- June Allyson as Jo and Rossano Brazzi as Professor Bhaer in 1949 Little Women.

There was a real-life Friedrich Bhaer. In fact, you can find him from all Louisa May Alcott´s writings. Read my full- research cultural and historical evolution of Friedrich Bhaer: www.fairychamber.com/blog/evol...

Thank you all for commenting. Check out my essay about Louisa´s love for the real life Friedrich Bhaer and how she believed that in the after life she would re-unite with him. www.fairychamber.com/blog/evolution-of-friedrich-bhaer
Ohhh, Rossano Brazzi, the absolute *dreamboat* that you are....!!!!

Thank you. It was so much fun to make
He's so handsome it's not even funny!!
Rossano is pretty damn gorgeous! Please do check out my video essay on Louisa May Alcott and the real-life Friedrich as well tinyurl.com/yy8qa542
I agree! What a beautiful man....those eyes. :)
I have not seen this version yet, but I am struck by the neatness of his hair compared to all other Friedrichs.
That´s probably because in the book Jo likes that Friedrich´s hair gets all messy when he is exited :D The polished look works better with Rossano. I am planning to make an episode about Jo´s and Friedrich´s dynamics in this film at some point.
I remember watching this movie when I was 16 yrs old and crying when Jo rejects Laurie.
Laurie is so romanticized in every adaptation, compared to the book. You should check this episode which goes deep into that ua-cam.com/video/9IGQC4fHCL4/v-deo.html
