We believe we are made of 4 elements of nature in hinduism, i.e air, water, earth (dust) and fire. The cremation process stands as we are born without anything in body, so do we leave likewise. The river water is to purify sins(submission to GOD as we wash our body before entering GOD's house) as in walking inside temple. then we are submitted to fire, the remnants of us as ash then is poured into flowing river through air. The fire inside mouth is to free our soul.
Its five elements brother, donot provide misinformation - PanchaMahaBhoota, according to Hinduism, is the basis of all cosmic creation. These elements are: Prithvi(Solid - Earth), Jal (Liquid - Water), Agni (Energy,Heat - Fire), Vayu (Gas - Air), Aakasha(Void, Container - Space ). I hope you will correct this one in your comment. Sorry @RyleighJayne because your guide could make you understand lot of things; she missed lots of things. The importance of pashupatinath is not limited to what guide described. Firstly It's Paśupati #PASHU #PATI #NATH OR Pashupatinatha, means "Lord of the animals".MEANS: PASHU MEANS ANIMALS PATI MEANS Supreme & THE NATH MEANS THE LORD. One who gets the opportunity to be cremated at #Pashu-Pati-Nath doesn't have to go through the chakra of reincarnation. Hindus hold that a person's soul leaves their body upon death and embarks on a new journey. Hindu philosophy holds that before the soul reincarnates as a human, it must first inhabit the bodies of 8.4 million distinct species. Thus, it is believed that human life is the best type of life. It is only in this life that one can attempt to break free from the "wheel of life," or "Samsara," by doing good karma (good deeds). The individual's Karma in this life will determine whether they are free to enter a new cycle of existence. The grace of union with the Existence (the supreme soul) will be enjoyed by an emancipated soul. In Hinduism, the physical body has no significance after death. The soul is eternal, and the body is merely its outermost layer. The transition from one body to another-which might not be human-is called death. All material objects are composed of Panchabhuta, or the five elements. Fire and water must thus be used to reduce the object to these five elements. Panchabhuta: The "five great elements" of Hinduism are bhūmi (earth), ap or jala (water), tejas or agni (fire), marut, vayu or pavan (air or wind), and vyom or shunya (space or zero) or akash (aether or void). The system of five elements is found in Vedas, especially Ayurveda. After death, the physical body has no further use. It does not need to be preserved as a result. Since they think it's the quickest way to release the soul and aid in reincarnation, they decide to cremate their loved ones. In Sanskrit, asthi refers to the leftover ashes from cremation. An essential Hindu funeral ritual called asthi visarjan, or the immersion of ashes in water, is carried out to aid in the soul's transition and attain moksha (liberation). For the family, this ceremony represents the ultimate act of closure. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The Sloka while she was putting tika on your forehead! The Planets Bhanu (The Sun), Shashi (The Moon), Bumisuta (Mars) and Budha (Mercury), ... 1.3: ... Guru (Jupiter), Shukra (Venus), Shani (Saturn), Rahu and Ketu, ... 1.4: May all of them make my Morning Auspicious. Why do the Nepalese or Hindu apply tika on their forehead??? The third eye chakra The forehead is thought to be the location of the "ajna chakra" or "third eye." This chakra is linked to spiritual awakening, perception, and intuition. It is said that applying vermillion tiki to this location will energize and open the third eye, improving one's spiritual awareness. Since ancient times, the area between the two eyebrows has been recognized as a major nerve point in the human body. The red 'tika' between the eyebrows is said to retain energy in the human body and regulate different levels of concentration, preventing the loss of "energy." P.S. You should choose the right tour guide because you were eager to learn and the guide is kind and innocent but knows very little. If you choose the right person or make the right decision, you can learn a plethora of things. Namaste!! 🙏🛕🚩

Hi Ryleigh. I was raised in the Pashupatinath premises, and Pashupati is what I call home. Having been living abroad for a while now, it felt very nostalgic to watch home on TV. A very special feeling indeed. Thank you so much for sharing. I wanted to share something with you too- anytime, I would feel overwhelmed with life, I would sit at the bank of the river and watch the cremation process. Somehow, while doing so, it used to feel as though my problems had faded away and they no longer mattered. Love your videos. Wishing you good luck. 🙏🏼
Ryliegh Dont miss the Aarati of Pasupatinath temple which is mesmerizing rituals that happens every evening at 6pm. Aarati is a ritual of worship in which light from wicks soaked in ghee (purified butter) is offered to God. Pashupati Bagmati Aarati follows three priests conducting the custom with oil lamps, lanterns and other religious elements by chanting sacred mantra.
is she is your tour guide that you got the worst one she cant even explain any thing properly and didn't let you go inside the temple any one can go inside the main temple they don't have to be Hindu any one can go. love your content 🤍🤍
The guide gave tourists misinformation that I did not like. Because everybody is allowed to enter the Pashupatinath temple. But Only Hindu people have faith in the Hindu god. A person who follows every religion like Hinduism, Buddhism, and Christianity has the right to enter Pashupatinath. There is no burden. So don't give anyone misinformation about our religion and cultural heritage.

