■ NEPAL, KATHMANDU: After five flights through 3 continents and two nights spent living on airplanes and trains without access to a hotel room I had finally arrived in the landlocked country of Nepal. I know I said I was going to do a major Latin America tour, and I will, but I need to do some reading and studying first. So I decided to pay a visit to a country that has picked my curiosity for some time now due to the mountainous terrain: Nepal.
I arrived without a visa as this can be picked up before you pass through immigration. After leaving the airplane and keeping a brisk pace through arrival hall I was one of the first to reach the electronic application machine. But not the first. There were a couple of guys in front of me. One of them turned around and suggested I could use any machine and said that the queue adjacent may move faster as it was manned.
So switched line. The new queue did indeed move faster so within a minute I was parallel with the guy who'd suggested the switch. And that's when I heard: Harald?
Turns out this was subscriber who'd seen quite a few of my videos who had come to Nepal due to some tragic recent circumstances but with some very important work to do. In fact, his mission makes him a true American hero.

This was the most serious video I have seen in a long time. It makes me feel so fortunate for what I have. My son has Downs Syndrome and is nonverbal. But overall his health is good and his is a great child. My heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to these children and their families.
I am so sorry for the loss of his son but he is taking a tragedy and turning it into a way to help others in need.

This video touched me though in a way no others have, what an amazing and courageous guy he is. Having suffered a huge loss of his own he has channelled that loss into something positive, something that will benefit many children for many years to come.
