The spastic squiggle is actually russian cursive which reads Луч (Luch) and is thw brand name going way back! Luch in russian means Ray. Come to think of it, the name works brilliantly here! In plane geometry, a Ray is a line segment radiating from a point outwards, usually drawn with an arrow head pointing towards infinity. In this case, the single hand is that ray! Love it! I just ordered this watch too. Can't believe Belarus still chugging its industrial legacy along. I don't think any other country from the soviet union makes anything these days that you can sell on amazon.
There are at least half a dozen interesting and excellent value Russian watch brands, from low priced Vostok's to higher end, very cool and stylish, Raketa.
I’ve had one for a couple of years and really like the novelty of it. It takes the exact nature of telling time and turns the whole experience into kind of a Zen thing. After all, who needs the EXACT time anyway? I mean, it’s not like I’m running a railroad. Being within 3 minutes ( as you havre said) is good enough for me. It’s a fun timepiece for the collection.
Based on how many people have told me they've never seen a single-hand watch before, yeah, I would imagine that this could be a serious conversation piece at the office..

Your thinking of bronze as far as the too expensive case material. Chrome plated brass is about as cheap as they come. Think most timex watches, if they're super light it's most likely chrome plated brass. The case material is chromed brass,not bronze.
You're actually 100% correct - I mistook bronze for brass - talk about a damn brain freeze. Eh - can't be perfect in every video.. If I can get it right in at least 60% of my videos I'll be happy with that LOL
I use mine as an office/dress watch, nice ubderstated and since i need such watch once a year the price makes it perfect, as a bonus it is a conversation starter :)
The case is made of stainless steel - this is 100% information. Everything is done there in Belarus. This is a unique watch and no other plant produces such. Caliber , body , strap and glass :Everything is made in one factory. even Rolex orders arrows for himself. And the fact that you have an engraving on the back cover, you are very lucky - this is a limited version. If you don't like it, давай с тобой поменяется . У меня такие же часы в коллекции ,но синего цвета . Там стоит беларусский механизм от женских часов , потому они такие компактные . Но и нужно знать, что эти часы родом из СССР , а тогда не принято было ходить с большими часами . Там все аутентичное
Reading the time to within 3 minutes is not good at ALL. With a combination of a properly designed dial and hand you could get it to one minute accuracy in telling the time. I am trying to see if I could get my idea into an actual watch. Anyone know know anybody who could build it for me?
You could have made an objective review without being condescending. You need to remember that a lot of people in Belarus made their best efforts in trying to come up with their best watch brand, the Luch.
I wasn't condescending in this video - I was honest. If you don't like the fact that I didn't praise this piece just because "people in Belarus" were involved, go watch another channel.

Agreed. If you're not doing something that requires precision in exact minutes or seconds, it does the job.

I have this watch in my collection. The quality is not very good , but its a fun watch and i like it . Lets me know roughly what the time is 👍