Pashupatinath Temple is a sacred Hindu temple located in Kathmandu, Nepal, along the Bagmati River. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva, specifically in his manifestation as Pashupati, the lord of animals. The temple complex is sprawling and includes many smaller temples, ashrams, and monuments. It is considered one of the most important Hindu temples in the world and attracts pilgrims and tourists from all over the globe. The temple is known for its intricate architecture, religious significance, and the ritual cremations that take place along the banks of the Bagmati River.
Lord Ram name & Hindu inscriptions are written on Yellow fabric .. And After Death All Hindus carry dead body and chant : Ram Naam Satya Hai : Meaning Ram Name is the Only Truth.
Guide who is explaining Hinduism seems to be lacking many things regarding religion. She even don't have concept, why we should wear thred? Better you have hired professionals.
11:30 not only ppl from Kathmandu , but every Hindu all around the world can cremate their body there .. And more than 100 or more ppl gets cremated here in average . now days there is also electric cremation available in Pashupati nath .. Cremation is the best scientific way to manage a dead body ..
Pashu (Animals)+ Patinath (Lord)=Lord of Animals. IN Hindu religion, everyone wants to attain Moksha after death rather than being the part of life & death cycle. What our belief says is, After Moksha, the soul become the part of Lord Shiva. Yellow/Orange color have high significance in Hindu religion, that is the reason, every religious work we do in Yellow or in Orange cloths. Washing them with holy water signifies that we are making his body pure as he is going to be the part of Lord Shiva. Blowing Horn ("Shankh") means, summoning the gods, it also signifies the its the beginning of religious activity and people should be attentive to that.
If that guide had been made a bit more detailed, it would have been better. Every Nepali possesses basic knowledge, so it should be explained in detail
As an nepali, I can sure that every religious people can enter there it is not specific for hindu😢 but bring Camera inside temple may be prohibited but every religious can enter and pray for gods😊
I must admit, initially I was taken a back, thinking on my “god” you can’t show that. And was going to say you need a warning like we do in Australia about Torres Strait Islanders and there may be images of dead bodies etc… But in the end it is what it is and it is what they believe. And it’s pretty close to what I believe as well, so it all worked out. I have always been more Buddhist than anything. , As well worth believing in and what goes around comes around i.e. we start off as dust and we end up as dust.
In Hindu mythology, we are made of 5 basic elements (Pancha tatwa). They are land or soil, air, water, fire and sky. You are made from these and when you die your body will finally go back to disintegrate to 5 basic elements. Your soul goes to sky and your body is introduced to fire which will disintegrate further into ashes which is soil, when you let the ashes flow in water some of it will mix with air and most will dissolve in water. So a life started from earth is finally submitted back to earth. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
That's not the back side, it is the front side. All hindi temple faces east. When I was kid we could go on from the front gate but it had been 20 years they closed the front door
first fire start from mouth Because all the bad karma that's starts from tongue i.e speaking so it must be burnt first . Words are the most powerfull then we think in hindu the MANTRAS and chanting all of that have its significance. In our lifetime you use words that is not good or unintended your speak which may have been hurt to others so it must be burnt first. And if you see in Mahabharat the hindu holy book there is big fight against brothers which is started by the un pleasant word by KRISHNA(durpadi) to Durodhan and later catalystized by NOT SPEAKING BY HONORABLE PERSON in the country seeing injustice happening . THATSWHY words must be use is right place . and for it is like punishing the first the main part of human that is in most of case main reason to ADHARAM(the things we should not do ).

Firstly It's Paśupati #PASHU #PATI #NATH OR Pashupatinatha, means "Lord of the animals".MEANS:
PASHU MEANS ANIMALS PATI MEANS Supreme & THE NATH MEANS THE LORD.

