me. I do like the powdered Laird but I blend a scoop of their cocoa creamer with the unsweeted one into my coffee. I do find that I use too much powdered Laird to make my coffee the creamy consistency that I like. I didn’t care for their liquid creamer at all. I feel like I get better flavor from the powdered version. Vital proteins was terrible. It just didn’t add anything to my coffee. Non dairy wise, my go to is a tbsp of coconut cream from a can. When I throw that into a 10 oz of hot coffee with cinnamon, a few packs of monk fruit and blend it up for a few seconds it makes the most delicious, frothy, hot coffee ever. I haven’t tried the other varieties here so thanks for running through them for us. ☕️❤️

    • @IndigoNili
      @IndigoNili  2 роки тому +1

      Did you try just plain vital proteins collagen or did you get the creamer? Just the collagen won't add much to the coffee besides the health benefits 😋 The creamer has collagen plus coconut milk powder and flavors. ❤️

      @@IndigoNili I’ve tried the VP instant coffee with creamer (not very good), the stku cardamom instant coffee (I wish they didn’t use a sweetener as it left a terrible aftertaste, but the cardamom was nice), the vanilla flavored powder creamer in normal coffee ( it didn’t get my coffee creamy or add much vanilla taste) and the unflavored peptides in the blue tub. The peptides are fine on their own and they don’t change the taste of the black coffee at all. When I do fix myself black coffee I’ll throw those in. I’ve been using VP unflavored peptides for a little over three years now. They really made a difference in my overal nail strength. One day I decided to try their marine collagen without researching it and that was horrific as it smelled like fish and it was terrible in my black coffee. This company makes a ton of different products but I only seem to like and take the OG peptides.
