- This is my honest review of the LEKATO Wireless System WS-100 that @Lekato_Offical kindly sent to me a couple of weeks ago.
I was especially curious to know how this system works for acoustic instruments. That's why I tested it on acoustic guitar, mandolin and violin. Hope this video can be helpful for finding the right gear for you!

What do you think about the sound quality? Would you consider using a wireless system like that?
Let me know in the comments!☺
UPDATE on battery life:
I tested it at a couple of live shows now. So far no problems whatsoever within a 4 hour show!
Awesome review! I've been using a Line 6 system for years but recently ordered this system for my acoustic guitar and your video answered all the questions I had. I agree that even on a cellphone speaker you can tell a slight difference in tone, but that's what eq is for. Thanks again!
Thanks for your feedback, glad I could help 👍🏼
I need one of these !!!!! Thanks for the video
I'm looking to buy a wireless system for my guitar ( Acoustic -Active pu ) so thanks. Good review. Not sure what's available in Canada but I'll look for these. Nice playing on ALL the instruments as well. ( My impression was that there was still something slightly 'off' with the quality of the violin - not sure, but sounded a tiny bit 'muddy' )
Hey Dennis, thanks for sharing your feedback on this! And for your kind words :)
Did you think something with the violin was off just for the wireless system or just in general (cable included)? Cause I actually think I did set the input gain just a little to high on the violin. For the difference in cable vs. wireless - I can't hear a lot of difference there, but you might have a better ear... Anyway, I hope you find the right one for your needs :)
Love mine. But now im using two different pickups so now i need another.
Interesting review. Losing all of the wires would be nice - but not sure why everyone has not gone wireless as the cost is not prohibitive. Keep us posted if you find any differences or obstacles. Lydia & Rick
The thing with those little wireless systems is that they can only operate on one specific frequency. In this case 2.4 GHz. If you replaced all wires with the same system, the frequency would get „crowded“ and at some point stops working. If you wanna lose all cables (with a band or more people on stage) you‘d probably have to go with the more expensive wireless systems that can operate on different frequencies.
Those little one’s only work if just one or two people use them at the same time :)
@@easykrohn Great explanation. As usual with musical equipment - that now sounds expensive, as it doesn't take much to get a bunch of cables going. 🙂
I got my shaw mendes martin this week😊
Yeah! So what do you think about it so far? :)
@@easykrohn its lovely...i love the balance....
@@robertahli3738 great to hear you like it 👍🏼😊
Hihi, thank u for the wonderful review....may i know wat type of pickups does yr acoustic guitar and mandolin has?
Is it peizo with preamp or peizo without preamp?
Hey! Of course :)
My Taylor guitar has the Taylor ES-B pickup installed which is a behind the saddle pickup with 3 indiviually placed piezo sensors. Its active preamp unit has a volume and tone knob. The mandolin has an under the bridge piezo strip pickup with a passive preamp with tone and volume. I don’t know what brand that pickup is though tbh.
Hope that helps :)
We aren’t hearing just your pickups though… im hearing a room mic also. But yes wireless is pretty incredible. Im a convert
Nope. Room mic is turned off for the sound example section😉
