I'm a former programmer, and windows power user, been a techie since the days of MSDOS 5, and I have to tell you being able to follow along with the voice instructions while clicking all the steps was absolutely brilliant. Thanks.
100% agree! As an AI/Software dev leader responsible for educating tens of thousands of budding developers, I especially appreciated your demeanor, clarity, and clearly structured content. Your video made it a cinch to knock this out even though I was beyond exhausted and couldn't be bothered to read one more scrap of documentation for my day, haha. You killed it. Thank you!
StarUI Inventory and Workbench are both working well and have always been. I've been running Inventory and Workbench with no problems, until this patch rolled out I was using Shipbuilder with the empty habs suppressed. After Creations hit, SF seems to be more strict on file placement. My personal experience was that all the files had to be placed in the Documents -> My Games -> Starfield -> Data directory, NOT the actual game install directory. The jury is still out on StarUI HUD, I don't use that and there have been a LOT of changes in the HUD system that could conflict. Case in point was the "Show Power Names in HUD" that broke some functionality right after the rover update.
how do you check which fps version you have? i did a patch for each of them and it places them in the fps labled folders instead of the patch ones which makes it easier for file management but im not sure how to figure out which version i have in particular. im going to experiment and see how my game processes. update: it created the files as patched files rather than SWF files but i will see if these still apply
Two things If your patched files are not appearing in the Patched folder you are doing something wrong. You may have renamed the GitHub folder instead of the file which it contains. To get the correct version to patch you could reinstall the mod.The loader will give you the choice of fps
The mistake I made first time that resulted in the patches not showing up was I renamed and copied the FOLDER coming from GitHub not the FILE inside. They have the same name so it is confusing. See if that helps and let me know.
@@willny4 I have the same problem, I did everything exactly like you in your video, I did it three times and nothing in the patched folder when I run the fixup file I see the window opening and closing instantly, I even have the windows notification "do you allow this program to modify files in your computer" or something like that but still nothing in the patched file...
@@VictorEscolano-o9w Grizbane has posted the fix on its own page. www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/11467 He says that your problem could be caused by the file not being unzipped completely but you should ask him for help in the posts section of the mod
I just wanted to let you know that you're an awesome person for making this tutorial
Thanks
I second this motion.

The mod author has abandoned the whole series but not released the code so it doesn't look good

Thanks! I bet you have the Industrialist, Long Hauler, or Homesteader background ;)
I'm just a humble guy although in a recent Ng+ carry over I did choose "all the companions are me" universe.
If you are finding another identical StarUI-Patch folder inside the Patch folder delete it before patching the files or it wont work.
You are right