The Sloka while she was putting tika on your forehead!
Brahmaa Muraaris-Tripuraantakaarii
Bhaanuh Shashii Bhuumisuto Budhash-Ca |
Gurush-Ca Shukrah Shani-Raahu-Ketavah
Kurvantu Sarve Mama Suprabhaatam ||1||
Meaning:
1.1: (In the early morning I remember) The Devas Brahma, Murari (The enemy of demon Mura, refers to Sri Krishna or Vishnu) and Tripurantakari (The One Who has brought an end to Tripurasuras, refers to Sri Shiva), ...
The third eye chakra
The forehead is thought to be the location of the "ajna chakra" or "third eye." This chakra is linked to spiritual awakening, perception, and intuition. It is said that applying vermillion tiki to this location will energize and open the third eye, improving one's spiritual awareness. Since ancient times, the area between the two eyebrows has been recognized as a major nerve point in the human body. The red 'tika' between the eyebrows is said to retain energy in the human body and regulate different levels of concentration, preventing the loss of "energy."
P.S. You should choose the right tour guide because you were eager to learn and the guide is kind and innocent but knows very little. If you choose the right person or make the right decision, you can learn a plethora of things.
Namaste!! 🙏🛕🚩
🙏
Pleasant surprise to see you uploaded another great video. Thanks for the Nepal series. I'm genuinely considering going in the next 1-2 years. Greetings from Puerto Rico 🙂
Thank you for watching! So glad you enjoyed it 🙏😊
4:28 when she’s said you can’t enter the temple that’s only for Hindu I apologize for that there’s no such thing that we hindus don’t allow any other people to go in temple she’s such a underrated guide u can go visit, pray or even worship the temple and once again sorry for what the guide said
Pashupati gaxainau kya ho? Tya lekhya xa ta only hindus are allowed bhanra.
Wow, Thank you for your comment. I’m so glad you enjoyed the video 🙏
Ryliegh Dont miss the Aarati of Pasupatinath temple which is mesmerizing rituals that happens every evening at 6pm. Aarati is a ritual of worship in which light from wicks soaked in ghee (purified butter) is offered to God. Pashupati Bagmati Aarati follows three priests conducting the custom with oil lamps, lanterns and other religious elements by chanting sacred mantra.
is she is your tour guide that you got the worst one
she cant even explain any thing properly and didn't let you go inside the temple
any one can go inside the main temple
they don't have to be Hindu
any one can go.
love your content
🤍🤍
Non-Hindu and non-hindus arent allowed to enter the temple.
Pashupatinath Temple is the largest religious place in the world in terms of area. Its area is approximately 2,460,000 square meters.
Wow 😮
everything is fine but get a better guide next time!!!!!!!!
She did that in previous video aswell. She lacks information though she have 10 years experience. Her english is not so good for being guide😅😅
Kam napara gareko hola yesto educated Hola halka fulka English bolo j sodhey ni ritual bhano bhaii go khalko Hawa yesto guide bann garnu par xa tyo field ma padheko manxey hunu par xa @@angreemann321

@@dhrubaneupane3372 bro nobody is perfect in anything and so the guide also doesn't need to more. Guide gave her best to interpret the thing!
11:30 not only ppl from Kathmandu , but every Hindu all around the world can cremate their body there .. And more than 100 or more ppl gets cremated here in average . now days there is also electric cremation available in Pashupati nath .. Cremation is the best scientific way to manage a dead body ..
Wow so beautiful and wonderful 🕉️🕉️🕉️🕉️🕉️ Namah shivay Jai shree Ram,.. welcome to India my friend I always support you...
Picked wrong person for guide
I am sorry but I didn't like the guide. She shouldn't treat tourists like this, your kindness and humbleness won me.
Thank you for all this information! That is so interesting 🙏
If that guide had been made a bit more detailed, it would have been better. Every Nepali possesses basic knowledge, so it should be explained in detail
Its like " Pashu +pati+ nath "= pashupatinath
Pashu = Animal or all living beings
Pati = Head of Universe /leader
nath = Lord
I didn't knew non hindus r not allowed in this temple generally hindu temples are open to all ❤🕉️
The guide had some misinterpretation: The temple is not only for the Hindu of the Kathmandu Valley. She is a disgrace as a guide.
Interesting, The curiosity about the cremation of Hinduism is clearly shown to the people of the world who want to know about it.
Thank you so much visits to our Hindu country Nepal. Almighty god pashupatinath bless you . Har har mahadev.
How could she be a guide 😢???
for the first time I came across a guide with poor English and her lack of knowledge as a guide.
You are very underrated 😢 you have capacity of gaining more frame😢😊
In which month you are coming to jaipur (India)
first fire start from mouth Because all the bad karma that's starts from tongue i.e speaking so it must be burnt first .
Welcome welcome to India
Somnath mahadev temple. Dwarika temple.Girnar parvat..
I always support you friend..
