I absolutely love this radio show as they introduce so many amazing bands/performers!!! Unbeknownst to me my baby brother's band was recently featured!!! Rubblebucket is phenomenal! If you've not seen them live, you're missing out! They're on tour now, so check out their tour schedule and see if they're poppin' up in your neighborhood.
Pints raised to the folks at KEXP for such great production! I'm a video producer who also has a band so I tend to be a bit more critical of sight and sound than most folks. This sounds awesome! It may sound better than the CD. :) Caught them a month ago in Miami at the Virginia Key Grassroots Festival and happy to be seeing them here in Ithaca, NY on 4/11/15. They have a unique energy and creativity. If you go see them and don't walk away with a big smile, you may have a problem. Thanks Rubblebucket and thanks KEXP.
Man, what a set! I just had this passed along to me, and I'll definitely be following Rubblebucket from now on! Now to grab tickets to their show in Ithaca!
I am just gonna say it Rubblebucket is the best live band you will see not only that the music/lyrics out of this world. I long to see them live in person perhaps one day I'll get the chance they are playin Bosten alas I missed out this time round.
Was unable to see them this go around, but they are a FANTASTIC show! All their love and passion pours out in the show through amazing music: Favorite Band!!
Just saw them last night @ Higher Ground. Best show I've seen in years. HUGE energy. I strained by abs dancing. Getting old bites but, Rubblebucket doesn't.
Just heard them for the first time last Saturday on WRUV. This Saturday found this show AND found out that they're coming to Higher Ground in Feb! Life is good.
What a great band! So fresh, so good. Am I the only person wondering why she dances in that pink sheet every time there's a musical break in Carousel Ride though?
Kexp yall are by far the best at having live sessions but I cannot stress this enough LEAD VOCALS GOTTA BE HIGHER WHEN EFFECTS ARE ON. we cant hear her singing its just mumbling. Overall sound is 100% besides that though.
Could be but I personally think it would sound better without as many effects. Then again I'm not her but that's just my opinion. They're still cool as hell
I love her faces
Just finding this bunch, loving it so much in 2024~
her voice is not a voice, its an instrument! Wow
Still one of 2-3 best KEXP performances! Also fckn great mix, especially drum sound!
Rubblebucket rocks. The whole band is so tight but Kal is just so amazingly brilliant to watch and behold the magic. This music inspires.

I'm often afraid that band like this will sound like a cacophony , but this was legitimately beautiful! What a wonderful construction!!

Same goes for a lot of the artists/bands that show up on KEXP. They really are top notch when it comes to live studio performances.
Audiotree always has fantastic production too
KEXP and NPR vids through a decent DAC then to a nice old Nakamichi tape deck is gold :)
Can't wait to see these guys live. So glad they're coming to Boston in a few weeks. Love those horns and bass
Saw both shows in San Diego, what an amazing dance party!

PLEASE COME BACK TO VANCOUVER, BC, CANADA.
Saw them in Boston. They were excellent live. They're good here but it's no comparison to the quality they provide in-person.

соотношение - вок.данные - эмоции надо бы выровнять, sorry ,всё окейно )
percussionist repping first avenue
They love ear phone's.
I'd like, if it change the singers. Every hour change .
Kal's saxophone embouchure makes me want to hurt something.
Instead we got Florence and the bloody machine?!!!
John Richards looks like Greg Fitzsimmons with a little bit more hair
Thom Eiser Sounds like him too
Look! a Beautiful Camel Toe @5:19 . What an amazing band!
Too much reverb and delay on her voice yo
maybe that's what she's going for...
Paul gim word up to that...her voice cracks are intentional...live with it ...hate it...so be it...ill still live
Could be but I personally think it would sound better without as many effects. Then again I'm not her but that's just my opinion. They're still cool as hell
Gitai Vinshtok I just saw them live last weekend and I noticed this too.
It sounds amazing in an actual venue though, rather than a radio station.
A disgusting display of chops and musicianship......simply disheveled following this performance, and I've seen them live before.....
